BSNLEU Chhattisgarh Circle Conference held at Durg.

The Circle Conference of BSNLEU, Chhattisgarh Circle, was held at Durg Telephone Exchange on 21st July 2026, with the impressive participation of BSNL employees despite heavy rain. The conference demonstrated the organisational strength of BSNLEU in Chhattisgarh Circle. Veteran leader Com. S. H. Dani presided over the conference. In his inaugural address, he explained the prevailing political situation in the country. Com. Animesh Mitra, General Secretary, BSNLEU, strongly criticised the Central Government for weakening the PSUs, including BSNL, and blocking the 3rd Pay Revision for BSNL employees by citing the “Affordability Clause”, while simultaneously claiming credit for the revival of BSNL as a profitable company. During the delegates session, Com. R. S. Bhatt, Circle Secretary, placed the Secretariat report, which was followed by a meaningful discussion with the active participation of a good number of delegates. The conference accepted the challenge of making BSNLEU the No.1 recognised union in Chhattisgarh Circle in the next Membership Verification. At the concluding of the discussion, Com. R. S. Bhatt, Circle Secretary and Com. Animesh Mitra, General Secretary, clarified the issues raised by the delegates. The conference elected Com. Digvijay Singh as President and Com. Satish Meshram as Circle Secretary for the next term.
