"The Flying Sikh", Milkha Singh passed away.

India's athletics hero, Milkha Singh, fondly called as “the Flying Sikh”, passed away yesterday, due to post-Covid complications yesterday. He was 91 years old. Only last Sunday, his wife, Nirmal Kaur, passed away due to Covid. Milkha Singh won gold medal in the 400 metres running, in the British Empire and Commonwealth games, held in 1958. Thereafter, Milkha Singh  also won four gold medals in the Asian games. In the 1960 Rome Olympics, Milkha Singh came fourth.  BSNLEU deeply mourns the death of Milkha Singh and pays respectful homage to him.
