The AUAB has already decided to organise countrywide dharna programme on 09-06-2022, demanding settlement of the long-pending / burning issues of the Executives and Non-Executives. In view of issuing 14 days’ notice for this dharna programme, the AUAB has changed the date of the dharna programme. Accordingly, the dharna programme will take place on 21-06-2022.  All the circle and district secretaries of BSNLEU are requested to kindly make note of this change in the date of the dharna programme and to take all out efforts to make the programme successful.

An important Central Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU is held online today. 45 CEC members participated in this meeting Com. Animesh Mitra, President, presided over. A minute’s silence was observed to pay homage to the departed comrades. Com.Abhimanyu, General Secretary presented the note for discussion in the CEC meeting. Thereafter, all the CEC members participated in the deliberations. Rich contributions are made by the CEC members, for taking appropriate decisions on the issues. The meeting started sharply at 10 am and got concluded at 17:30 hours. The following decisions were unanimously taken in the CEC meeting.

1. It is decided to observe the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence by organising seminars and special meetings to highlight the role and sacrifices of the Indian working-class in the freedom struggle.

2. To continue with the campaign against the National Monetisation Pipeline / privatisation of the public sector. The actual programme will be decided in the CoC meeting to be held on 04-06-2022.

3. To successfully implement all the calls being given by the AUAB, for the settlement of Wage Revision and other issues of the Executives and Non-executives.

4. To hold an extended Central Executive Committee meeting to plan the campaign for the 9th Membership Verification.

5. To hold the All India convention of BSNL Working Women’s Coordination Committee in Maharashtra circle.

The meeting has also passed resolutions on the following important issues of the employees:-

1. Immediate lifting the ban imposed on Compassionate Ground Appointments, to provide employment to the bereaved families of the employees who died due to COVID-19 and also the employees who died in accidents while on duty.

2. Immediate holding of the JTO LICE and other LICEs of the Non-Executives, with the posts that existed prior to 31-01-2020.

3. Action on the sexual harassment case of Ludhiana, without further delay.

4. Declaration of the results of JTO LICE of Punjab Circle without further delay.

BSNLEU की पहली महिला सर्कल सचिव साथी के.रमा देवी सेवानिवृत्ति पर बीएसएनएल से सेवानिवृत्त हो रही हैं।

सर्किल सचिव और BSNLEU की उपाध्यक्ष (CHQ) साथी के.रमा देवी 35 साल की सेवा पूरी करने के बाद कल सेवानिवृत्ति पर सेवानिवृत्त हो गईं। उन्होंने 1987 में DOT में सेवा में प्रवेश किया। शुरू से ही, साथी के.रमा देवी ने ट्रेड यूनियन गतिविधियों में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया। वह 2014 में कृष्णा एसएसए के सहायक जिला सचिव के रूप में चुनी गई थीं। फरवरी - 2016 में उन्हें आंध्र प्रदेश सर्कल यूनियन के सर्कल उपाध्यक्ष के रूप में चुना गया था। 2017 में साथी के.रमा देवी को बीएसएनएल वर्किंग महिला समन्वय समिति के सदस्य के रूप में चुना गया था। 2018 में आयोजित मैसूरु अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन में साथी के.रमा देवी को उपाध्यक्ष (सीएचक्यू) के रूप में चुना गया। आखिरकार, 2021 में, साथी के.रमा देवी को आंध्र प्रदेश सर्कल के सर्कल सचिव के रूप में चुना गया। उन्हें BSNLEU के सर्कल सचिव के रूप में चुने जाने वाली पहली महिला साथी होने का गौरव प्राप्त है। उन्होंने साबित कर दिया है कि एक महिला साथी प्रभावी ढंग से BSNLEU के सर्कल सचिव के रूप में कार्य कर सकती है। वह एक उत्कृष्ट कार्यकर्ता हैं और उन्हें वर्ष 2010 में विशिष्ट संचार सेवा पढ़क पुरस्कार मिला है। सीएचक्यू दिल से साथी के.रमा देवी को बधाई देता है और उन्हें एक खुशहाल, स्वस्थ और सक्रिय सेवानिवृत्त जीवन की कामना करता है।

Com.K. Rama Devi, circle secretary, as well as the vice-president (CHQ) of BSNLEU, retired on superannuation yesterday, after completing 35 years of service. She entered the service in the DOT in 1987. Right from the beginning, Com.K.Rama Devi actively Participated in trade union activities. She got elected as the assistant district secretary of Krishna SSA in 2014. In February 2016, she was elected as the circle vice -president of Andhra Pradesh circle union. In 2017, Com.K.Rama Devi was elected as a member of the BSNL Working Women’s Coordination Committee. In the Mysuru All India Conference, held in 2018, Com.K.Rama Devi got elected as the vice –president (CHQ). Finally, in 2021, Com.K.Rama Devi was elected as the circle secretary of Andhra Pradesh circle. She has the distinction of being the first woman comrade, to get elected as the circle secretary of BSNLEU. She has proved that a woman comrade can effectively function as the circle secretary of BSNLEU. She is an excellent worker and has got the Visista Sanchar Seva Padhak Award in the year 2010. The CHQ heartily congratulates Com.K.Rama Devi and wish her a happy, healthy and active retired

वर्ल्ड फेडरेशन ऑफ ट्रेड यूनियन्स (WFTU) ने काम के घंटों में कमी की मांग की है।

WFTU संघर्षरत ट्रेड यूनियनों का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संघ है। WFTU लगातार दुनिया भर के श्रमिकों के लिए बेहतर काम करने की स्थिति के लिए प्रयास कर रहा है। यह बेहतर वेतन और काम के घंटों में कमी के लिए लड़ रहा है। हाल ही में WFTU ने 6-7 और 8 मई, 2022 को अपनी 18 वीं कांग्रेस आयोजित की थी। जहां तक काम के घंटों का संबंध है WFTU निम्नलिखित मांग करता है :-

1. काम के घंटों को प्रति सप्ताह 35 घंटे तक तुरंत कम किया जाना चाहिए, प्रति सप्ताह 5 काम के दिवसों के साथ।
2. इसके अलावा, काम के घंटों को उत्तरोत्तर कम किया जाना चाहिए और इसे प्रति दिन 7 घंटे तक कम किया जाना चाहिए ।प्रति सप्ताह 4 काम के दिवसों के साथ।

BSNLEU WFTU से संबद्ध है। यह पहले ही सूचित किया गया है कि BSNLEU के महासचिव साथी पी. अभिमन्यु ने प्रतिनिधि के रूप में WFTU की इस 18 वीं कांग्रेस में भाग लिया था ।

The WFTU is the International Federation of the militant trade unions. The WFTU is continuously fighting for better working conditions for the workers around the world. It is fighting for better wages and reduction in the working hours. Recently, the WFTU conducted it’s 18^th Congress on 6^th, 7^th and 8^th May, 2022. As regards the working hours, The WFTU demands the following:-

1. Immediately, the working hours should be reduced to 35 hours per week, with 5 working days per week.
2. Further, the working hours should be reduced progressively and it should be brought down to 7 hours per day, with 4 working days per week.

BSNLEU is affiliated to the WFTU. It is already reported that, Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, BSNLEU, attended this 18th Congress of the WFTU as a delegate.
