The next meeting of the Joint Committee for Wage Revision is going to be held on 22.03.2024. In this backdrop, BSNLEU has written letter to the Chairman of the Joint Committee for Wage Revision, requesting to furnish the details  regarding payment of Pension Contribution. The information called for is, Pension Contribution for the Non-Executives and Executives as of 01.01.2024 ; anticipated Pension Contribution for 0% and 5% fitment for the Non-Executives based on the pay scales agreed to in the Wage Revision Committee meeting held on 27.07.2018 and for the pay scales offered by the Management in December, 2022. The information regarding expected Pension Contribution expenditure for the Executives, based on the pay scales recommended by the 3rd PRC, are also called for. The GS, BSNLEU, has requested to furnish these information before the next meeting to be held on 22.03.2024, to facilitate internal discussions among the Staff Side members. 

Israel has killed nearly 30,000 Palestinians in Gaza. UN resolutions on ceasefire are being blatantly violated by Israel. The US, which has been supplying arms and ammunitions to Israel all along, has started telling that Israel should stop the attacks now. But, Israel is not listening. In this backdrop, US President, Joe Biden has told that, Israeli prime minister Nethanyahu is actually hurting that country. The following is Joe Biden's statement:-

"In my view, he's hurting Israel more than helping Israel," Biden said, appearing to refer to Netanyahu's military strategy. "It's contrary to what Israel stands for, and I think it's a big mistake. So I want to see a ceasefire. He cannot have 30,000 more Palestinians dead as a consequence of his pursuit of Hamas," the President said, referring to Netanyahu.

वेतन संशोधन - कुछ तथ्य।

वेतन संशोधन वार्ता 05.03.2024 को फिर से शुरू हो गई है।  वेतनमान पर कोई निर्णय नहीं आया है। अगली बैठक 22.03.2024 को होगी। इस समय वेतनमान को लेकर शरारती तत्वों द्वारा विवाद खड़ा किया जा रहा है। 

कुछ साथियों को लग रहा है कि, वेज रिवीजन का निपटारा जल्द हो सकता है, ये बिल्कुल गलत है।  अगर वेतन पुनरीक्षण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर हो भी जाए तो उसे कैबिनेट की मंजूरी लेनी होगी।  वर्तमान में, कैबिनेट के निर्णय के अनुसार, बीएसएनएल वेतन संशोधन के लिए पात्र नहीं है।  इसलिए कैबिनेट को अपना फैसला बदलना होगा।  यह इतना आसान नहीं है।  कुछ ही दिनों में संसद चुनाव की अधिसूचना जारी होने वाली है।  चुनाव ख़त्म होने तक कुछ नहीं होगा।  संसद चुनाव के बाद भी, नई सरकार को बीएसएनएल में वेतन संशोधन की अनुमति देने के लिए एक राजनीतिक निर्णय लेना होगा।  बीएसएनएल जैसे घाटे में चल रहे कई सार्वजनिक उपक्रम हैं, जिनके कर्मचारी भी वेतन संशोधन की मांग कर रहे हैं।  ये सभी मुद्दे हैं।  BSNLEU वेतन संशोधन के समाधान के लिए सर्वोत्तम संभव कदम उठा रहा है। 16-02-2024 को एक दिवसीय हड़ताल का आयोजन कर वेतन पुनरीक्षण का मजबूत दावा किया है।  अत: साथियों से अनुरोध है कि यूनियन पर भरोसा रखें और शरारती तत्वों द्वारा फैलाए जा रहे विवादों व अफवाहों पर ध्यान न दें।

Wage Revision talks have resumed on 05.03.2024. No meeting point has come on pay scales. Next meeting will be on 22.03.2024. At this stage, controversies are being created by mischievous elements regarding pay scales.

Some comrades are under the impression that, the Wage Revision can be settled soon. This is totally wrong. Even if the Wage Revision agreement is signed, it has to get the approval of the Cabinet. Presently, as per the decision of the Cabinet, BSNL is not eligible for Wage Revision. So, Cabinet has to change it's decision. It is not so easy. Notification for Parliament Election is going to be issued within a few days. Nothing will happen till the Election is over. Even after Parliament election, the new government has to take a political decision, for allowing wage revision in BSNL. There are many loss making PSUs like BSNL, whose employees are also demanding wage revision. All these issues are there. BSNLEU is taking the best possible steps for the settlement of wage revision. It has made a strong claim for wage revision by organising one day strike on 16-02-2024. Hence, comrades are requested to have trust on the Union and ignore the controversies and rumours being spread by mischievous elements.

BSNLEU observed the International Women's Day at Shillong today. Women comrades participated in a large number. In today's meeting, the BSNL Working Women's Coordination Committee of NE1 circle is also formed. The following comrades are elected as office of this newly formed Committee. The CHQ heartily congratulates NE1 circle Union, as well as the women comrades of NE1 circle, for successfully forming the BSNLWWCC NE1 circle.

BSNLEU अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस पर क्रांतिकारी शुभकामनाएं देता है।

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस के अवसर पर BSNLEU सभी वर्किंग महिलाओं को अपनी क्रांतिकारी शुभकामनाएं देता है। BSNLEU हर जगह महिलाओं की गरिमा को बनाए रखने के लिए दृढ़ता से लड़ता है।  BSNLEU न केवल बीएसएनएल में महिला कर्मचारियों की गरिमा की रक्षा के लिए लड़ता है, बल्कि देश में महिलाओं पर होने वाले अन्याय के खिलाफ भी लड़ता है।  हाल के दिनों में, BSNLEU ने मणिपुर में महिलाओं पर हो रहे अत्याचारों और प्रसिद्ध महिला पहलवानों के यौन उत्पीड़न के खिलाफ आवाज उठाई है और विरोध प्रदर्शन आयोजित किया है, भले ही सरकार इन अत्याचारों पर मूकदर्शक बनी हुई है। इस अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस पर BSNLEU महिलाओं की समानता के लिए अपनी लड़ाई को अधिक जोश और दृढ़ संकल्प के साथ जारी रखने का संकल्प लेता है।

On the occasion of the International Women's Day, BSNLEU conveys its revolutionary greetings to all the working women. BSNLEU steadfastly fights to uphold the dignity of women every where. BSNLEU not only fights to protect the dignity of women employees in BSNL, but also fights against injustices on women in the country.  In the recent past, BSNLEU has raised it's voice and organised protests against the atrocities on women in Manipur, and also against the sexual harassment of the renowned women wrestlers, even though the government has remained as a mute spectator to these atrocities. On this International Women's Day, BSNLEU resolves to continue it's fight for the equality of women, with increased vigor and determination.

Abhijit Gangopadhyay, iudge of the Calcutta High Court, announced on March 5 that he will likely join the BJP by March 7, ahead of Lok Sabha 2024 polls. Justice Gangopadhyay has been involved in many controversies during his tenure at the Calcutta High Court since May 2018. He defied orders of larger Benches, had run-ins with lawyers and the ruling Trinamool Congress party in West Bengal, had a dispute with a fellow judge at the High Court and also gave an interview to a TV channel on a case he was hearing.
