5% IDA increase has become due to BSNL employees, w.e.f. 01.10.2022. The total IDA has increased from 190.8% to 195.8%. The DPE had issued letter on 06.10.2022, approving this IDA increase. Based on this, the BSNL Corporate Office has issued letter today the 12.10.2022, for the payment of 5% IDA increase.

It is informed that, the 2nd All India Convention of BSNL Working Women’s Co-ordination Committee (BSNLWWCC) is going to be held on 10.12.2022. BSNLEU and BSNLWWCC, Tamil Nadu circle, have kindly consented to host this All India Convention. The venue of the Convention will be Kanyakumari. BSNLWWCC will inform shortly, the number of delegates that would be allotted to various circles. Only the number of delegates to be allotted to various circles, can participate in this All India Convention.

9वां सदस्यता सत्यापन आज सुबह शुरू हुआ और पूरे देश में चल रहा है। लगभग सभी सर्कल से तेज मतदान की सूचना मिली है। महासचिव साथी पी अभिमन्यु ने विभिन्न सर्कल सचिवों से बात की है और स्थिति का पता लगाया है। पूर्वोत्तर-1 को छोड़कर लगभग सभी सर्कल में मतदान शांतिपूर्ण ढंग से हो रहा है। पूर्वोत्तर-1 सर्कल के त्रिपुरा जिले में बीटीईयु ने BSNLEU के सदस्यों को मतदान करने से रोकने के लिए सत्तारूढ़ दल के उपद्रवियों को लाया है। सीएचक्यू ने कल पीजीएम (एसआर) को एक शिकायत लिखी है, जिसकी एक प्रति चीफ जनरल मेनेजर, पूर्वोत्तर-I सर्कल को दी गई है। प्रबंधन ने कुछ कदम उठाए हैं, हालांकि अभी भी BSNLEU के सभी सदस्यों ने उपद्रवियों की वजह से हो रही गड़बड़ी के कारण मतदान नहीं किया है। 

The 9^th Membership Verification started today morning and is going on throughout the country. Brisk polling is reported from almost all the circles. Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, has spoken to various circle secretaries and ascertained the position. The polling is taking place peacefully almost in all the circles, except NE-I. In Tripura district of NE-I circle, BTEU has brought hoodlums of the ruling party to stop the members of BSNLEU from voting. CHQ has written a complaint to the PGM(SR) yesterday, with a copy to the CGM, NE-I circle. Management has taken some steps, however still all the members of BSNLEU have not voted because of the disturbance being caused by outsiders. 

The CHQ heartily congratulates all the circle, district and branch unions for successfully conducting the campaign for the 9^th Membership Verification.  From the interaction that we had with our functionaries and members, during the campaign, we can understand that BSNLEU will win in the 9^th Membership Verification, with substantial increase in the vote percentage. However, we have to ensure that the support BSNLEU is having among the employees, are converted into votes. Hence, all circle, district and branch unions are requested to ensure the following:-

1. Each and every Non-Executive casts his / her vote in this Membership Verification.
2. Special attention should be given to bring the Non-Executives posted in rural and far-off places, to reach the polling booth well before the closing time. Full day leave should be arranged to them, as per the Corporate Office order.
3. The model ballot paper has already been sent to the CEC members. It must be ensured that, every voter votes carefully. The voting should be made by affixing the SWASTIK SYMBOL within the box of BSNLEU’s election symbol of Cell Phone.

Jabalpur District union of Madhya Pradesh circle organised a Grand election campaign meeting on 7^th October 2022. Many employees participated in this meeting. It is significant to mention that a sizable number of DR JEs and women comrades participated in this meeting and expressed their support for BSNLEU. Com. Raghvendra Arjaria, Conducted the proceedings, Com Lakhan Patel, District President, Jabalpur District, presided over the meeting. Com. B. S. Raghuwanshi, Circle Secretary, Madhya Pradesh delivered the welcome address. The meeting was addressed by Com. John Verghese, Deputy General Secretary, Com. Prakash Sharma, Circle President, and Com.Lakhan Patel, District President, Jabalpur.  Com. John Verghese, Deputy General Secretary, stressed the need for a strong trade union movement in BSNL to safeguard and strengthen BSNL. He explained the Anti PSU policies of the Government, how BSNL is being weakened by the government, by not allowing the Company to adapt 4G and 5G technologies. He also exposed the hollow claims being made regarding the 2nd Revival Package. The Deputy General Secretary listed the achievements of BSNLEU during the past 3 years and urged upon the comrades of Madhya Pradesh circle to massively vote for BSNLEU in the 9^th Membership Verification. Com Prakash Sharma, AGS, Spoke elaborately on BSNLEU’s role in uniting all, the struggles to safe guard BSNL.

On 29^th September, 2022, meeting  was held at Darbhanga Telephone exchange. Com. Ram Kumar Roy, gave the welcome address. Com. B.P. Singh, Circle Secretary and Com. Laxman Kumar, ACS, addressed the meeting. Com.Animesh Mitra, President, CHQ, explained the present situation of BSNL. He narrated the role of NFTE who had opposed the strike call for the 3^rd PRC in the year 2019. Com. Animeesh  Mitra  explained the anti PUS policies of the Government. He called upon the workers of Bihar circle to support BSNLEU with big numbers so that the 50% target can be achieved. Com. Pravash Mishra (Saharsha), Com. Debraj Kumar (Samastipur), Com.Pravash Jha (Madhubani) and Com.Manoj Kumar also addressed the meeting. It was a well arranged meeting with all festivities. The comrades of Darbhanga expressed their satisfaction on the role of CHQ for taking up the issue of PO orders of the left out Regular Mazdoors. Senior leader Com.Kamalesh Mishra presided over the meeting.

The meeting of 9th Membership verification Campaign was held at BSNL Bhavan, Hyderabad on 07.10.2022, under the Presidentship of Com.Nagaraju, District President.  Com. J.Sampath Rao, AGS, BSNLEU, Com.P Bhaskar, GS, CITU, Telangana Circle, Com.G.Sambasiva Rao, CS, BSNLEU, Telangana Circle and Com.Ramachandrudu, CS, AIBDPA, Telangana Circle addressed the meeting. The speakers have spoken about the issues of 4G, anti-BSNL policies of the government.  Issues taken up by CHQ BSNLEU.  Telangana circle is all geared to ensure a land slide victory for BSNLEU. 

For the 9^th Membership verification Com. Nagesh Nalawade, VP, CHQ, Com. Animesh Mitra, President, CHQ, addressed meetings at Aurangabad and Nagpur. At Nagpur this time the employees have agreed to vote ensure victory for  BSNLEU. Circle tour was undertaken by Com.Nagesh Nalawade, President, Maharashtra Circle, accompanied by  Com.Sandeep Gunjkar, ACS, Com.Yusuf Jakati, DS, Pune, Meetings were held in all SSA’s employees participated enthusiastically and agreed to vote out NFTE.
