The CHQ has issued circular no.28, communicating the decisions taken in the Kolkata CEC meeting of BSNLEU, held on 14^th & 15^th May, 2025. The Hindi version of this CHQ circular is enclosed. All circle and district unions are requested to implement the decisions of the CEC meeting.

The Central Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU was held at Kolkata on 14^th & 15^th May, 2025. The unanimous decisions taken in the CEC meeting, after detailed discussions, are communicated to the circle and district unions today, through the CHQ circular no.28. All the circle and district unions are requested to implement the decisions taken in the CEC meeting.

The Joint Platform of the Central Trade Unions held their meeting at New Delhi on 15.05.2025. Taking the abnormal situation prevailing in the country, after the terrorist attack at Pahalgam, the meeting decided to defer the General Strike to 09.07.2025. At the same time, the meeting decided to give call for organising protest demonstrations on 20.05.2025. In accordance with this, BSNLEU calls on our circle and district unions to organise lunch hour protest demonstrations on 20.05.2025 on the following demands:-

1. Opposing the anti-worker and pro-corporate 4 Labour Codes.
2. Immediate settlement of Wage Revision in BSNL – settlement of the burning problem of stagnation.
3. Launching of good quality 4G service by BSNL.
4. Opposing 2^nd VRS.
5. Demanding Review of Restructuring and sanctioning of sufficient posts in the Non-Executive cadres.
6. Opposing mindless outsourcing of BSNL’s works.
7. Implementation of New Promotion Policy for the Non-Executives.
8. Immediately fill-up the 8,906 vacant Non-Executive posts.
9. Implementing Minimum Wage, EPF and ESI for the contract workers.

A memorable programme is organised at Kolkata today, in celebration of the Birth Centenary of our beloved leader, Com.Moni Bose. The meeting took place in the Moulali Yuva Kendra at Kolkata. A large number of comrades together with the family members of Com.Moni Bose, attended this celebration. Com.Sujoy Sarkar, Circle Secretary, West Bengal circle, welcomed everyone. Com.Animesh Mitra, President, BSNLEU, presided over the function. The programme started by the leaders garlanding the photo of Com.Moni Bose. Thereafter, the house stood in silence for a minute and paid respectful homage to Com.Moni Bose. A Souvenir, brought out by the CHQ of BSNLEU, was released in this function. Senior leader, Com.J. Sampath Rao, AGS, released the Souvenir and Com.Susmita Basu, daughter of Com.Moni Bose and Dr. Gautam Basu, son of Com. Moni Bose, received the first copy. Com.A.K. Padmanabhan, Vice President, CITU, Com.J. Sampath Rao, AGS, Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, BSNLEU, Com.V.A.N. Namboodiri, former General Secretary & President, Com.Susmita Basu, Com.Anadi Sahoo, General Secretary, CITU, West Bengal and Dr. Gautam Basu, addressed the meeting.  

The two day Central Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU started enthusiastically at Kolkata today. Venue of the CEC meeting is ICMARD Hall, Ultadanga. The meeting started with the hoisting of the Union Flag by Com.Animesh Mitra, President. It was followed by welcome songs, sung by the West Bengal circle Cultural Troup of BSNLEU. Com.Sujoy Sarkar, CS, BSNLEU, West Bengal, welcomed everyone. Com.A.K. Padmanabhan, Vice President, CITU, delivered the inaugural address. In his speech, Com.AKP explained how the labour rights are being snatched away by the government by introducing 4 Labour Codes. He also spoke on the anti-public sector policies of the government. In the Subjects Committee, Com.Animesh Mitra, President, delivered the presidential address. Thereafter, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, elaborately spoke on the agenda items and also explained about the status of various issues of the Non-Executives. This is followed by deliberations by the circle secretaries and CHQ office bearers. The subjects committee meeting is continuing.

