It is reliably learnt that, the BSNL Board of Directors have approved a proposal for implementing 2nd VRS in BSNL. It is being argued that, 38% of BSNL’s revenue is being spent for paying salary to the employees, which is a huge amount. The BSNL Management and the government are refusing to accept the fact that BSNL’s revenue collection has not shown any significant increase, despite implementation of 3 revival packages. Extreme delay in rolling out BSNL’s 4G service, poor quality of the 4G equipments supplied by the TCS, massive surrendering of FTTH connections due to poor quality of service, are the reasons why BSNL is unable to increase it’s revenue collection substantially. Instead of rectifying the wrong policies of the government and the inefficiency of the BSNL Management, 2nd VRS is being projected as the solution for solving BSNL's financial crises. According to BSNLEU, implementation of 2nd VRS in BSNL is nothing but preparation for converting BSNL into a sick company and for handing it over to the big corporates through privatisation. Being the Main Recognised Trade Union in BSNL, we thought that it is necessary to write to the Management, pointing out that the 2nd VRS is totally unwarranted to BSNL. BSNLEU has written a detailed letter to the CMD BSNL today, demanding that the BSNL Board of Directors should withdraw their decisions to implement 2nd VRS in BSNL.
View letterBSNLEU has been continuously taking up the issue of the career progression of the left out outstanding sports persons. Specifically, BSNLEU has taken up the career progression cases of Ms.Nandita Dutta(West Bengal), Ms.Sumitra Pujari (Assam) and Shri Ravi Kumar (Karnataka). In turn, the Admin. Branch of the Corporate Office wrote letter to the General Secretary of BSNLEU, replying that, all the above mentioned 3 cases were reviewed by the Admin. Branch, but were found to be unfit for career progression. However, details for the rejection of the cases were not explained in the letter. Hence, BSNLEU wrote letter to the PGM(Admin.) BSNL CO, demanding to disclose the details, based on which the three cases of the outstanding sports persons were rejected for career progression. Based on this, the Admin. Branch of the Corporate Office has written letter to the General Secretary, BSNL EU, explaining the details based on which the three cases were rejected. The CHQ is sending copy of the Corporate Office letter to the concerned circle secretaries for information. Copy of the letter is enclosed.

19-12-2024 को वेईज रिविज़न कमिटी की बैठक आयोजित की गई। सामान्यतः वेईज रिविज़न कमिटी की बैठकों के मिनट्स बहुत विलम्ब से जारी किए जाते थे। परन्तु 19-12-2024 को आयोजित बैठक में महासचिव साथी पी. अभिमन्यु ने आग्रह किया कि वेईज रिविज़न कमिटी की बैठकों के मिनट्स शीघ्र जारी किए जाएं। इसके फलस्वरूप कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय की एस.आर. शाखा ने 19-12-2024 को आयोजित वेइज रिविज़न कमिटी की बैठक के मिनट्स शीघ्र जारी कर दिए हैं। मिनट्स की एक प्रति हमारे सभी साथियों की जानकारी के लिए संलग्न है।
