Take all-out preparations for the Protest Chain programme on 20th May 2026, as the IDA Arrear- related file has still not been replied to by the Management at Corporate Office. On last Friday, CHQ had received the information that the management is collecting inputs from the Board Members regarding payment of the IDA arrears along with the salary for May 2026. However, it is unfortunate that the DoT is still waiting for a reply from the BSNL Management. Under these circumstances, all circles and districts are requested to intensify preparations and ensure the grand success of the Protest Chain programme on 20th May 2026. Unity and struggle will ensure our success.

View letterIn the 40th National Council meeting, held on 13-01-2025, BSNLEU demanded that, the discrimination between NEPP and the Executive Promotion Policy( EPP) should be removed. While the Non- Executives get Time Bound Upgradation of pay scale only after completion of 8 years, the Executives get upgradation of pay scale on completion of every 5 years. BSNLEU strongly demanded that, this discrimination should be removed. The Director(HR) accepted the views of BSNLEU and ordered that, a committee to settle this issue would be formed. It is already 3 months since the National Council meeting is held. To our knowledge, so far the committee has not been formed. Hence, BSNLEU has written letter to the Director(HR) today, demanding expeditious formation of the committee for the removal of the discrimination between NEPP and EPP.

View letterThe Andaman & Nicobar circle administration has refused to accept Com.S.P.Kalairajan, circle secretary of BSNL EU as a member of the Circle Welfare Board. S.P.Kalairajan is the circle secretary of the Main Recognised Representative Union. He is accepted as a member of the Circle Council. At the same time, it is totally meaningless not to accept him as a member of the Circle Welfare Board. CHQ has written a letter to the PGM(SR) in this regard. Today, Com.P. Abhimanyu,GS, discussed this issue with Ms.Anita Johri, PGM(SR) and requested her to cause to issue necessary instruction to the A&N circle administration. The PGM(SR) has assured to do the needful.

View letterFollowing the recent meeting on March 22, 2024, where management requested details on stagnation and pay loss cases for non-executives, BSNLEU has compiled and submitted comprehensive data with stagnation cases for review. We echo concerns that accepting proposed pay scales could worsen these issues. Urging thorough examination and discussion within the wage negotiation committee, we request prompt scheduling of the next meeting within a fortnight to expedite negotiations. Join us in advocating for fair compensation and equitable treatment for all BSNL non-executive employees.
