A meeting of the AUAB is held at New Delhi today, to review the agitational programmes that have taken place and the progress in the charter of demands. The meeting noted with concern that, the government is taking every possible step to block BSNL’s 4G launching. The decision of the Management Committee, to upgrade 18,000 BTSs, for launching BSNL's 4G service, has been blocked by the BSNL Board. The meeting noted that, there is no improvement on the other demands also. Hence, the meeting unanimously decided to organise a 3 day dharna at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, from 6th to 8th September, 2021. 

The AUAB meeting held today at New Delhi, took serious note of the non-settlement of pension to Com.S. Sivakumar, GS, AIBSNLEA, who retired on superannuation on 31.07.2021. After the conclusion of the AUAB meeting, all the General Secretaries met Shri P.K. Purwar, CMD BSNL and expressed their deep anguish over the non-settlement of Com.S. Sivakumar’s pension. It was also pointed out that the pension case of Com.Kabeerdas, ex-GS, BSNL OA, is also still not settled. The leaders told the CMD BSNL that, they would be compelled to agitate if the issue is not settled without delay. 

The CEC meeting of BSNLEU, held at Hyderabad on 06th & 07th August, 2021, has given call to organise a “Meet the Members Programme” from 21.08.2021 to 05.09.2021. During this period, the circle, district and branch level leaders should meet each and every member of BSNLEU and explain about the anti-public sector policies of the government, as well as the roadblocks being created in the revival of BSNL. The attacks being made by the government, on trade union, democratic and civil rights are also to be explained to the employees. The CHQ shall provide matter, which is to be printed into pamphlets and to be distributed during this campaign. 

The AUAB has organised certain trade union programmes, including the hunger strike, that was held on 28.07.2021, demanding settlement of it’s charter of demands. A meeting of the AUAB is being held tomorrow, to decide about the future course of action.

Leh SSA in Jammu & Kashmir circle is having extreme climatic condition. It will have sub-zero temperatures for a good part of the year. The DR JEs posted in Leh and who have completed 4 years of service, applied for transfer to the other SSAs of J&K circle. However, it was not accepted. Even their transfer applications were not sent to the competent authority. Under these circumstances, BSNLEU took up this issue. Repeated letters were written and discussions were held with the Director (HR). As a result, the Corporate Office instructed the J&K circle administration to mitigate the sufferings of the DR JEs of Leh SSA. At last, the J&K circle administration has altered it’s transfer policy. Following this, all the 4 DR JEs presently posted in Leh SSA, will get transfer to the other SSAs of J&K circle.

Indian athlete, Neeraj Chopra, has won gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics, in javelin throw. This is the first time that, an Indian athlete wins gold medal in the track and field event of the Olympics. Neeraj Chopra has brought pride for India. BSNLEU salutes him.

As has already been informed by BSNLEU, window has already been opened in the ERP, for submitting option to join the BSNL Employees Health Insurance Policy. Some employees have experienced difficulty, in submitting their option. BSNLEU has taken this to the notice of the GM(Admn.) today. In response to the complaint of BSNLEU, a step-by-step guidance has been issued by the GM(Admn.) for easily submitting the option.

बीएसएनएल कर्मचारी चिकित्सा बीमा पॉलिसी-BSNL Employees Medical Insurance Policy के विकल्प जमा करने के लिए ईआरपी-ERP दिनांक 07.08.2021 से विंडो खोली गई है ताकि कर्मचारियों को बीएसएनएल कर्मचारी चिकित्सा बीमा पॉलिसी में शामिल होने के लिए तैयार किया जा सके। यह विंडो 16-08-2021 तक खुली रहेगी। विकल्प जमा करने में कर्मचारियों को हो रही दिक्कतों के संबंध में सीएचक्यू-CHQ के ध्यान में कुछ शिकायतें लाई गई हैं। जनरल सेक्रेटरी साथी पी. अभिमन्यु-General Secretary, Com. P.
