Recently, in Chennai Telephones, an employee (in Tiruvanmiyur) got a heart problem. Immediately he was admitted in Apollo hospital. Expenditure for his treatment was Rs.2 lakh. However, the medical insurance scheme implemented by BSNLEU helped that employee. In this connection, a WhatsApp message, containing details of all the efforts taken by BSNLEU, for implementing the medical insurance scheme, is being circulated in Chennai Telephones circle. Interestingly, Com.Chandrakanth, JE, who prepared this message, is not a member of BSNLEU. However, he has taken the pains to collect all the details from BSNLEU website and has meticulously prepared the message. The efforts taken by BSNLEU, to implement the medical insurance scheme, are explained as below, in the WhatsApp message:-

15.05.2021 – BSNLEU wrote letter to CMD BSNL, demanding implementation of medical insurance scheme.

17.05.2021 – Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, met Director (HR) and demanded implementation of the medical insurance scheme.

25.05.2021 - Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, again met the Director (HR) and GM (Admn.) and demanded implementation of the medical insurance scheme.

04.06.2021 – Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, again discussed with the Management. It was informed that Management has formed an Internal Committee to bargain the premium amount.

16.07.2021 – Again, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, discussed with the Management. It was informed that an all union / association meeting would be held on 22.07.2021 to discuss the issue.

02.08.2021 – BSNLEU writes letter regarding deduction of premium amount, in the backdrop of delay in the payment of salary.

01.05.2022 – Medical Insurance Scheme is implemented in BSNL.

05.05.2022 – First employee in AP circle availed treatment under medical insurance for Rs.2,51,000/-.

23.08.2022 – BSNLEU writes letter to the CMD BSNL, demanding that the Management should pay the premium amount for the employees.

The WhatsApp message explains all the pains taken by BSNLEU for implementing the medical insurance for BSNL employees. The CHQ of BSNLEU heartily congratulates Com.Chandrakant,JE, for bringing out all these details to the notice of the employees.

BSNLEU has continuously been pressurising the Management to hold the JE LICE. As a result of this, the JE LICE for the vacancy year 2020 has been conducted and the results are also declared now. However, in that exam, vacancies were not available in many circles. Hence, eligible candidates did not get the opportunity to appear in the JE LICE in the circles where vacancies did not exist. Under these circumstances, BSNLEU has written letter to the Director(HR) today, demanding to immediately hold the JE LICE for the vacancy year 2021.

BSNLEU has long been demanding that, the Management should conduct the Telecom Technician LICE. Previously, Management told that all the LICEs of the Non-Executives would be conducted after completion of the Restructuring Process. Now, it is already more than a year, since the Restructuring Process is completed. Further, the JE LICE and the JTO LICE have already been conducted. Under these circumstances, BSNLEU has written to the Director(HR) today, demanding to immediately hold the Telecom technician LICE.

साथी पी. अभिमन्यु, महासचिव ने सीआईटीयू के अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन को संबोधित किया।

साथी पी अभिमन्यु, महासचिव जो सीआईटीयू के 17वें अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन में भाग ले रहे हैं, ने कल अपना भाषण दिया।  उन्होंने बताया कि कैसे वर्तमान सरकार ने बीएसएनएल की 4G सेवा के प्रारंभ में बाधाएं पैदा की हैं जैसे कि बीएसएनएल के 49,300 बीटीएस के अपग्रेडेशन के लिए अनुमति से इनकार, 4G उपकरणों की खरीद के लिए जारी बीएसएनएल की निविदा को रद्द करना और निजी दूरसंचार कंपनियाँ के बराबर वैश्विक विक्रेताओं से उपकरणों की खरीद की अनुमति से इनकार करना। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि कैसे आत्मनिर्भर भारत के नाम पर बीएसएनएल को टीसीएस से 4G उपकरण खरीदने के लिए मजबूर किया जा रहा है, जो आज भी अपनी तकनीकी क्षमता साबित करने में असमर्थ है।  महासचिव ने BSNLEU की सरकार की कॉर्पोरेट समर्थक, सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र विरोधी और जनविरोधी नीतियों के खिलाफ लड़ाई में केंद्रीय ट्रेड यूनियनों के साथ हाथ मिलाने की प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त की।

Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, who is attending the 17^th All India Conference of CITU, delivered his address yesterday. He explained how the present government has created roadblocks in BSNL’s 4G launching such as denial of permission for the upgradation of BSNL’s 49,300 BTSs, cancellation of BSNL’s tender floated to procure 4G equipments and denial of permission to procure equipments from global vendors at par with the private telecom companies. He also explained how in the name of Atmanirbar Bharat, BSNL is being forced to procure 4G equipments from the TCS, which is unable to prove it’s technical capability even today. The General Secretary expressed the commitment of BSNLEU to join hands with the Central Trade Unions in fighting against the pro-corporate, anti-public sector and anti-people policies of the government. 

