An encouraging meeting of the AUAB was held online yesterday the 21.06.2021. General Secretaries / leaders of BSNLEU, NFTE, AIGETOA, SNEA, AIBSNLEA, FNTO, SEWA BSNL, BSNL MS, BSNL ATM, TEPU and BSNL OA participated. Non-disbursement of salary on the due date, heavy delay in BSNL’s 4G launching, issues related to BSNL’s revival and other issues of the employees were discussed. It is decided to convene one physical meeting of the AUAB at New Delhi on 01.07.2021 for finalising the charter of demands and programme of action. It is also decided to invite all the applicant unions and associations for that meeting. The circular issued by AUAB on yesterday's meeting is enclosed herewith.

The AUAB meeting held yesterday, severely criticised the BSNL Management for the non-payment of the May salary so far and also failing in it’s duty for disbursing salary to the employees on the due date of every month. After detailed discussions, it is decided to organise lunch hour demonstrations throughout the country on 25.06.2021, demanding immediate disbursement of May 2021 salary, as well as demanding disbursement of salary on the last date of every month. Circle and district secretaries of BSNLEU are requested to coordinate with the other constituents of the AUAB and to organise the programme successfully. 

In continuation of the lunch hour demonstrations to be organised on 25.06.2021, a programme of submitting memorandum is to be organised on 30-06-2021, as the next course of action. Accordingly, memorandum is to be submitted to the CMD BSNL, Chief General Managers and also Heads of the BA/SSA on 30-06-2021. The General Secretaries at the Corporate Office level, the Circle Secretaries at the circle level and the District Secretaries at the BA/SSA level will participate in this programme of submitting memorandum. Demonstrations are to be organised on 30.06.2021, while the memorandums are being submitted.

A meeting of the AUAB is being held online at 17:00 hrs. today. The meeting will be discussing very serious issues being faced by the Company, as well as by the employees, like inordinate delay in BSNL’s 4G launching, non-disbursement of salary on the due date, massive surrendering of broadband and landline connections, government’s move to monetise BSNL’s mobile towers and optic fibre, etc. 

Media reports say that 23 crore Indians have lost their livelihoods due to COVID-19 and have been pushed below the poverty line. This is the fate of the common citizens in India. At the same time, the Indian billionaires continue to deposit huge amounts of black money in the Swiss banks. The Business Standard, one of the leading newspapers of India, has reported on 18.06.2021 that, in 2020 alone, over Rs.20,700 crore has been deposited by Indians in the Swizz banks. It is important to note that, only Rs.6,625 crores was deposited by Indians in Swiss banks in 2019. It is needles to state that, this jump is the result of the pro-corporate and anti-worker policies being adopted by the government. Further, It is also very important to note that, before coming to power, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi promised that, he would bring back  the entire black money stashed in foreign banks. However, nothing has been done by the government to fulfill this poll promise.

Ms. Anita Johri, Sr.GM(SR), welcomed everyone. Shri Arvind Vadnerkar, Director (HR) chaired the meeting. The meeting observed one minute’s silence and paid homage to the BSNL employees to who lost their lives, due to COVID-19. Thereafter, the agenda items were taken up for discussion. Detailed discussion took place on the issues. A brief note on the meeting is enclosed.

India's athletics hero, Milkha Singh, fondly called as “the Flying Sikh”, passed away yesterday, due to post-Covid complications yesterday. He was 91 years old. Only last Sunday, his wife, Nirmal Kaur, passed away due to Covid. Milkha Singh won gold medal in the 400 metres running, in the British Empire and Commonwealth games, held in 1958. Thereafter, Milkha Singh  also won four gold medals in the Asian games. In the 1960 Rome Olympics, Milkha Singh came fourth.  BSNLEU deeply mourns the death of Milkha Singh and pays respectful homage to him. 

निदेशक (एचआर) ने कहा, बीएसएनएल की सेवानिवृत्त स्टाफ़ को शामिल करने की कोई योजना नहीं है।

मीडिया में यह बताया गया है कि कर्मचारियों की कमी को पूरा करने के लिए बीएसएनएल मैनेजमेंट  सेवानिवृत्त स्टाफ़ को शामिल करने के लिए कदम उठा रहा है। सीएचक्यू को इस संबंध में कई कामरेडों से भी प्रश्न प्राप्त हुए हैं । इसलिए, कॉम.पी.अभिमन्यु, जीएस ने आज श्री अरविंद वाडेरकर, डायरेक्टर (एचआर) से बात की और इसके बारे में पूछताछ की। हालांकि डायरेक्टर (एचआर) ने कहा कि मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स सच नहीं हैं। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि बीएसएनएल के पास बीएसएनएल के सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारियों को शामिल करने का कोई प्रस्ताव नहीं है।

रक्षा आयुध निर्माणियों के निजीकरण के खिलाफ रक्षा कामगार महासंघ 19.06.2021 को देशव्यापी "पुतला दहन" आंदोलन का आयोजन करेगा।

मोदी सरकार कोविड-19 की दूसरी लहर से लोगों की सुरक्षा करने में पूरी तरह से विफल रही है। उच्चतम न्यायालय सहित विभिन्न उच्च न्यायालयों ने इस संबंध में विफल रहने के लिए केन्द्र सरकार की कड़ी आलोचना की है। हालांकि मोदी सरकार और सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उपक्रमों के निजीकरण में काफी कुशलता से काम कर रही है। ताजा आयुध निर्माणियों का निजीकरण है। देश में 44 आयुध कारखाने रक्षा मंत्रालय के नियंत्रण में आयुध कारखाना बोर्ड के तहत काम कर रहे हैं। अब आयुध निर्माणियों का बोर्ड खत्म हो जाएगा। इसके स्थान पर कंपनी अधिनियम के तहत सात निगमों का गठन किया जाएगा । आयुध निर्माणियों का निगमीकरण बड़े कारपोरेट को सौंपने के एकमात्र इरादे से किया जा रहा है। चूंकि बहुराष्ट्रीय कंपनियों के पास अत्याधुनिक प्रौद्योगिकियां हैं।  इसलिए निजीकरण के बाद इन आयुध कारखानों को बहुराष्ट्रीय निगमों द्वारा अपने कब्जे में ले लिया जाएगा। रक्षा कामगार महासंघ 19.06.2021 को देशव्यापी "पुतला दहन" आंदोलन का आयोजन कर रहे हैं। बीएसएनएलईयू रक्षा कामगार महासंघों के संघर्ष का पुरजोर समर्थन करता है।
