Consequent to the formation of the new government at the centre, Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia has become the Hon'ble Minister of Communications. Together with him, Dr.Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, has become the Hon'ble Minister of State for Communications. BSNLEU heartily welcomes both the Hon'ble Ministers and wishes success in their new assignments. BSNLEU expresses the hope that, under the stewardship of both the Hon'ble Ministers, BSNL will attain its lost glory.

BSNLEU, जम्मू एवं कश्मीर सर्कल का सर्कल सम्मेलन जम्मू में सफलतापूर्वक आयोजित किया गया।

BSNLEU, जम्मू एवं कश्मीर सर्कल का सर्कल सम्मेलन 09-06-2024 को जम्मू में उत्साहपूर्वक आयोजित किया गया। सम्मेलन सुबह 10:00 बजे अध्यक्ष साथी अनिमेष मित्रा द्वारा यूनियन ध्वज फहराने के साथ शुरू हुआ। सम्मेलन में श्रीनगर, जम्मू, लेह, उधमपुर और सीजीएम कार्यालय जैसे सभी जिला यूनियनों के प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया। साथी मंजीत सिंह रीन, जिला सचिव, जम्मू और साथी अब्दुल हमीद भट, जिला सचिव, श्रीनगर से मिलकर बने एक प्रेसीडियम ने सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता की। साथी जॉन वर्गीस, कार्यवाहक महासचिव ने सर्कल सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन भाषण दिया। श्री सौरभ त्यागी, सीजीएम, जम्मू एवं कश्मीर सर्कल ने सम्मेलन को संबोधित किया और जम्मू एवं कश्मीर सर्कल में चल रही विकासात्मक गतिविधियों का विवरण दिया। सीजीएम ने कर्मचारियों के मुद्दों पर प्रतिनिधियों द्वारा उठाए गए कुछ प्रश्नों के उत्तर भी दिए। सम्मेलन को अध्यक्ष साथी अनिमेष मित्रा ने विस्तार से संबोधित किया। उन्होंने वेतन संशोधन की स्थिति और नोन एक्ज़ीक्यूटिव्स की अन्य महत्वपूर्ण मांगों के बारे में बताया। सभी प्रतिनिधियों ने विचार-विमर्श में भाग लिया। प्रतिनिधियों ने सर्कल सम्मेलन आयोजित करके जम्मू-कश्मीर सर्कल में BSNLEU को पुनर्जीवित करने के लिए सीएचक्यू द्वारा उठाए गए कदमों की बहुत सराहना की। अखिल भारतीय नेताओं ने प्रतिनिधियों द्वारा उठाए गए मुद्दों का जवाब दिया। अंत में पदाधिकारियों का चुनाव सर्वसम्मति से हुआ। साथी रऊफ अहमद, जेई, श्रीनगर को सर्कल अध्यक्ष और साथी कृष्ण लाल, जेई, जम्मू को सर्कल सचिव चुना गया। सीएचक्यू नव निर्वाचित सर्कल पदाधिकारियों को हार्दिक बधाई देता है। सीएचक्यू जम्मू जिला यूनियन और साथी रीन, जिला सचिव को सम्मेलन को सफलतापूर्वक आयोजित करने की व्यवस्था करने के लिए हृदयपूर्वक से धन्यवाद देता है। 

BSNLEU and SNTTA have jointly given call for organising lunch hour demonstrations on 12-06-2024. This demonstration is for demanding settlement of the burning issues of the Non-Executives including Wage Revision and also against the step-motherly attitude of the BSNL Management towards settlement of the issues of the Non-Executives. All the circle and district unions are requested to make wide publicity of the charter of demands of BSNLEU & SNATTA, by way of printing posters, leaflets, etc. They are also requested to coordinate with the leadership of SNATTA and to take all out efforts for organising the demonstration successfully. Special efforts should be taken for mobilising the DR JEs totally in this demonstration.

The circle conference of BSNLEU, J&K circle, is held enthusiastically at Jammu on 09-06-2024. The Conference started at 10:00 am, with the hoisting of the Union flag by Com.Animesh Mitra, President. Delegates from all the district unions, viz., Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Udhampur and CGM Office participated in the Conference. A presidium, consisting of Com. Manjit Singh Reen, district secretary, Jammu and Com. Abdul Hameed Bhat, district secretary, Srinagar, presided over the Conference. Com.John Verghese, Acting GS, delivered the inaugural address of the circle conference. Shri Saurabh Tyagi, CGM, J&K circle addressed the Conference and gave an account of the developmental activities going on in J&K circle. The CGM also replied to certain queries raised by the delegates on staff issues. Com.Animesh Mitra, President addressed the Conference in detail. He explained about the status of wage revision and other important demands of the Non-Executives. All the delegates participated in the deliberations. The delegates greatly appreciated the steps taken by the CHQ to revive BSNLEU in J&K circle, by holding the circle conference.The All India leaders replied to the issues raised by the delegates. At the end election of office bearers took place unanimously. Com. Rauf Ahmed, JE, Srinagar, is elected as the circle president and Com. Krishan Lal, JE, Jammu, is elected as the circle secretary. CHQ heartily congratulates the newly elected circle office bearers. CHQ sincerely thanks the Jammu district union and Com.Reen, district secretary, for making arrangements to hold the conference successfully.

The Circle Executive Committee meeting of Bihar circle was held on 06-06-2024, at Patna. Com. B.P. Singh, President, presided over the meeting. Com. Animesh Mitra, President, delivered the inaugural address and spoke in detail explaining all the current issues. He called on the comrades to successfully implement the trade union action programme being called on by BSNLEU and SNATTA. Com.Prasant Kumar Prasant, Circle Secretary submitted the report on activities and spoke on the activities of the circle union. Com. Ram Nath Ra, Circle Treasurer placed the accounts. All the Circle Executive Committee members participated in the deliberations. After detailed discussions, the meeting took decisions regarding successfully implementing the joint calls of BSNLEU and SNATTA and strengthening BSNLEU in the circle. The meeting also decided that, constitutional norms should be strictly followed by the circle office bearers.

BSNLEU has continuously pursued the agenda of issuing Presidential Orders to left-out TSM/RMs and TTs across various circles. In continuation to this persuasion, BSNLEU has addressed the case of late Sri. G. Anthony Selvaraj, TT, Mangalore, with Shri S.P. Singh, PGM(Estt.) on 07.06.2024.

The Corporate Office has issued the following letter regard transfers and postings in the grade of CGM. New cgms are posted in Tamil nadu, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, UP(East), QA, Maharashtra, NE-II and Haryana circles.

As per Consumer Price Index numbers released by the Labour Bureau on 07-06-2024, IDA rate based on 2007 Pay Scales will increase by 1.4% w.e.f. 01-04-2024. The existing IDA rate is 215.4%. With 1.4% increase the new rate of IDA payable w.e.f 01-04-2024 will be 216.8%.

We urgently bring to your attention a significant oversight in BSNL's recent list regarding the career progression of sports persons. Notably, Nandita Dutt, who has consistently represented BSNL in badminton competitions and secured a bronze in the 2016 and 2018 inter-public sector tournaments, is excluded despite meeting the eligibility criteria.

Additionally, Sumitra Pujari and Ravi Kumar's cases need immediate consideration. It's unacceptable that deserving sports persons are being overlooked. We demand their inclusion in the list of those eligible for career progression, recognising their dedication and achievements at the national level.
