We have come to know that the Management has initiated action for the merger of West Bengal circle with Kolkata circle and Tamil Nadu circle with Chennai circle. The Management has formed a committee consisting of CGM Kolkata, CGM Chennai, CGM Tamil Nadu and four senior officers from the Corporate Office. The Corporate Office letter, intimating formation of this committee is enclosed.

It has been brought to the notice of the CHQ of BSNLEU that, frequent / daily outage of service is taking place in Gujarat circle due to failure of uplinks in Prabhadevi Exchange in Mumbai. BSNLEU has requested an early solution to this problem, or else our EB and FTTH customers may opt for other service providers. 

This is the time when Hindu-Muslim hatred is being spread for capturing political power. In such a situation, it is heartening to note that, a great news has come from Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu, regarding Hindu-Muslim unity. In the Ottapalayam locality of Tiruppur, the Hindus were not able to get land for the construction of Lord Ganesha Temple. On hearing this, the Muslim Jamaath of that area donated land worth Rs.6 lakh to the Hindus, for the construction of Lord Ganesha Temple. On that land, Hindus constructed Lord Ganesh Temple and conducted the consecration. Muslims of that area participated in the consecration by offering fruits, flowers and other items on seven plates. The Hindus garlanded the Muslims and expressed their gratitude. Unity in diversity is the tradition of our country. Unity in diversity is the essence of our Constitution.

The CMD BSNL had invited the Recognised Unions and Associations for a meeting on 24.05.2024. Before meeting the CMD BSNL, the Recognised Unions and Associations held a meeting to finalise a common approach. Com.C.Singh, GS, NFTE, presided over. Com.Animesh Mitra, Com.C.K. Gundanna (BSNLEU), Com.M.S. Adasul, Com.Manish Samadiya, Com.Arvindpal Dahiya (SNEA), Com.N.D. Ram, Com.Mukesh (SEWA BSNL) participated in the meeting. It is the unanimous view of the meeting that, engaging the BCG at a cost of Rs.132 crore at this point of time is totally unwarranted. BSNL says that it has no funds even for repairing buildings & staff quarters. Mobile handsets denied to Non-Executives citing shortage of funds. Most importantly, the burning problem of Wage Revision is not settled, citing the financial condition of the Company. In such a situation spending Rs.132 crore for consultant is totally unwarranted. After detailed discussions, it was decided to raise in the meeting with the CMD BSNL, the demand of Wage Revision with 5% fitment.  

संदिग्ध और भेदभावपूर्ण नीति अपनाने से प्रबंधन हंसी का पात्र बन जाएगा - BSNLEU ने बीएसएनएल के सीएमडी को लिखा पत्र।

सीएमडी बीएसएनएल ने कंपनी की विकासात्मक गतिविधियों, खास तौर पर कंसल्टेंट बीसीजी को नियुक्त करने के बारे में चर्चा करने के लिए 24-05-2024 को मान्यता प्राप्त यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों को चर्चा के लिए आमंत्रित किया। BSNLEU ने हमेशा यह कहा है कि सभी पंजीकृत यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों को उन बैठकों के लिए आमंत्रित किया जाना चाहिए जहां कंपनी की विकासात्मक गतिविधियों/नई परियोजनाओं पर चर्चा की जाती है। हालांकि, प्रबंधन ने कड़ा रुख अपनाया है कि केवल मान्यता प्राप्त यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों को ही आमंत्रित किया जाएगा। हालांकि, 24-05-2024 को आयोजित बैठक में बीटीईयू के महासचिव, जो एक गैर-मान्यता प्राप्त यूनियन है, को भाग लेने की अनुमति दी गई है। BSNLEU ने इस मामले पर अपना विरोध दर्ज करते हुए आज सीएमडी बीएसएनएल को एक पत्र लिखा है। अपने पत्र में, BSNLEU ने कहा है कि, प्रबंधन को या तो सभी पंजीकृत यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों को ऐसी बैठकों के लिए आमंत्रित करना चाहिए, या केवल मान्यता प्राप्त यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों को आमंत्रित करना चाहिए। BSNLEU ने पत्र में स्पष्ट रूप से कहा है कि संदिग्ध और भेदभावपूर्ण नीति अपनाने से प्रबंधन कर्मचारियों की नजरों में हंसी का पात्र बन जाएगा।

