The New Indian Express has reported that, BSNL has lost 8.7 lakh customers in November, 2024, as per the TRAI report. The newspaper reports that, this is the biggest loss for BSNL since the private telecom companies raised their tariffs up to 25% in July 2024. Before the tariff increase by the private companies, BSNL was losing it’s customers heavily every month. But, after the tariff increase, BSNL started gaining customers. 21 lakh new customers came to BSNL in August, 2024, 11 lakh customers in September and 7 lakh customers in October, 2024. But, thereafter, BSNL has started losing customers heavily due to their dissatisfaction with BSNL's network. As per the TRAI report, Airtel has gained 19 lakh customers in October, 2024, but, Jio has lost 37 lakh customers.

वर्तमान आईडीए 224.2% है।

As per Consumer Price Index numbers released by Labour Bureau on 06-01-2025, IDA Rate on 2007-Pay-Scale & Pension is likely to increase by 4.3% w.e.f. 1st January 2025.

Present IDA is 224.2%. 
IDA increase is 4.3%. 
Increased IDA payable w.e.f Jan,2025 is 228.5%

BSNLEU द्वारा 30-12-2024 को सीएमडी बीएसएनएल को बीएसएनएल में दूसरे वीआरएस का विरोध करते हुए लिखा गया पत्र हमारे देश के राष्ट्रीय मीडिया में सनसनीखेज खबर बन गया है। अधिकांश मुख्यधारा के अंग्रेजी अखबारों ने दूसरे वीआरएस का विरोध करने वाले BSNLEU के पत्र को व्यापक कवरेज देते हुए प्रमुख लेख लिखे हैं। द न्यू इंडियन एक्सप्रेस, बिजनेस लाइन, द इकोनॉमिक टाइम्स (दूरसंचार), फाइनेंशियल एक्सप्रेस जैसे अखबारों ने BSNLEU के पत्र को व्यापक कवरेज दिया है और BSNLEU के विचारों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की है। इसके अलावा देशाभिमानी (मलयालम), दिनमणि (तमिल) जैसे कई क्षेत्रीय अखबारों ने भी दूसरे वीआरएस का विरोध करते हुए BSNLEU के विचारों को प्रदर्शित करते हुए लेख लिखे हैं। हम कह सकते हैं कि भारत का राष्ट्रीय मीडिया इस विचार से सहमत है कि सरकार की दोषपूर्ण नीतियां, प्रबंधकीय अक्षमता के साथ मिलकर बीएसएनएल की वर्तमान समस्याओं का मूल कारण हैं। इस संबंध में, डेक्कन हेराल्ड, जो दक्षिण का एक प्रमुख अंग्रेजी समाचार पत्र है, ने भी BSNLEU के पत्र को व्यापक कवरेज देते हुए एक प्रमुख लेख लिखा है। हम यहां 31 दिसंबर, 2024 के डेक्कन हेराल्ड के लेख को पुनः प्रस्तुत कर रहे हैं। BSNLEU बीएसएनएल में दूसरे वीआरएस का विरोध करने वाले BSNLEU के विचारों को व्यापक कवरेज देने के लिए राष्ट्रीय मीडिया का हार्दिक धन्यवाद करता है। 

BSNLEU's letter, written to the CMD BSNL on 30-12-2024, opposing second VRS in BSNL, has become a sensational news in the national media in our country. Most of the mainstream English newspapers wrote prominent articles, giving wide coverage to BSNLEU's letter opposing second VRS. Newspapers like The New Indian Express, Business Line, The Economic Times (Telecom) Financial Express have given wide coverage to BSNLEU's letter, and have discussed BSNLEU's views exhaustively. Apart from this, many regional newspapers like Deshabhimani(Malayalam), Dinamani(Tamil) have also written articles echoing BSNLEU's views, opposing second VRS. We can say, India's national media has agreed with the views that the flawed policies of the government, clubbed with managerial inefficiency are the root cause for the present problems of BSNL. In this connection,  Deccan Herald, which is a leading English newspaper in the south has also written a prominent article giving wide coverage to BSNLEU's letter.