सीआईटीयु  का 17 वां अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन आज बेंगलुरु में शुरू हुआ।

सेंटर ऑफ इंडियन ट्रेड यूनियंस (सीआईटीयु) का 17वां अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन आज बेंगलुरु में शुरू हुआ।  इस सम्मेलन में विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से 1,500 प्रतिनिधि भाग ले रहे हैं।  भारतीय सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के निजीकरण को रोकना, मोदी सरकार के नए श्रम कानूनों के खिलाफ लड़ाई, जो मजदूरों को बंधुआ मजदूर बनाने के लिए हैं, सरकार की कॉर्पोरेट-समर्थक और जन-विरोधी नीतियों के खिलाफ लड़ना और श्रमिक एकता को मजबूत करना आदि इस सम्मेलन में चर्चा किए जाने वाले केंद्रीय मुद्दे होंगे।  वर्ल्ड फेडरेशन ऑफ ट्रेड यूनियन (डब्ल्यूएफटीयू) के महासचिव साथी पाम्बिस किरीटिस इस सम्मेलन को संबोधित कर रहे हैं।  साथी एलीडा ग्वेरा, क्रांतिकारी नेता साथी चे ग्वेरा की बेटी भी इस सम्मेलन को संबोधित कर रहे हैं। साथी पी. अभिमन्यु, महासचिव को इस सम्मेलन में भ्रातृ प्रतिनिधि के रूप में आमंत्रित किया गया है।  वह सभी 5 दिनों में सम्मेलन में भाग लेंगे।

विशेष जेटीओ एलआईसीई के परिणामों की घोषणा।

विशेष जेटीओ एलआईसीई 18.12.2022 को आयोजित किया गया था।  इस परीक्षा के परिणामों की घोषणा के संबंध में साथी पी.  अभिमन्यु, महासचिव ने आज सुश्री समिता लूथरा, जनरल मैनेजर (Rectt) और श्री सौरभ त्यागी, प्रिंसिपल जनरल मैनेजर (Estt) के साथ चर्चा की।  इन अधिकारियों की जानकारी के अनुसार माननीय प्रिंसिपल सीएकेट-CAT, नई दिल्ली द्वारा पीडब्ल्युडी को आरक्षण के संबंध में स्टे जारी किया गया है।  इस मामले में सुनवाई की अगली तारीख 30-01-2023 है.  विशेष जेटीओ एलआईसीई के परिणामों की घोषणा इस सुनवाई के परिणाम पर निर्भर करेगी।

The special JTO LICE was held on 18.12.2022. As regards the declaration of the results of this exam, Com.P. Abhimanyu,GS, discussed with Ms. Samita Luthra, GM (Rectt.) and Shri Saurabh Tyagi, PGM(Estt.) today. As per the information of these officers, a stay has been issued by the Hon’ble Principal CAT, New Delhi, in connection with the reservation to PWD. The next date of hearing in this case is on 30-01-2023. Declaration of the results of the special JTO LICE will depend upon the outcome of this hearing.

The 17th All India Conference of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) started at Bengaluru today. 1,500 delegates are participating in this Conference from various sectors. Stopping the privatisation of the Indian Public Sector, fighting against the new Labour Laws of the Modi government, which are intended to convert the workers into bonded labourers, fighting against the pro-corporate and anti-people policies of the government and strengthening of the unity of the working class, etc., will be the central issues to be discussed in this Conference. Com.Pambis Kyritsis, General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Union (WFTU) is addressing this Conference. Com.Alieda Guevera, the daughter of the revolutionary leader Com. Che Guevera is also addressing this Conference. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, is invited as the fraternal delegate to this Conference. He will be participating in the Conference on all the 5 days.
