बीएसएनएल के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक (सीएमडी) के रूप में श्री ए. रॉबर्ट जे. रवि का कार्यकाल 3 महीने और बढ़ा।

दूरसंचार विभाग में उप महानिदेशक (मानक, अनुसंधान एवं नवाचार) श्री ए. रॉबर्ट जे. रवि वर्तमान में बीएसएनएल के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक का अतिरिक्त प्रभार संभाल रहे हैं। मीडिया रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, दूरसंचार विभाग ने आज एक अधिसूचना जारी कर श्री ए. रॉबर्ट जे. रवि का बीएसएनएल के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में कार्यकाल 15 अक्टूबर, 2025 से 14 जनवरी, 2026 तक, या नियमित नियुक्ति होने तक, जो भी पहले हो, 3 महीने के लिए बढ़ा दिया है। अधिसूचना में कहा गया है कि श्री ए. रॉबर्ट जे. रवि को इस अवधि के दौरान कोई अतिरिक्त पारिश्रमिक नहीं मिलेगा।

BSNL has added 14 lakh new mobile connections in August, 2025. Whereas, Airtel has given only 5 lakh new mobile connections in the same month. However, Reliance Jio leads the race, by giving 19 lakh new mobile connections in August, 2025. Media reports say that BSNL has made this achievement with it’s cheaper plans and also expanded 4G coverage.

The circle conference of BSNLEU, UP(West) circle, was held in Muradnagar, Ghaziabad, on 11.10.2025. The Conference started with the hoisting of the Union Flag by Com.Animesh Mitra, General Secretary. Com.Ansar Ali, Circle President, presided over the Conference. Delegates from 15 districts participated in this Conference. Com.Animesh Mitra, GS, delivered the inaugural address and spoke in detail explaining the Wage Revision Agreement, BSNL’s revival and other issues of the Non-Executive employees. In the subjects committee, the delegates appreciated the CHQ of BSNLEU for it’s prominent role played in signing the Wage Revision Agreement. Com.Puneet Kumar, Circle Secretary, delivered the summing up address. Com.Ashwin Kumar, AGS, BSNLEU and Com.Naresh Pal, CS, AIBDPA, also addressed the Conference. This Conference has resolved to make BSNLEU stronger in UP(West) circle.

Shri A. Robert J. Ravi, DDG (Standards, Research & Innovation), in the DoT, is presently holding the additional charge as the CMD BSNL. As per media reports, the DoT has issued notification today, extending the tenure of Shri A. Robert J. Ravi, as the CMD BSNL for another 3 months from 15^th October, 2025 to 14^th January, 2026, or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier. The notification says that Shri A. Robert J. Ravi will not receive any additional remuneration during this period.

Com.Animesh Mitra, GS and Com.P.Abhimanyu, VP, met the CMD BSNL today the 15.10.2025 and discussed the following issues:-

1. Wage Revision.

The leaders heartily thanked the CMD BSNL for enabling the smooth signing of the Wage Revision Agreement on 08.10.2025. They acknowledged the positive role of the CMD BSNL, who helped in overcoming the adverse impacts of the short pay scales and also in ensuring fitment at par with the Executives. The leaders requested the CMD BSNL to take early steps for getting the DoT’s approval, for the Wage Settlement. The CMD BSNL informed that, action is already being taken in the Corporate Office on this matter and assured that, soon the file would be taken for the approval of the DoT.

2. Conducting of the 10^th Membership Verification.

The leaders informed the CMD BSNL that, conducting of the 10^th Membership Verification in BSNL has been delayed. They demanded that, the Management should take immediate steps for conducting the 10^th Membership Verification. Further, they also requested that, the recognition period of BSNLEU and NFTE should be extended till the Membership Verification is conducted. Otherwise, there will be a void in BSNL in representing the grievances of the Non-Executives with the Management. The CMD BSNL gave a patient hearing and assured that, needful action would be taken immediately.

