Com.K.Rama Devi, the first woman circle secretary of BSNLEU, retires from BSNL on superannuation,

 

 

Com.K. Rama Devi, circle secretary, as well as the vice-president (CHQ) of BSNLEU, retired on superannuation yesterday, after completing 35 years of service. She entered the service in the DOT in 1987. Right from the beginning, Com.K.Rama Devi actively Participated in trade union activities. She got elected as the assistant district secretary of Krishna SSA in 2014. In February 2016, she was elected as the circle vice -president of Andhra Pradesh circle union. In 2017, Com.K.Rama Devi was elected as a member of the BSNL Working Women’s Coordination Committee. In the Mysuru All India Conference, held in 2018, Com.K.Rama Devi got elected as the vice –president (CHQ). Finally, in 2021, Com.K.Rama Devi was elected as the circle secretary of Andhra Pradesh circle. She has the distinction of being the first woman comrade, to get elected as the circle secretary of BSNLEU. She has proved that a woman comrade can effectively function as the circle secretary of BSNLEU. She is an excellent worker and has got the Visista Sanchar Seva Padhak Award in the year 2010.