CMD BSNL invited the recognised unions and associations for a discussion on 24-05-2024, to discuss about the developmental activities of the Company, importantly about engaging the consultant, BCG. BSNLEU has always maintained that, all the registered unions and associations should be invited for meetings where developmental activities/new projects of the Company are discussed. However, Management has taken a stiff position that only recognised unions and associations would be invited. However, in the meeting held on 24-05-2024, the general secretary of BTEU, which is an unrecognised union, has been allowed to participate. BSNLEU has written a letter to the CMD BSNL today, recording its protest on this matter. In its letter, BSNLEU has stated that, the Management should either invite all registered unions and associations for such meetings, or invite only recognised unions and associations. BSNLEU has emphatically stated in the letter that adopting a dubious and discriminative policy will make the Management a laughing stock in the eyes of the employees.

बीसीजी को नियुक्त करना एक निरर्थक प्रयास है - BSNLEU ने सीएमडी बीएसएनएल को पत्र लिखा।

बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन ने बीएसएनएल को अग्रणी ब्रांड बनाने के लिए बोस्टन कंसल्टिंग ग्रुप (बीसीजी) को नियुक्त किया है। प्रबंधन बीसीजी को फीस के रूप में 132.16 करोड़ रुपये का भुगतान कर रहा है। कंपनी ने पहले ही डेलोइट और केपीएमजी जैसे सलाहकारों को नियुक्त किया है। इन सलाहकारों की सभी सिफारिशें पहले ही लागू की जा चुकी हैं। फिर भी, बीएसएनएल की हालत खराब हो गई है। ऐसा इसलिए है, क्योंकि बीएसएनएल की समस्या की जड़ कहीं और है। सरकार ने 2007 से 2012 तक बीएसएनएल को अपने नेटवर्क का विस्तार करने की अनुमति नहीं दी। वर्तमान सरकार ने बीएसएनएल की 4G और 5G सेवाओं के प्रारंभ में बाधाएं खड़ी की हैं। कंपनी के वर्तमान संकट के लिए बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन की विफलताएं भी जिम्मेदार हैं। प्रबंधन कर्मचारियों के पास उपलब्ध प्रतिभाओं का उपयोग नहीं करना चाहता है। इसके अलावा, प्रबंधन कर्मचारियों के ज्वलंत मुद्दों जैसे वेतन संशोधन और अन्य मुद्दों का निपटारा नहीं कर रहा है। लेकिन, यह बीसीजी को फीस के रूप में 132.16 करोड़ रुपये की भारी राशि खर्च कर रहा है। प्रबंधन कंपनी के 90% कामों को बाहरी एजेंसियों को सौंपना चाहता है। BSNLEU ने आज सीएमडी बीएसएनएल को एक पत्र लिखा है, जिसमें कहा गया है कि बीसीजी को शामिल करना एक निरर्थक कवायद है। 

BSNL Management has engaged the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for converting BSNL into a leading brand. The Management is paying Rs.132.16 crore as fees to the BCG. Already the Company has engaged consultants such as Delloite and the KPMG. All the recommendations of these consultants have already been implemented. Still, BSNL’s condition has worsened. This is because, the root of BSNL’s problem is lying somewhere else. Government did not allow BSNL to expand it’s network from 2007 to 2012. The present Government has created road-blocks in the launching of BSNL’s 4G & 5G services. The failures of the BSNL Management are also responsible for the present crisis of the Company. Management does not want to utilise the talents available with the workforce. Further, the Management is not settling the burning issues of the employees like Wage Revision and other issues. But, it is spending a huge amount of Rs.132.16 crore as fees to the BCG. The Management wants to outsource 90% of the Company's works to the outside agencies.vBSNLEU has written a letter to the CMD BSNL today, stating that the engaging of the BCG is a futile exercise.
