A meeting was held yesterday the 19.06.2024, with CGM (SR), Smt. Anita Johri, attended by Com. John Verghese, Acting General Secretary and Com. C.K. Gundanna, AGS. The main focus was to discuss the merger of Kolkata Telecom Stores with Telecom Stores, West Bengal.

We explained the potential problems for employees at both stores and various staff issues. We also highlighted concerns for current and future pensioners regarding pension drawl post-merger. The CGM (SR) requested a written statement of our views to discuss with higher authorities and provide feedback.

Additionally, BSNLEU discussed career progression for sports personalities and the postponement of the DNI case in Assam. Regarding Assam DNI case the file has been moved for rectification. The CGM (SR) assured us of an exclusive meeting with the Director (HR) to address the issues related to Career progression as soon as possible.

समूह स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसी के नवीनीकरण के लिए अगली बैठक 21.06.2024 को होगी।

BSNLEU समय-समय पर अपने कर्मचारियों को बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन, ओरिएंटल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी और मान्यता प्राप्त यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों के बीच इच्छुक बीएसएनएल कर्मचारियों के लिए नई समूह स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसी को अंतिम रूप देने के मामले में होने वाली बैठकों के विवरण के बारे में सूचित कर रहा है। कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय की प्रशासनिक शाखा ने अब सूचित किया है कि इस मुद्दे पर *अगली बैठक 21.06.2024 को दोपहर 03:00 बजे* होगी। सूचना पत्र में कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय ने ओरिएंटल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी द्वारा प्रस्तावित समूह स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसी की विभिन्न श्रेणियों के लिए प्रीमियम का विवरण भी प्रस्तुत किया है। वे विवरण इसके साथ संलग्न हैं। 21.06.2024 को होने वाली बैठक में BSNLEU के प्रतिनिधि भाग लेंगे।

From time to time, BSNLEU is informing our employees about the details of the meetings being held between BSNL Management, Oriental Insurance Company and the Recognised Unions & Associations, in the matter of finalising the new Group Health Insurance Policy for the willing BSNL employees. The Admin. Branch of the Corporate Office has now informed that, the next meeting on this issue will be held at 03:00 pm on 21.06.2024. In the intimation letter, the Corporate Office has also furnished the details of the premium for various categories of the Group Health Insurance Policy, as proposed by the Oriental Insurance Company. Those details are enclosed herewith. Representatives of BSNLEU will participate in the meeting to be held on 21.06.2024.

सर्किल और जिला सम्मेलनों का समय पर आयोजन-* *सर्किल सचिव और सीएचक्यू पदाधिकारी कृपया ध्यान दें। 

हमारे यूनियन के स्वस्थ संचालन के लिए समय पर सम्मेलनों का आयोजन बहुत आवश्यक है। BSNLEU के संविधान के अनुसार, 3 साल में एक बार सर्कल सम्मेलन आयोजित किया जाना चाहिए। इसी तरह, 2 साल में एक बार जिला सम्मेलन आयोजित किया जाना चाहिए। हालांकि, यह देखा गया है कि संविधान के अनुसार ऐसा नहीं किया जा रहा है। कुछ सर्किलों ने अपने सम्मेलन समय पर आयोजित नहीं किए हैं। यह भी ध्यान देने योग्य है कि अधिकांश मामलों में जिला सम्मेलन 2 साल में एक बार आयोजित नहीं किए जाते हैं। यह सुनिश्चित करना सर्कल यूनियन का कर्तव्य है कि उनके सर्कल के भीतर सभी जिला सम्मेलन दो साल में एक बार आयोजित किए जाएं। यह सुनिश्चित करना सीएचक्यू पदाधिकारियों का भी कर्तव्य है कि उनके संबंधित सर्कल में सम्मेलन BSNLEU के संविधान के अनुसार समय पर आयोजित किए जाएं। 

Conducting the conferences on time is very essential for the healthy functioning of our Union. As per the Constitution of BSNLEU, circle conferences have to be conducted once in 3 years. Similarly, district conferences have to be conducted once in 2 years. However, it is observed that, this is not being done as per the Constitution. Some circles have not conducted their conferences on time. It is also noted that, in most cases, the district conferences are not conducted once in 2 years. It is the duty of the circle union to ensure that all the district conferences within their circles, are conducted once in two years. It is also the duty of the CHQ office bearers to ensure that, the conferences in their respective circles are conducted promptly in accordance with the Constitution of BSNLEU.

बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन द्वारा आंतरिक परीक्षाओं में अनुत्तीर्ण अनुसूचित जनजाति अभ्यर्थियों के परिणामों की समीक्षा न करना - BSNLEU ने एक बार फिर राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जनजाति आयोग को पत्र लिखा है।

बीएसएनएल में आयोजित की जा रही आंतरिक परीक्षाओं के संबंध में प्रबंधन को मूल्यांकन के निम्न मानकों को लागू करते हुए अनुत्तीर्ण अनुसूचित जनजाति अभ्यर्थियों के परिणामों की समीक्षा करनी है। लेकिन, बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन इस मामले में सरकार के निर्देशों का पालन नहीं कर रहा है। इस मुद्दे को बार-बार बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन के समक्ष उठाने के बाद आखिरकार BSNLEU ने राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जनजाति आयोग और राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जनजाति आयोग से संपर्क किया। राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जनजाति आयोग ने BSNLEU के पत्र का जवाब देते हुए बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन से स्पष्टीकरण मांगा। प्रबंधन ने बिना किसी विशेष विवरण के अस्पष्ट उत्तर दिया है। इसलिए BSNLEU ने एक बार फिर राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जनजाति आयोग को पत्र लिखकर कहा है कि बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन के उत्तर में कोई डेटा नहीं है। BSNLEU ने राष्ट्रीय अनुसूचित जनजाति आयोग से आग्रह किया है कि बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन को यह डेटा उपलब्ध कराना चाहिए कि पिछले 5 वर्षों में आयोजित आंतरिक परीक्षाओं में अनुत्तीर्ण अनुसूचित जनजाति अभ्यर्थियों के परिणामों की किस प्रकार समीक्षा की गई है। 

As regards the internal examinations being conducted in BSNL, the Management has to review the results of the failed SC/ST candidates, by applying lesser standards of evaluation. However, the BSNL Management is not implementing the government instructions on this matter. After repeatedly taking up this issue with the BSNL Management, finally, BSNLEU approached the National Commission for SC and the National Commission for ST. The National Commission for ST, responding to the letter of BSNLEU, called for explanation from the BSNL Management. The Management has given a vague reply without specific details. Hence, BSNLEU has once again, written letter to the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, stating that, the BSNL Management’s reply does not contain any data. BSNLEU has insisted the National Commission for ST that, the BSNL Management should provide data as to how, the results of the failed ST candidates have been reviewed in the internal examinations conducted in the last 5 years.

सार्वजनिक उद्यम चयन बोर्ड ने श्री सुधाकरराव पापा को बीएसएनएल के अगले निदेशक (एंटरप्राइज़) के रूप में अनुशंसित किया है।

बीएसएनएल के अगले निदेशक (एंटरप्राइज़) के चयन के लिए सार्वजनिक उद्यम चयन बोर्ड (पीईएसबी) की बैठक 15.06.2024 को आयोजित की गई थी। इस चयन में कुल 11 व्यक्ति शामिल हुए। अंत में, पीईएसबी ने श्री सुधाकरराव पापा, जो वर्तमान में चेन्नई टेलीफोन सर्कल के चीफ जनरल मैनेजर हैं, को बीएसएनएल के अगले निदेशक (एंटरप्राइज़) के रूप में अनुशंसित किया है। यह चयन अब कैबिनेट की नियुक्ति समिति (एसीसी) के अनुमोदन के लिए जाएगा। BSNLEU श्री सुधाकरराव पापा को पीईएसबी द्वारा उनके चयन के लिए हार्दिक बधाई देता है।

The meeting of the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) was held on 15.06.2024 for selecting the next Director (Enterprise) of BSNL. Totally 11 persons appeared in this selection. Finally, the PESB has recommended Shri SUDHAKARARAO PAPA, who is presently the CGM of Chennai Telephones Circle, as the next Director (Enterprise) of BSNL. This selection will now go for the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet(ACC). BSNLEU heartily congratulates Shri SUDHAKARARAO PAPA for his selection by the PESB.
