The Corporate Office has issued notification for holding a Special JTO LICE on 18.12.2022. However, provision for reservation for the Persons With Disability (PWD) has not been made in this examination. This has given rise to apprehensions in the minds of the Non-Executives belonging to the PWD category. As per the order of the DoP&T, 4% PWD reservation has to be made for the employees belonging to the PWD category. Hence, BSNLEU has written to the PGM(Estt.), BSNL Corporate Office, requesting to issue necessary corrigendum to set the apprehensions to rest. 

All are aware that, as per the new policy, the BSNL Corporate Office has decided to allot Office Accommodation to the Recognised Unions and Associations only at the CHQ, Circle and BA levels. BSNLEU is demanding that, the office accommodation already provided to the district unions functioning at the OA level, should not be withdrawn. BSNLEU is continuously taking up this issue with the Director (HR) and the PGM(SR). BSNLEU has suggested to the Management that, the Office Accommodation of the district unions functioning at the OA level, with a minimum of 15 paid members, should not be withdrawn. Following this, the Corporate Office has directed BSNLEU to inform the names of the district unions functioning at the OA level with a minimum paid membership of 15.

Hence, all the circle secretaries are requested to immediately furnish the names of the district unions functioning at the OA level with a minimum paid membership of 15. We wish to inform all the circle secretaries that the CHQ is trying hard to retain the office accommodation for our district unions at the OA level. However, it may become possible only if all the circle secretaries cooperate with the CHQ by immediately furnishing the details in the table given below. 

The JTO Phase-I training is commencing from 28.11.2022. The training centres are ALTTC, BRBRAITT, Pune, Trivandum, Kalyani and Mysore. In this training, 14 candidates of Chennai circle and 8  candidates of Tamil Nadu circle had been allotted seats in ALTTC, Ghaziabad. For the Tamil Nadu and Chennai candidates, ALTTC, Ghaziabad is not only a far away place, but the candidates will undergo hardships due to climate, etc. BSNLEU took up this issue with the Management. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, discussed this issue with Ms. Samita Luthra, GM(Rectt.), BSNL CO. The Management acted swiftly. As a result, the JTO Phase-I training for the 14 candidates of Chennai circle and 8 candidates of Tamil Nadu circle will take place at Chennai itself, in the RGMTTC. BSNLEU heartily thanks the GM(Rectt.) for taking swift action and helping the candidates.

The Circle Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU, Telangana circle, was held at Hyderabad on 11-11-2022. Com.J.Sampath Rao, AGS & Circle President, presided over. Com.G.Sambasiva Rao, Circle Secretary welcomed everyone and presented the note for discussion in the meeting. Com. J. Sampath Rao, AGS & CP, addressed the meeting and explained the decisions of the Central Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU, held online on 01.11.2022. Thereafter, all the district secretaries and circle office bearers participated in the discussion and reviewed the results of the 9^th Membership Verification. Finally, Com.G.Sambasiva Rao, CS, made the summing up address. Resolutions are passed to strengthen the union by conducting regular trade union classes and also to organise trade union actions on the burning issues of the employees. 

BSNLEU organised a massive “thanks giving cum 9^th MV victory celebration meeting” at Madurai, yesterday the 11-11-2022. Around 300 comrades participated in this meeting from various parts of Tamil Nadu circle. Com.Babu Radhakrishnan, Circle President, presided over and Com.P.Raju, Circle Secretary, welcomed. The meeting was addressed by Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, Com.S.Chellappa, AGS, Com.P. Indira, All India Convenor, BSNLWWCC, Com.R. Rajasekhar, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA, Com.Berlin Kanakaraj, Circle Convenor, BSNLWWCC, Tamil Nadu circle and Com.M.Syed Ethris, TNTCWU. Addressing the meeting, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, heartily thanked the employees who had massively voted for BSNLEU. He also thanked and congratulated the leaders and comrades of Tamil Nadu circle who had tirelessly worked for the victory. The General Secretary bitterly criticised the anti-BSNL and anti-worker policies of the Modi government which is delaying 4G, and is denying settlement of Wage Revision and other burning issues like Stagnation. He also blamed the anti-employee measures taken by the Management, which has ruined the promotional prospects of the young employees and deprived livelihood of thousands of contract workers. He assured to unite the entire unions and associations of BSNL for getting settlement of Wage Revision, Stagnation, New Promotion Policy, etc. The meeting ended with vote of thanks from Com.Aslam Basha, circle treasurer. CHQ heartily thanks the Tamil Nadu circle union for organising this highly inspiring programme.

The meeting has taken important decisions to strengthen the Organisation.

As has already been informed, the 2^nd All India Convention of BSNL Working Women’s Coordination Committee (BSNLWWCC) is being held at Kanyakumari on 10^th December, 2022. BSNLWWCC is the women’s sub-committee of BSNLEU, the Main Recognised Trade Union in BSNL. Accepting the invitation of BSNLEU, Ms. Anita Johri, PGM(SR), has kindly consented to address the All India Convention of BSNLWWCC. In addition to the PGM(SR), Shri Jagdish Prasad, Chief Liaison Officer, Corporate Office, will also address this Convention. The CLO is heading the SCT Cell, which is also the nodal section regarding sexual harassment related cases and monitoring  implementation of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013/ Rules 2013 & circulating DoPT Guidelines in the matter. BSNLEU heartily thanks the Corporate Management for deputing two of it’s senior officers to address the All India Convention of BSNLWWCC. All the circle unions are requested to extend their fullest cooperation to make this All India Convention a grand success.

हाल ही में, कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय ने पत्र जारी किया है जिसमें कहा गया है कि, मान्यता प्राप्त यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों के लिए कार्यालय स्थान केवल सीएचक्यू, सर्कल और बीए स्तरों पर उपलब्ध होगा। BSNLEU की कई जिला यूनियनें बीए स्तर पर काम कर रही हैं। इसलिए, BSNLEU ने मांग की है कि, ओए स्तर पर काम करने वाले जिला संघों को भी कार्यालय स्थान उपलब्ध कराया जाना चाहिए। इस मुद्दे पर पीजीएम (एसआर) और निदेशक (मानव संसाधन) के साथ चर्चा की गई। इन चर्चाओं के आधार पर BSNLEU ने आज पत्र लिखकर मांग की है कि BSNLEU की जिला यूनियनों, जो ओए स्तर पर कार्यकर रही हैं और जिनमें 15 या उससे अधिक सदस्य हैं, को कार्यालय स्थान प्रदान किया जाना चाहिए।
