Com.Animesh Mitra, President and Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, met Shri Sandeep Govil, Director (CM) today and discussed the following issues:-

a)     BSNL’s 4G service.

The problems being faced by customers in BSNL’s 4G service is conveyed to the Director (CM). The Director (CM) replied that, by and large the problems have been addressed and still efforts are being made to provide good quality 4G service to the customers.

b)    Issuing E-SIM to the customers.

It was informed that non-availability of E-SIM is creating dissatisfaction among high end customers of BSNL. The Director (CM) replied that expeditious action is being taken to issue E-SIMs to our customers.

c)     Provisioning of Airfiber service.

A letter is given to the Director (CM) by BSNLEU today, regarding the provisioning of Airfiber service in the urban areas by BSNL. Presently, this service is only provided in some rural areas by the Franchisees. Provisioning of Airfiber service in the urban area by BSNL will improve the quality of service and BSNL’s revenue. The Director (CM) assured to look into it.

बीएसएनएल की टीम द्वारा शहरी क्षेत्रों में एयरफाइबर सेवा उपलब्ध कराना-BSNLEU ने निदेशक (सीएम) को लिखा पत्र।

फिलहाल, बीएसएनएल की टीम शहरी क्षेत्रों में एयरफाइबर सेवा उपलब्ध नहीं करा रही है। यह सेवा केवल फ्रेंचाइजी/टीआईपी द्वारा ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में कुछ स्थानों पर उपलब्ध कराई जा रही है। बीएसएनएल की टीम द्वारा शहरी क्षेत्रों में एयरफाइबर सेवा उपलब्ध कराने से केबल फेल होने के समय एफटीटीएच और मोबाइल सेवाओं को बनाए रखने में मदद मिलेगी। यह प्राकृतिक आपदाओं, वीवीआईपी दौरे, लीज्ड लाइनों के प्रावधान आदि के समय भी उपयोगी होगी। यह मुद्दा कोलकाता में आयोजित BSNLEU की सीईसी बैठक में उठाया गया था। BSNLEU ने आज निदेशक (सीएम), बीएसएनएल को पत्र लिखकर बीएसएनएल की टीम द्वारा शहरी क्षेत्रों में एयरफाइबर सेवा शुरू करने की मांग की है।

Presently, BSNL team is not providing Airfiber service in the urban areas. It is being provided only in some places in the rural areas by Franchisees / TIPs. Provisioning of Airfiber service in the urban areas by BSNL’s team will help to maintain FTTH and mobile services in times of cable failure. It will also be useful in times of natural calamities, VVIP visit, provisioning of leased lines, etc. This issue was raised in the CEC meeting of BSNLEU held at Kolkata. BSNLEU has written a letter to the Director (CM), BSNL, today, demanding the introduction of Airfiber service in the urban areas by BSNL’s team.

जहां सर्कल कार्यकारिणी समिति की बैठक नहीं हुई है, वहां बैठक आयोजित की जाए।

यह देखा गया है कि कुछ सर्कल यूनियनों ने सर्कल कार्यकारिणी समिति की बैठक नहीं की है, जैसा कि सीएचक्यू के निर्णय से हुआ था। कोलकाता केंद्रीय कार्यकारिणी समिति की बैठक में इसकी समीक्षा की गई और निर्णय लिया गया कि ऐसी सर्कल यूनियनों को जल्द से जल्द सर्कल कार्यकारिणी समिति की बैठक आयोजित करनी चाहिए। इसलिए सीएचक्यू उन सर्कल यूनियनों से अनुरोध करता है कि वे तत्काल बैठक आयोजित करें। बैठक की तिथि महासचिव के परामर्श से तय की जाए।

It is noted that, some of the circle unions have not conducted their Circle Executive Committee meetings, as per the decision of the CHQ. The Kolkata Central Executive Committee meeting reviewed this and has decided that, such of those circle unions should conduct their Circle Executive Committee meetings at the earliest. Hence, the CHQ requests those circle unions to immediately conduct the meeting. The date of the meeting may be fixed in consultation with the General Secretary.