BSNLEU की सीईसी बैठक कल और परसों कोलकाता में हो रही है।

BSNLEU की केंद्रीय कार्यकारी समिति की बैठक कल और परसों कोलकाता में हो रही है। पिछली सीईसी बैठक के बाद यह पहली  वैयक्तिक सीईसी बैठक है, जो सितंबर, 2024 में कोलकाता में ही आयोजित की गई थी। बैठक में बीएसएनएल में हुए सभी महत्वपूर्ण विकासों और कर्मचारियों द्वारा सामना किए जा रहे मुद्दों का जायजा लेने की उम्मीद है। सीआईटीयू के उपाध्यक्ष साथी ए.के. पद्मनाभन इस सीईसी बैठक का उद्घाटन करेंगे। पश्चिम बंगाल सर्किल यूनियन इस सीईसी बैठक की मेजबानी कर रही है और सीईसी बैठक को सफल बनाने के लिए सर्वोत्तम प्रयास कर रही है।

BSNLEU 15.05.2025 को कोलकाता में साथी मोनी बोस की जन्म शताब्दी मना रहा है।

BSNLEU 15.05.2025 को कोलकाता में अपने प्रिय नेता साथी  मोनी बोस की जन्म शताब्दी मना रहा है। साथी मोनी बोस 24 से 27 अक्टूबर, 1991 तक आयोजित भोपाल अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन में ई-3 यूनियन के महासचिव चुने गए थे। उन्होंने ई-3 यूनियन के लंबे समय से महासचिव रहे साथी ओ.पी. गुप्ता को हराया था। हालांकि, दूरसंचार विभाग ने  साथी मोनी बोस को इस आधार पर मान्यता नहीं दी कि वे तत्कालीन पीएंडटी विभाग के बर्खास्त कर्मचारी थे। साथी वी.ए.एन. नंबूदरी के साथ मिलकर साथी मोनी बोस ने लगातार विभिन्न सर्किल का दौरा किया और यूनियन को संगठित किया। अप्रैल 1994 में तिरुवनंतपुरम में आयोजित ई-3 यूनियन के अगले अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन में उन्हें अध्यक्ष के रूप में चुना गया। वर्ष 2002 में जब BSNLEU का गठन हुआ, तो साथी मोनी बोस को यूनियन का संरक्षक चुना गया। वे दिग्गज ट्रेड यूनियन नेता साथी  केजी बोस के छोटे भाई हैं। साथी मोनी बोस की कड़ी मेहनत, बलिदान और योगदान ने दूरसंचार क्षेत्र में एक शक्तिशाली मजदूर वर्ग उन्मुख ट्रेड यूनियन आंदोलन के निर्माण में बहुत मदद की है। BSNLEU का सीएचक्यू एक स्मारिका जारी कर रहा है, जिसमें प्रमुख ट्रेड यूनियन नेताओं द्वारा लिखे गए लेख हैं। स्मारिका का विमोचन 15.05.2025 को जयंती समारोह के समय किया जाएगा।

कर्नाटक सर्किल ने क्यूबा रिलीफ फंड के रूप में 50,501/- रुपये एकत्र किए हैं।

BSNLEU के सीएचक्यू के आह्वान पर, BSNLEU के सर्किल यूनियन क्यूबा रिलीफ फंड एकत्र कर रहे हैं। कर्नाटक सर्किल यूनियन ने 50,501/- रुपये एकत्र किए हैं। यह राशि कर्नाटक सर्किल में BSNLEU के सदस्यों से एकत्र की गई है। सीएचक्यू साथी एच.वी. सुदर्शन, सर्किल सचिव और साथी  इरफान पाशा, कार्यवाहक सर्किल सचिव और कोषाध्यक्ष (सीएचक्यू), साथी सी.के. गुंडन्ना, सर्किल अध्यक्ष और सहायक महासचिव, साथ ही कर्नाटक सर्किल के सभी जिला सचिवों को कर्मचारियों से क्यूबा रिलीफ फंड एकत्र करने के लिए गंभीर प्रयास करने के लिए हार्दिक बधाई देता है।

The Central Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU is being at Kolkata tomorrow and the day after. This is the first physical CEC meeting after the last CEC meeting, also conducted in Kolkata in September, 2024. The meeting is expected to take stock of all the important developments that have taken place in BSNL and also the issues being faced by the employees. Com.A.K. Padmanabhan, Vice President, CITU, will inaugurate this CEC meeting. The West Bengal circle union is hosting this CEC meeting and is taking best efforts to make the CEC meeting a success.
