Lata Mangeshkar, legendary Bollywood singer and affectionately called as the Indian Nightingale, passed away yesterday. She was 92 years old. She was affected with Covid 19 and was treated in Breach Candy Hospital at Mumbai. Lata Mangeshkar has sung more than 30,000 songs and is conferred with the highest civilian award of Bharat Ratna. BSNLEU pays it’s respectful homage to the Indian Nightingale.

BSNLEU organised a very successful Extended Central Executive Committee meeting yesterday the 06-02-2022. This online meeting was organised to discuss the ways and means to successfully organise the General Strike, to be held on 28th and 29th March, 2022. Totally, 236 comrades - Circle Secretaries, Central Office bearers and District Secretaries - enthusiastically participated in this meeting. The meeting observed a minute’s silence and paid homage to the departed comrades.  Com.Animesh Mitra, President, delivered the presidential address. Com. P Abhimanyu, GS, made a presentation on the necessity to organise the General Strike successfully. Thereafter, 49 comrades participated in the deliberations. All the comrades welcomed the decision of the Union to join the General Strike. Each and every speaker expressed their resolve to make the strike successful and gave many valuable suggestions for the same. Finally, the General Secretary summed up the discussions. The meeting unanimously decided to effectively organise the following programmes.

1. To approach each and every employee and convince them for participating in the General Strike.
2. Gate meetings on 08-02-2022.
3. Signature campaign for one week from 10-02-2022, against the National Monetisation Pipeline. This campaign should also be utilised to organise the General Strike. 
4. Facebook Live programme in Hindi on 11-02-2022.
5. Facebook Live programme in English on 12-02-2022.
6. To successfully complete the collection of Rs.5/ each from members and well wishers, as donation for the All India Agricultural Workers Union.

दिनांक 08.02.2022 को गेट मीटिंग का आयोजन करें : सामान्य हड़ताल के लिए कर्मचारियों को लामबंद करें।

बीएसएनएलईयू के अखिल भारतीय केंद्र ने सर्कल और जिला यूनियनों से 28 और 29 मार्च, 2022 को होने वाली सामान्य हड़ताल के लिए कर्मचारियों को जुटाने के लिए दिनांक 08.02.2022 को गेट मीटिंग आयोजित करने का आह्वान किया है। केन्द्रीय ट्रेड यूनियनों की मांगों के साथ-साथ बीएसएनएलईयू की आम हड़ताल की मांगों को गेट बैठकों में स्पष्ट किया जाना चाहिए। 

The All India Centre of BSNLEU has called on the circle and district unions to organise gate meetings on 08.02.2022, for mobilising the employees for the General Strike to be held on 28^th and 29^th March, 2022. The demands of the Central Trade Unions, as well as the demands of BSNLEU, for the General Strike should be explained in the gate meetings.

BSNLEU की विस्तारित केंद्रीय कार्यकारी समिति-Extended Central Executive Committee की ऑनलाइन बैठक कल हो रही है।

बीएसएनएलईयू की विस्तारित केंद्रीय कार्यकारी समिति बैठक कल ऑनलाइन हो रही है।  दोपहर दो बजे शुरू होने वाली इस बैठक की अध्यक्षता साथी अनिमेष मित्रा करेंगे। इस बैठक में सर्कल सचिवों और सीएचक्यू पदाधिकारियों के अलावा सभी जिला सचिव भी शामिल होंगे। 28 और 29 मार्च, 2022 को आयोजित होने वाली आगामी आम हड़ताल को सफलतापूर्वक आयोजित करने के तरीकों और साधनों पर इस बैठक में मुख्य रूप से चर्चा की जाएगी।

The Extended Central Executive Committee  of BSNLEU is meeting online tomorrow.  Com.Animesh Mitra, President, will preside over the meeting, which will start at 2 pm. Apart from the circle secretaries and CHQ office bearers, all the district secretaries will also attend this meeting. Ways and means to successfully organise the forthcoming General Strike, to be held on 28th and 29th March, 2022, will be mainly discussed in this meeting.

DPE has already issued letter for increase of IDA w.e.f. 01.01.2022. The new rate of IDA will be 184.1%. Today, the BSNL Corporate Office has issued letter to implement the IDA increase w.e.f. 01.01.2022.

The 10^th All India Conference of BSNLEU will be held on 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th April, 2022, at Guwahati. In view of this, the pre-All India Conference Central Executive Committee meeting will be held on 01^st April, 2022, at Guwahati. The Circle Secretaries and CHQ office bearers are requested to kindly make note of this and to book their journey tickets accordingly. 

The Executive Committee meeting of the Trade Union International (TUI) of Transports, Ports, Fisheries and Communications was held online on 15^th December, 2021. Com.P. Abhimanyu, Convenor of the Communication Sector attended the meeting and took part in the deliberations. Many important issues were discussed and decisions were taken. There is some delay in publishing the decisions, which are released now. The decisions of the meeting are enclosed.
