FTTH is BSNL’s mainstay service nowadays, which brings in a significant portion of the Company’s revenue. However, of late, the quality of service of BSNL’s FTTH service has deteriorated, resulting in a lot of complaints. BSNLEU has already written a letter to the CMD BSNL on 28.02.2024 and has also discussed the issue with the CMD BSNL on 04.03.2024. In continuation of this, BSNLEU has written one more letter to the CMD BSNL today, based on the inputs received from the Unions’ functionaries in Tamil Nadu circle. BSNLEU has requested the CMD BSNL to take urgent steps to improve the service of FTTH.

A Formal Meeting is held between BSNLEU and the Director (HR) today. A brief note on the discussions is enclosed.

The next meeting of the Wage Revision Committee will be held on 22.03.2024. The Corporate Office has issued notification for this meeting.

Leh, J&K circle is a far flung and hilly area. There is acute shortage of staff in this district. The district union of BSNLEU, Leh, brought to the notice of the CHQ that, JEs are being transferred from Leh, without providing sufficient substitutes, which will increase the workload of the remaining employees. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, spoke to the CGM, J&K circle, regarding this issue and insisted for immediate posting of substitutes. The CGM, J&K circle, replied that steps are already taken for posting substitutes in Leh district and that the same would be completed speedily. The CHQ will monitor this issue and will ensure that the required substitutes are posted soon in Leh district.

विशेष रूप से, इस वर्ष का स्थापना दिवस 16 फरवरी, 2024 को बीएसएली  द्वारा आयोजित वीरतापूर्ण हड़ताल के बाद आया है। इसलिए, सभी सर्कल और जिला यूनियनों से अनुरोध है कि वे सभी कार्यालयों में BSNLEU का लाल झंडा फहराकर स्थापना दिवस को हर्षोल्लास से मनाएं। यह दिन मिठाइयां बांटकर, रक्तदान आदि करके मनाया जा सकता है।  भगत सिंह, सुखदेव और राजगुरु का शहादत दिवस 23 मार्च को पड़ता है। हमारी मातृभूमि की स्वतंत्रता के लिए सर्वोच्च बलिदान देने वाले इन नायकों के बलिदान की उचित तरीके से सराहना की जानी चाहिए। सर्कल और जिला यूनियनों से अनुरोध है कि वे भगत सिंह, सुखदेव और राजगुरु के शहीदी दिवस को मनाने के लिए सेमिनार/विशेष बैठकें आयोजित करें। कार्यक्रम के बाद तस्वीरें और रिपोर्ट सीएचक्यू को भेजें।

The Foundation Day of BSNLEU falls on 22nd March. As usual, this day has to be observed in a spirited manner. Especially, this year's Foundation Day comes after the heroic strike organised by BSNLEU on 16th February, 2024. Hence, all the circle and district unions are requested to observe the Foundation Day jubilantly by hoisting BSNLEU’s Red Flag in all offices. The day may be observed by distribution of sweets, blood donation, etc.  The Martyrdom Day of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru falls on 23rd March. The sacrifices of these heroes who made the supreme sacrifice for the freedom of our motherland should be hailed in a befitting manner. The circle and district unions are requested to organise seminars / special meetings to observe the Martyrdom Day of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. Photos and reports may be sent to the CHQ after the programme is observed. 

असम सर्कल यूनियन ने प्रेरणादायक विस्तारित सर्कल कार्यकारी समिति की बैठक आयोजित की।

BSNLEU का असम सर्कल यूनियन आज जोरहाट में एक प्रेरक विस्तारित सर्कल कार्यकारी समिति की बैठक आयोजित कर रहा है। BSNLEU के जोरहाट जिला यूनियन ने इस बैठक के लिए उत्कृष्ट व्यवस्था की है। BSNLEU और एआईबीडीपीए के महत्वपूर्ण नेता भाग ले रहे हैं। सर्कल अध्यक्ष साथी बिजय ठाकुर ने अध्यक्षीय भाषण दिया। इस बैठक का उद्घाटन महासचिव साथी पी. अभिमन्यु ने किया। महासचिव ने अपने संबोधन में असम के साथियों को 16 फरवरी को सफल हड़ताल आयोजित करने के लिए बधाई दी। उन्होंने विस्तार से बताया कि किन मुद्दों को लेकर BSNLEU ने हड़ताल का आयोजन किया। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने चल रही वेतन संशोधन वार्ता और बीएसएनएल की 4G लॉन्चिंग की स्थिति के बारे में भी जानकारी दी। महासचिव ने विश्लेषण दिया कि कैसे सरकारी नीतियों से बड़े कॉरपोरेट्स को फायदा हो रहा है, जबकि मजदूर वर्ग को परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। बैठक को साथी एम.आर. दास, अखिल भारतीय अध्यक्ष, एआईबीडीपीए,  साथी बिजोया डेका, सर्कल सचिव, साथी ओंकार भौमिक, आयोजन सचिव (सीएचक्यू) और साथी एस.एन. सरमा, सर्कल सचिव, एआईबीडीपीए ने भी संबोधित किया। दोपहर के भोजन के बाद के सत्र में विषय समिति शुरू हो गई है और विचार-विमर्श चल रहा है।

The Assam circle union of BSNLEU is conducting an inspiring Extended Circle Executive Committee meeting at Jorhat today. The Assam district union of BSNLEU has made excellent arrangements for this meeting. Important leaders of BSNLEU and AIBDPA are participating. Com.Bijoy Thakur, Circle President, delivered the presidential address. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, inaugurated this meeting. In his address, the General Secretary congratulated the Assam comrades for organising a successful strike on 16^th February. He explained in detail about the issues on which BSNLEU organised the strike. Further, he gave details regarding the ongoing Wage Revision talks and also about the status of BSNL’s 4G launching. The General Secretary gave an analysis as to how the big corporates are getting benefited from the government policies, while the working class facing miseries. The meeting is also addressed by Com.M.R. Das, All India President, AIBDPA, Com. Bijoy Deka, Circle Secretary, Com.Omkar Bhowmik, Organising Secretary (CHQ) and Com.S.N. Sarma, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA. In the post lunch session, the subjects committee started and deliberations are going on.

Com. Ramesh Chand Sharma is the former Organising Secretary (CHQ) of BSNLEU. He retired from service on superannuation on 29.04.2023. At the time of his retirement itself, Com. Ramesh Chand Sharma had announced a donation of Rs.51,000/- to the CHQ. Due to his illness, there was delay in handing over the amount to the CHQ. Today, Com. Ramesh Chand Sharma, together with Com.Vipin Soni, District Secretary, BSNLEU, Rewari, came to the CHQ and handed over the cheque for Rs.51,000/- to Com.P.Abhimanyu,  GS. The CHQ heartily thanks Com. Ramesh Chand Sharma for this big donation.
