BSNLEU leaders meet the CMD BSNL..
Com.Animesh Mitra, GS and Com.P.Abhimanyu, VP, met the CMD BSNL today the 15.10.2025 and discussed the following issues:-
- Wage Revision.
The leaders heartily thanked the CMD BSNL for enabling the smooth signing of the Wage Revision Agreement on 08.10.2025. They acknowledged the positive role of the CMD BSNL, who helped in overcoming the adverse impacts of the short pay scales and also in ensuring fitment at par with the Executives. The leaders requested the CMD BSNL to take early steps for getting the DoT’s approval, for the Wage Settlement. The CMD BSNL informed that, action is already being taken in the Corporate Office on this matter and assured that, soon the file would be taken for the approval of the DoT.
- Conducting of the 10th Membership Verification.
The leaders informed the CMD BSNL that, conducting of the 10th Membership Verification in BSNL has been delayed. They demanded that, the Management should take immediate steps for conducting the 10th Membership Verification. Further, they also requested that, the recognition period of BSNLEU and NFTE should be extended till the Membership Verification is conducted. Otherwise, there will be a void in BSNL in representing the grievances of the Non-Executives with the Management. The CMD BSNL gave a patient hearing and assured that, needful action would be taken immediately.
- Upgradation of the JE pay scale.
The leaders told the CMD BSNL that, the DoT has introduced the Recruitment Rules for the JE cadre, wherein 35,400 -1,12,400 pay scale is given for the JEs. BSNLEU has already written letter to the CMD BSNL on 17.07.2025, demanding that 35,400 -1,12,400 pay scale should be implemented for the JE cadre in BSNL also. They further pointed out that, the Wage Revision Committee has no power to upgrade the pay scale of any cadre and that, only the BSNL Board of Directors can do the upgradation. The leaders also justified implementation of 35,400 -1,12,400 pay scale for the JEs in BSNL, by explaining to the CMD BSNL, about the vital role being played by the JEs in BSNL in maintaining the networks and installations. The leaders demanded that, the BSNL Management should take early steps for the amendment of the Recruitment Rules of JEs, so that 35,400 -1,12,400 pay scale can be implemented for the JEs in BSNL. The CMD BSNL listened to the arguments carefully and assured that this issue would be looked into seriously.
- Granting of Festival Advance.
BSNLEU has already demanded one year ago that, the employees should be granted Festival Advance. At that time, the CMD BSNL assured that, the Management would take necessary step after March, 2025. Again, BSNLEU has written letter to the CMD BSNL, demanding that the employees should be paid Festival Advance for Deepavali. In today’s meeting, the leaders strongly demanded that, Festival Advance should be granted for Deepavali. The CMD BSNL gave a positive response and assured that, needful action would be taken.
