Implementation of DoP&PW order on Compassionate Appointments – CHQ writes to Secretary, DoT.

The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoP&PW) has recently issued an important order regarding employees appointed on Compassionate Grounds. As per the order, the date of application for Compassionate Ground Appointment shall be considered as the crucial date for extending the benefits of the Old Pension Scheme under the CCS (Pension) Rules, 2021. BSNLEU has requested the Secretary, DoT, to extend this benefit to BSNL employees who were appointed by BSNL but had submitted their applications during the DoT period. The Union has also requested the issuance of Presidential Orders to employees who submitted their applications for Compassionate Ground Appointment on or before 30.09.2000 and were subsequently appointed by BSNL.
