Important resolutions passed at the BSNLEU CEC meeting held at Vijayawada.

The Central Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU was successfully held at Vijayawada on 05th and 06th July, 2026. The meeting witnessed the enthusiastic participation of CHQ Office Bearers and Circle Secretaries. A total of 47 CEC members deliberated on several important organisational and policy issues during the two-day meeting. The discussions focused on Wage Revision, improvement of BSNL services, the New Non-Executive Promotion Policy (NNEPP), the 10th Membership Verification, revision of perks and allowances, 30% SAB, LICE, Rule-8 & 9 and other issues concerning BSNL employees. Based on the detailed deliberations, the house unanimously adopted the following resolutions on the second day of the CEC meeting:-

  1. The CEC meeting strongly condemns the undue delay by the DoT in approving the Wage Agreement signed in October 2025 and resolves to mobilise BSNL employees in large numbers for the March to Parliament on 07th August, 2026, as called by the Coordination Committee.

  2. The CEC meeting expresses deep concern over the deterioration of BSNL's services and resolves to urge the BSNL Management, the DoT and Members of Parliament to take immediate remedial measures.

  3. The CEC meeting strongly condemns the Management's attack on BSNL employees in the name of the Uttarakhand Pilot Project and demands the immediate rollback of the restructuring of the Uttarakhand Circle.

  4. The CEC meeting strongly condemns the DoT's move to reduce the staff strength in BSNL and resolves to firmly oppose any proposal for a second VRS, as it will further weaken BSNL's workforce and adversely affect the quality of services.

  5. The CEC meeting reiterates its demand that Membership Verification be conducted only through the Secret Ballot system and strongly condemns any attempt by the BSNL Management to conduct it through the check-off system or any other digital process.

  6. The CEC meeting resolves to intensify the struggle for the implementation of the New Non-Executive Promotion Policy (NNEPP) and the revision of perks and allowances. The house strongly condemns the BSNL Management for not functioning of the Committee already constituted for this purpose.

The CEC meeting strongly condemns the Government's move to recruit the CMD of BSNL from the open market or the corporate sector and demands the appointment of a regular CMD committed to strengthening the Company.
