Maharashtra is one of the most dynamic circle unions of BSNLEU. The Executive Committee meeting of this circle union is held enthusiastically yesterday the 27th March, 2024, at Sawantwadi, Sindhudurg district. Senior leader, Com.Nagesh Kumar Nalawade, Circle President, presided over the meeting and delivered the presidential address. Com.Ganesh Hinge, Circle Secretary, welcomed everyone and presented the report on activities. Com.John Verghese, Dy.GS, addressed the meeting and spoke on the current status of Wage Revision and other issues. Com.Yusuf Husain, Circle Secretary, BSNLCCWF, greeted the meeting. The district secretaries and circle office bearers participated in the deliberations. The meeting has taken important decisions, including that of strengthening the Organisation.

(1) Com.Sujoy Sarkar (West Bengal), Organising Secretary (CHQ).

(3) Com.Devendra Singh Bisht (Uttarakhand), Organising Secretary (CHQ).
The BSNL Corporate Office has endorsed the election of above mentioned comrades and has issued letter to all the CGMs.

आईएलओ रिपोर्ट से पता चला है कि भारत में युवाओं में बेरोज़गारी व्याप्त है। भारत में माध्यमिक या उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त युवाओं में बेरोज़गारी 2000 से 2022 तक दोगुनी हो गई है। यह डेटा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन (आईएलओ) द्वारा जारी भारत रोज़गार रिपोर्ट 2024 में शामिल है। इस रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, वर्ष 2000 में उपर्युक्त श्रेणी के 35.2% युवा बेरोज़गार थे। यह 2022 में बढ़कर 65.7% हो गया है। यहाँ यह याद रखना चाहिए कि उत्तर प्रदेश में 60,244 पुलिस कांस्टेबल रिक्त पदों के लिए 48 लाख उम्मीदवारों ने आवेदन किया था। ये सभी डेटा भारत में व्याप्त बेरोज़गारी के बारे में बहुत कुछ बताते हैं।

The ILO report has revealed that, rampant unemployment is prevailing among youth in India. Unemployment among the youth in India, with secondary or higher education has doubled from the 2000 to 2022. This data is contained in the India Employment Report 2024, released by the International Labour Organisation (ILO). According to this report, 35.2% of youth in the above mentioned category were unemployed in the year 2000. This has increased to 65.7% in 2022. It may be recollected here that, 48 lakh candidates applied for 60,244 police constable vacancies in Uttar Pradesh. All these data speak volumes about the rampant unemployment prevailing in India.

BSNLEU’s Foundation Day was celebrated enthusiastically yesterday the 22.03.2024, in all circles. Flag hoisting is done everywhere. Blood donation camps and other activities are organised in some circles. CHQ congratulates the circle and district unions for celebrating BSNLEU’s Foundation Day enthusiastically.

Today is the martyrdom day of freedom fighters, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. It is on this day that these three heroes laid down their lives for the freedom of our country. BSNLEU pays it's respectful homage to these martyrs and pledges to carry forward their ideals.
The Wage Revision Committee meeting is held yesterday. Com. Animesh Mitra, President, Com. P. Abhimanyu, GS, Com. John Verghese, Dy GS, Com. Suresh Kumar and Com. Manu Mehra, representatives of BSNLEU, participated in the meeting. The data related to Pension Contribution, as demanded by BSNLEU was provided by the Management. Discussions took place on the pay scales, revision of HRA, date of effect of the Wage Revision, etc. Cases of stagnation/ pay loss needs to be provided to the Management before next meeting.
