The JE LICE and TT LICE were held online on 27.08.2023. BSNLEU had long been demanding the Management that, the JE LICE and the TT LICE should be conducted only as offline exams. Even before 27.08.2023, Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, met Shri P.K. Purwar, CMD BSNL and requested that the exams should not be conducted as online exams. However, it was not accepted. BSNLEU has received inputs from various candidates, who have appeared in the JE LICE and the TT LICE, regarding the hardships that they had faced due to the online exams. Hence, BSNLEU has written a letter to the CMD BSNL today, demanding to grant grace marks for the JE LICE and the TT LICE.

Accepting the call of the World Federation of Trade Union (WFTU), the Co-ordination Committee of BSNLEU, AIBDPA and BSNLCCWF is organising country wide demonstrations tomorrow the 18.10.2023. The WFTU is demanding that, the Israeli armed forces should stop it’s attacks on the innocent Palestinian people and the ongoing conflict should be settled through talks. It is important to note that, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has also given this call to Israel. BSNLEU calls upon the circle and district unions to organise tomorrow’s demonstrations effectively and to send the report and photos to the CHQ.

As we have already informed, the Israeli armed forces have rounded up the Gaza Strip of Palestinian and has ordered the 23 lakh Palestinian civilians to immediately get out of Gaza. The Israeli armed forces are planning a massive attack on Gaza which will result in heavy loss of lives. BSNLEU has condemned the attacks launched by the Hamas on the civilians of Israel. But even before that attack, 248 innocent Palestinians have been killed by Israeli army, police and illegal Jewish settlers.  Hereunder we reproduce a statement issued by the World Peace Council about the developments in Palestine. बीएसएनएल प्रबंधन द्वारा मूल्यांकन के कम मानकों को लागू करके असफल एससी/एसटी उम्मीदवारों के परिणामों की समीक्षा करने से इनकार - BSNLEU ने सीएमडी बीएसएनएल को पत्र लिखा।

BSNLEU लगातार प्रबंधन पर दबाव बना रहा है कि डीओपीएंडटी के पत्र संख्या 36012/03/96-Estt.(आरईएस) के अनुसार, मूल्यांकन के कम मानकों को लागू करके असफल एससी/एसटी उम्मीदवारों के परिणामों की समीक्षा की जानी चाहिए। Vol. II दिनांक 03 अक्टूबर 2000. BSNLEU पहले ही इस संबंध में प्रबंधन को चार पत्र लिख चुका है। हालाँकि, अभी तक कोई कार्रवाई नहीं की गई है। इसलिए, BSNLEU ने डीओपीएंडटी और बीएसएनएल कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय के संबंधित आदेशों को संलग्न करके आज सीएमडी बीएसएनएल को एक विस्तृत पत्र लिखा है।

BSNLEU is continuously pressing on the Management, demanding that the results of the failed SC/ST candidates should be reviewed, by applying lesser standards of evaluation, as per the letter of the DoP&T, No.36012/03/96-Estt.(Res.)-Vol.II dated 03rd October, 2000. BSNLEU has already written four letters to the management in this connection. However, no action has been taken so far. Hence, BSNLEU has written a detailed letter to the CMD BSNL today, by enclosing the relevant orders of the DoP&T and the BSNL Corporate Office.

Originally, Medical Allowance was being paid both for the serving employees, as well as for the retired employees. In the year 2010, payment of this Medical Allowance was stopped by the Management. Thereafter, the issue was taken by BSNLEU in the National Council, as a result of which Management agreed for payment of Medical Allowance to the retired employees. However, serving employees are not getting the Medical Allowance. BSNLEU is getting requests and representations from the employees for the restoration of the Medical Allowance. Hence, the CHQ of BSNLEU has written letter to the CMD BSNL, demanding to restore payment of Medical Allowance to the willing serving employees also

As per the call of the WFTU, the Coordination Committee of BSNLEU, AIBDPA and BSNLCCWF has given call to organise demonstrations on 18.10.2023, demanding that the Israeli attacks on the people of Palestine should stop. However, a few miscreants are making the false propaganda that, BSNLEU has given call for demonstration, supporting the terrorist group “Hamas”. This is totally wrong. In this connection, the CHQ of BSNLEU has issued a note on the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday condemned the Hamas attack against Israel but said he was "deeply distressed" by the country's subsequent imposition of a total siege on the Gaza Strip. "The humanitarian situation in Gaza was extremely dire before these hostilities," Guterres told reporters. "Now it will only deteriorate exponentially." Earlier in the day, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said his country would impose a "complete siege" on the long blockaded enclave and stressed what this meant for its 2.3 million people: "No electricity, no food, no water, no gas -- it's all closed."

The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) has given call to it’s affiliates for organising demonstrations /protests, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and against the Israeli attacks on them.  In accordance with this, the Coordination Committee of BSNLEU, AIBDPA and BSNLCCWF has decided to call on the BSNL employees, pensioners and casual / contract workers to organise protest demonstrations on 18.10.2023 throughout the country. CHQ requests all the circle and district unions to organise the programme effectively.
