On 27^th October, 2025, the Supreme Court delivered a judgement in favour of Vodafone Idea in the AGR dues case. The judgement has allowed the government to reassess Vodafone Idea’s AGR dues. In it's judgement, the Supreme Court has stated that, the judgement is given keeping into consideration that, the government is having 49% shareholding in Vodafone Idea. AGR (Adjusted Gross Revenue) is a methodology, based on which the DoT collects Licence Fee, Spectrum Charge, etc., from the telecom companies. There was a dispute between the DoT and the telecom companies regarding the calculation of the AGR. The DoT said that non-core revenue like rent, interest, etc., should be included for calculating the AGR. But, the private telecom companies did not agree to this. The matter went upto the Supreme Court and in 2019, the Supreme Court delivered a judgement in favour of the government. According to this judgement, Vodafone Idea had to pay Rs.58,000 crore to the government. But, Vodafone Idea continued with it's legal battle. Vodafone Idea is facing an extremely difficult financial condition and the latest judgement of the Supreme Court is viewed as the one that will give relief to it.

The All India Centre had given a call for organising special meetings in all districts, from 13^th to 18^th October, 2025, with the objective of explaining the Wage Revision Agreement signed by BSNLEU and NFTE on 08.10.2025. Most of the circle unions have effectively implemented this decision at both the district and circle levels. However, it has come to our notice that some circle unions have not yet taken the necessary initiative to organise this programme in their respective areas. This is the serious matter, as it is essential to explain the details of the Wage Revision Agreement to our members at the grass-root level. Therefore, the CHQ once again urges those circle unions which have not yet conducted the meetings to take immediate steps to organise this campaign programme and ensure that the members are properly informed about our role in the wage agreement.

The central government has published the draft of the Shram Shakti NITI-2025 policy which significantly curtailed the existing labour laws and the rights of the working class. A campaign programme is urgently required to educate and mobilise workers on the issue. In our department, the Management has also proposed a new policy for conducting the next Membership Verification. Regarding the 3rd PRC issue, it is essential to closely monitor the actions of the Management for appropriate further steps. To discuss about all these important matters, an emergent online CEC meeting will be held on 13.11.2025.  The CHQ will finalise it’s stand on the above issues after thorough discussions with CHQ office bearers and circle secretaries in order to decide the future course of action.

Com. Animesh Mitra, General Secretary and Com. Irfan Pasha, Treasurer (CHQ), met Shri Rajeev Kaushik, PGM(SR), on October 27, 2025, to discuss the latest position on the 3rd PRC issue. During discussion, PGM(SR) has informed that the file is being processed in various sections, including Finance, Establishment and SR, to finalise the calculation of staff costs due to 3rd PRC. In the meantime, it is also learnt that the Establishment Section has sent the required data and figures to the SR Section. On further query from the leaders, the PGM(SR) assured that the file will be put up to the Management Committee meeting in the next month after finalising the staff cost calculation.

बीएसएनएल ने सितंबर 2025 में भी एयरटेल से ज़्यादा मोबाइल कस्टमर्स जोड़े।

TRAI द्वारा जारी डेटा के अनुसार, बीएसएनएल ने सितंबर 2025 के महीने में 5.24 लाख नए मोबाइल कस्टमर्स जोड़े हैं। Jio ने 32.49 लाख नए मोबाइल कस्टमर्स जोड़े हैं। एयरटेल ने 4.37 लाख नए मोबाइल कस्टमर्स जोड़े हैं। वोडाफोन आइडिया ने 7.44 लाख मोबाइल कस्टमर्स खो दिए। यह ध्यान देने वाली बात है कि लगातार दूसरे महीने बीएसएनएल ने एयरटेल से ज़्यादा मोबाइल कस्टमर्स जोड़े हैं। अगस्त 2025 में भी, बीएसएनएल ने एयरटेल से ज़्यादा मोबाइल कस्टमर्स जोड़े थे।

There was a delay in the issuing of the revised IDA order by the DPE w.e.f 01-10-2025. Hence, on 24-10-2025, BSNLEU wrote letter to the DPE Secretary, demanding to expeditiously issue the revised IDA order. The DPE has issued the necessary order yesterday the 29-10-2025. According to this order, IDA increase for BSNL employees w.e.f 01-10-2025 will be 6.1%. The total IDA payable to BSNL employees will be 233.2% . Copy of the DPE order is enclosed.

DPE द्वारा 01-10-2025 से लागू होने वाला रिवाइज्ड IDA ऑर्डर जारी करने में देरी हुई। इसलिए, 24-10-2025 को BSNLEU ने DPE सेक्रेटरी को एक लेटर लिखकर रिवाइज्ड IDA ऑर्डर जल्द से जल्द जारी करने की मांग की। DPE ने कल 29-10-2025 को ज़रूरी ऑर्डर जारी कर दिया है। इस ऑर्डर के अनुसार, बीएसएनएल कर्मचारियों के लिए 01-10-2025 से IDA में 6.1% की बढ़ोतरी होगी। बीएसएनएल कर्मचारियों को कुल IDA 233.2% मिलेगा। DPE ऑर्डर की कॉपी संलग्न है।
