Salary for the month of February, 2022 has been disbursed today. This has become possible only because of the unity and struggle of the Non-Executives and Executives of BSNL, under the banner of the AUAB. We have to be vigilant in the days to come also, to ensure that the BSNL Management honours it’s promise to disburse salary on the due date of every month.

As has already been informed, the 10^th All India Conference of BSNLEU will be held at Guwahati, from 02^nd to 04^th April, 2022. The venue of the Conference is Pragjyotish ITA Centre, M.G. Road, Machkhowa, Guwahati – 781 009. The Conference will start sharply at 9:30 am on the first day and will be presided over by Com.Animesh Mitra, President. The notification for this Conference is issued today and the same is enclosed.

The BSNLEU and NFTE circle unions of Maharashtra circle, organised an impressive Convention in connection with the forthcoming General Strike to be held on 28^th & 29^th March, 2022.  The Convention was held at Aurangabad yesterday the 27.02.2022. Com.N.K. Nalawade, Circle President, BSNLEU, presided over the Convention. Com.Ranjan Dani, CS, NFTE and Com.Ganesh Hinge, CS, BSNLEU, welcomed the participants and briefly addressed the Convention. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, BSNLEU and Com.Chandeshwar Singh, GS, NFTE, addressed the Convention in detail and explained the issues on which the General Strike is being organised. They called on the BSNL employees to successfully organise the two day General Strike.

BSNL pensioners are being denied of their pension revision. The DoT is taking an adamant stand that, BSNL pensioners will get pension revision only when the serving employees are given wage revision. Some members of the Parliament are raising this issue with the government. Recently, Smt. Vanga Geetha Viswanath, Member of the Parliament has met Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister of Communications and has strongly demanded that, BSNL pensioners should be given pension revision. The Hon’ble Minister has now replied to the letter written by Smt. Vanga Geetha Viswanath, MP, wherein he has stated that the “the matter is being examined”. This reply is certainly different from the earlier replies / statements given by the earlier Hon’ble Minister of Communications. The reply of Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, gives some hope, though it is too early to say that the issue is going to be settled.

As all of us know, the DoT issued a letter a few days back, for snatching the prestigious ALTTC, from BSNL. Immediately, the AUAB announced agitational programmes against this high-handed decision of the DoT. However, after the announcement of agitational programmes by the AUAB, the DoT issued a letter yesterday, wherein it is stated that, the ALTTC will continue to remain with BSNL. This is certainly a victory for the unity of the employees. At the same time, the DoT has not cancelled it’s letter for the taking over of the ALTTC. 

The CHQ of BSNLEU has successfully organised two Facebook live programmes, for mobilising the employees in the General Strike to be held on 28^th and 29^th March, 2022. On 24^th February,2022, the programme was organised in Hindi and on 25^th February,2022, it was organised in English. Com.P.Abhimanyu,GS, addressed in both the programmes. 1000 comrades have so far viewed the Hindi programme and 750 comrades have so far viewed the English programme. CHQ heartily thanks the comrades for making the programmes successful.

रूस को यूक्रेन पर अपने हमलों को रोकना चाहिए - अमेरिका को अपने युद्ध के गंदे खेल को रोकना चाहिए।

कल, रूसी सशस्त्र बलों ने यूक्रेन पर हमला करना शुरू कर दिया है। यह अस्वीकार्य है और रूस को यूक्रेन के खिलाफ अपने सैन्य अभियानों को तुरंत रोकना चाहिए। साथ ही, दुनिया को यह समझना चाहिए कि, अमेरिकी साम्राज्यवाद इस संकट के पीछे असली अपराधी है। North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) 30 देशों का सैन्य गठबंधन है। अमेरिका इस सैन्य गठबंधन का नेता है। अब अमेरिका ने यूक्रेन को NATO का सदस्य बनाने के लिए कदम उठाए हैं। रूस यूक्रेन का सीमावर्ती देश है। यदि यूक्रेन NATO का सदस्य बन जाता है, तो NATO के सैन्य अड्डे और मिसाइलें रूस के दरवाजे पर आ जाएंगी। इसलिए, रूस वास्तव में डरता है कि, यूक्रेन के NATO में शामिल होने से इसकी सुरक्षा के लिए एक बहुत बड़ा खतरा पैदा होगा। इसी आशंका ने रूस को यूक्रेन पर हमले करने के लिए मजबूर कर दिया है।  भारत सहित विश्व के राष्ट्रों को तुरंत कदम उठाना चाहिए और बातचीत के माध्यम से इस संकट को हल करना चाहिए।

Yesterday, the Russian armed forces have started attacking Ukraine. This is unacceptable and Russia should immediately stop it’s military operations against Ukraine. At the same time, the world should understand that, the US imperialism is the real culprit behind this crisis. North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) is the military alliance of 30 countries. The US is the leader of this military alliance. Now, the US has taken steps to make Ukraine  as a member of the NATO. Russia is the bordering country of Ukraine. If Ukraine becomes a member of the NATO, then, the military bases and missiles of the NATO will come to the door steps of Russia. Hence, Russia is genuinely afraid that, Ukraine’s joining the NATO will pose a very big threat to it’s security. It is this apprehension that has made Russia to launch attacks on Ukraine.  Nations of the World, including India, should immediately step in and resolve this crisis through talks.
