In the AUAB meeting held online on 21.06.2021, decision was taken to hold a physical meeting of the AUAB at New Delhi on 01.07.2021, to have threadbare discussion of the issues and to chalk-out the programme of action. It was also decided that all the applicant unions and associations of BSNL should be invited for that meeting. Based on the decision, the AUAB has sent ‘by name’ invitation letters to all the applicant unions and associations. The AUAB has received a good response for this initiative. The AUAB will leave no stone unturned, to bring the widest unity of the Executives and Non-Executives in BSNL.
The AUAB organised powerful Lunch Hour demonstrations throughout the country today, condemning the BSNL Management for the non-disbursement of May, 2021 salary till date and also for not disbursing salary on the due date of every month. Executives and Non-Executives responded tremendously to the call of the AUAB and have enthusiastically participated in the lunch hour demonstrations. These demonstrations are a warning signal to the BSNL Management. The employees have told in no uncertain terms that they will not allow the Management to take the employees for granted, in the matter of disbursement of salary.
BSNLEU is continuously taking up the issue of non-declaration of the JTO LICE results in Punjab circle. JTO LICE results for 2015-16, 2016-17 & 2017-18 have not been declared so far, as a result of which hundreds of DR JEs are suffering. In addition to this, 26 DR JEs who have been declared successful for 2014-15 have also not been sent to training. The total wrong handling of the issue, by the CGM Office, Punjab circle, is the root cause of this problem. This issue was once again raised with the Director (HR), in the Formal Meeting held online on 19.06.2021. BSNLEU pointed out that, 26 candidates who have filed court cases, have already withdrawn their cases and only one candidate has not withdrawn her case. Hence, BSNLEU demanded that one post may be kept vacant for that candidate and the results should be declared. The Director (HR) is convinced by the argument of BSNLEU. He directed the Sr.GM(Estt.) to take necessary action on this matter. Yesterday, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, discussed this issue once again with Shri Saurabh Tyagi, Sr.GM(Estt.) and demanded speedy action. The Sr.GM(Estt.) assured that needful action would be taken expeditiously. BSNLEU will follow up this case.
A good number of the DR JEs are suffering, because their requests for transfer under Rule 8, are not being considered by the CGMs. BSNLEU has collected a list of 56 DR JEs, who have completed 5 years of service, but whose transfer requests are not being considered. This list has been submitted to the Director (HR). This issue was discussed in the meeting held with the Director (HR) on 19.06.2021. The Director (HR) directed the Sr.GM(Estt.) to take necessary action on this issue. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, once again discussed this issue with Shri Saurabh Tyagi, Sr.GM(Estt.), yesterday. He assured that, the Corporate Office would issue necessary instruction to the CGMs to take necessary action on this matter.
