As per the guidelines of the CHQ of BSNLEU, circle level committee of BSNLWWCC was formed in Telangana circle with the 9 members of women. The committee unanimously decided to hold the circle level meeting of women on 8^th March, 2023 and also implement all the decisions taken in the All India convention of BSNLWWCC, held on 10^th December 2022 at Kanyakumari. The CHQ heartily congratulates the Telengana circle union for promptly implementing the decision of the All India Centre.

The All India Centre has decided to hold an online meeting of the Central Executive Committee on 07.01.2023. However, due to the illness of the General Secretary and also due to other unavoidable reasons, the All India Centre has decided to postpone this meeting. Next date of the meeting will be announced shortly.

As per the Consumer Price Index numbers released by the Labour Bureau, IDA will increase by 5.3%, w.e.f 01-01-2023.  As of now, employees are getting 195.8% IDA. With the increase of 5.3% IDA, the total IDA will be 201.1% w.e.f 01-01-2023 (there is a possibility for 201.2% also, due to round off). This IDA increase will become payable after necessary order is issued by the DPE.

The CHQ of BSNLEU called on the District Unions to organise District General Body meetings on 29.12.2022 and to explain to the employees about the developments related to the Wage Negotiations. This call has been implemented in many circles. The CHQ heartily congratulates all the circle and district unions which have observed this programme. 

बीएसएनएल और यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के बीच समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए । 

बीएसएनएल कर्मचारियों द्वारा विभिन्न ऋणों का लाभ उठाने के उद्देश्य से बीएसएनएल द्वारा यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया और केनरा बैंक के साथ हस्ताक्षरित समझौता ज्ञापन बहुत पहले समाप्त हो गए थे।  तब से BSNLEU एमओयू को नवीनीकृत करने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास कर रहा है।  हालांकि, यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया और केनरा बैंक दोनों ने बीएसएनएल के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर करने में दिलचस्पी नहीं दिखाई।  यह इस तथ्य के कारण हो सकता है कि अतीत में बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन द्वारा कर्मचारियों के वेतन से काटी गई ईएमआई की राशि बैंकों को तुरंत नहीं भेजी गई थी।  इसलिए, यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया और केनरा बैंक दोनों बीएसएनएल के साथ किसी भी समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर करने के लिए अनिच्छुक थे।  इन परिस्थितियों में, यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया और केनरा बैंक के शीर्ष प्रबंधन के साथ इस मुद्दे को उठाने के लिए BSNLEU ने सीएमडी, बीएसएनएल को उनके व्यक्तिगत हस्तक्षेप की मांग करते हुए पत्र लिखा।  तदनुसार सीएमडी  बीएसएनएल ने हस्तक्षेप किया है ।  इसके फलस्वरूप बीएसएनएल और यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के बीच हुए एमओयू का आज दिनांक 29-12-2022 को नवीनीकरण किया गया है।  इस एमओयू की वैधता एक साल के लिए होगी।

Pele, the king of football has died at the age 82. He was an extraordinary character and unique player. 3 times World Cup Winner, credited with scoring 1281 goals in 1363 appearances during his 21 years career including 77 goals in 92 matches for his Country, Brazil. The only player to win the World Cup 3 times, lifting the trophy in 1958, 1962 & 1970. Pele was named FIFA's player of the century in year 2000. He made football the most beautiful game and truly international. BSNLEU pays it’s respectful homage to Pele.

The MoUs signed by BSNL, with the Union Bank of India and Canara bank, for the purpose of availing various loans by BSNL employees, expired long back. Since then, BSNLEU has been taking continuous efforts to get the MoUs renewed. However, both the Union Bank of India and the Canara bank were not interested in signing the MoU with BSNL. This might be due to the fact that, in the past, the EMI amount deducted from the salaries of the employees, was not promptly remitted to the banks, by the BSNL Management. Hence, both the Union Bank of India and the Canara bank were reluctant to sign any MoU with BSNL. Under these circumstances, BSNLEU wrote to the CMD BSNL soliciting his personal intervention, for taking up the issue with the top Management of the Union Bank of India and the Canara bank. Accordingly the CMD BSNL has made the intervention. Consequent to this, the MoU between BSNL and the Union Bank of India, has been renewed today the 29-12-2022. The validity of this MoU will be for one year. 

Heeraben, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, passed away early morning today. She was 99. Heeraben lived with PM Modi's younger brother, Pankaj Modi, at Raysan village near Gandhinagar. “My mother used to wash utensils at a few houses to help meet the household expenses”, the Prime Minister wrote, recounting the early days of his family’s hardships. BSNLEU offers it’s condolences to the Prime Minister and other members of his family.