3. Upgradation of the JE pay scale.

The leaders told the CMD BSNL that, the DoT has introduced the Recruitment Rules for the JE cadre, wherein 35,400 -1,12,400 pay scale is given for the JEs. BSNLEU has already written letter to the CMD BSNL on 17.07.2025, demanding that 35,400 -1,12,400 pay scale should be implemented for the JE cadre in BSNL also. They further pointed out that, the Wage Revision Committee has no power to upgrade the pay scale of any cadre and that, only the BSNL Board of Directors can do the upgradation. The leaders also justified implementation of 35,400 -1,12,400 pay scale for the JEs in BSNL, by explaining to the CMD BSNL, about the vital role being played by the JEs in BSNL in maintaining the networks and installations. The leaders demanded that, the BSNL Management should take early steps for the amendment of the Recruitment Rules of JEs, so that 35,400 -1,12,400 pay scale can be implemented for the JEs in BSNL. The CMD BSNL listened to the arguments carefully and assured that this issue would be looked into seriously.  

4. Granting of Festival Advance.

BSNLEU has already demanded one year ago that, the employees should be granted Festival Advance. At that time, the CMD BSNL assured that, the Management would take necessary step after March, 2025. Again, BSNLEU has written letter to the CMD BSNL, demanding that the employees should be paid Festival Advance for Deepavali. In today’s meeting, the leaders strongly demanded that, Festival Advance should be granted for Deepavali. The CMD BSNL gave a positive response and assured that, needful action would be taken.  

The Wage Revision Agreement is signed on 08.10.2025. The CHQ of BSNLEU has given the call that, special meetings should be conducted in all districts from 13.10.2025 to 18.10.2025 and the various aspects of the Wage Revision Agreement should be explained in detail to the employees. As per this call, very good meetings are being organised in various circles. On 10.10.2025, a good meeting was organised at Bengaluru, addressed by Com.H.V. Sudharshan, AGS & CS, Com.Irfan Pasha, Treasurer (CHQ) and Com.C.K. Gundanna, CP. A similar meeting is organised at CGM Office, Mumbai, on 10.10.2025, addressed by Com. Ganesh Hinge, Dy.GS. On 13.10.2025, a special meeting was held at Mysuru, addressed by Com.H.V. Sudharshan, AGS & CS and Com.C.K. Gundanna, CP. A good meeting is organised at Main Telephone Exchange, Ranchi, today the 14.10.2025. Com.Vijay Paswan, Circle Secretary, addressed the meeting.

The 9^th Membership Verification in BSNL was held on 12.10.2022. The recognition period is 3 years. So far, the Management has not taken any action to conduct the 10^th Membership Verification. This matter is already discussed with the Director (HR) on 09.10.2025. Today, BSNLEU has written a letter to the Director (HR), requesting to take early action for conducting the 10^th Membership Verification expeditiously.

For more than a year, BSNLEU is raising the demand that, payment of Festival Advance should be restored. The CMD BSNL has responded positively and has assured that, sanctioning of Festival Advance would be restored at the earliest. However, so far, sanctioning of Festival Advance is not being done. Deepawali is to be celebrated on 20^th October, 2025. Incidentally, BSNL has also celebrated it’s Silver Jubilee in this month of October. Today, BSNLEU has written letter to the CMD BSNL, suggesting that it would be a good gesture from the Management to restore payment of Festival Advance in this month and sanction the advance to the employees for Deepawali.

अखिल भारतीय केंद्र ने BSNLEU और एनएफटीई द्वारा 08.10.2025 को हस्ताक्षरित वेतन संशोधन समझौते की व्याख्या करने के उद्देश्य से 13 से 18 अक्टूबर, 2025 तक सभी जिलों में विशेष बैठकें आयोजित करने का आह्वान किया है। हमारे मुख्यालय, सर्कल और जिला स्तरीय नेताओं को वेतन संशोधन समझौते की सभी प्रासंगिक जानकारियों के साथ व्याख्या करने में सक्षम बनाने के लिए मुख्यालय ने एक विस्तृत नोट तैयार किया है, जो नीचे संलग्न है। मुख्यालय सभी सर्कल और जिला यूनियनों से अनुरोध करता है कि वे सभी जिलों में अनिवार्य रूप से विशेष बैठकें आयोजित करें और हमारे सभी सदस्यों को वेतन संशोधन समझौते की विस्तृत जानकारी दें, जैसा कि नीचे दिए गए नोट में बताया गया है।
