Yesterday, the strike campaign programme concluded in most circles. By last evening, information was received from various circles such as Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, UP (East), NE-I, etc., regarding campaign activities conducted in different BAs. The nationwide campaign, which began in the second week of January across BSNL offices and exchanges, received tremendous support from workers. The final programme was held yesterday at Kolkata Telephones Bhawan and the CTO Building, West Bengal circle, where Com. Animesh Mitra, GS, addressed a large gathering of BSNL employees, pensioners, and contract casual labourers.

Workers’ meetings were successfully held at Kalyan and Aurangabad, alongside an intensified WhatsApp outreach to connect directly with individual members. Com. K. Baste, CS, attended the Kalyan meeting, while Com. John Verghese, AGS, participated in the Aurangabad meeting, where they clearly explained the Charter of Demands and called for united participation in the strike. The Circle Union has also prepared extensive campaign materials in the local language to strengthen the WhatsApp campaign and ensure wider awareness and mobilization.
Telangana Circle Union has launched an active campaign programme in preparation for the forthcoming General Strike. A meeting was successfully held at Hyderabad, where the District Executive Committee finalised the campaign schedule and action plan. Similar programmes were conducted in Khammam and Karimnagar with enthusiastic participation and good attendance from members. Com. Samvasis Rao, Circle Secretary, Telangana Circle, attended all these meetings along with other Circle Union leaders, actively guiding and motivating the members. CHQ appreciates the proactive efforts of the Circle Union, particularly for printing posters and pamphlets in the regional language and distributing them to the District Secretaries for wider circulation among members.


The NE-II Circle Committee meeting held at Imphal on 10th January, 2026, decided to organise tour programmes at BA level as part of the campaign for the 12th February General Strike. After returning from the CEC meeting, the Circle Secretary discussed the programme with the District Secretaries of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. It has been reported that the district union organised campaign programmes at the GM Office, Nagaland on 9th February 2026 and in Arunachal Pradesh on 6th February 2026. CHQ conveys warm greetings to the Circle Secretary of NE-II Circle and the District Secretaries of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh BA.





Kerala Circle Union is actively carrying forward the campaign for the countrywide General Strike on 12th February, with programmes progressing in full swing. Along with CHQ posters and pamphlets, the circle union has printed 500 posters and 2,000 pamphlets in the local language and distributed them to district unions. The coordination committee comprising BSNLEU, AIBDPA and CCLU is organising conventions at BA/OA level, with active participation from regular employees, pensioners and contract workers. The demands of BSNL employees and pensioners are being highlighted, and Kerala Circle is committed to making the strike historic, continuing its strong tradition.
