The BSNLEU has expressed strong resentment over the delay in implementing the revised IDA, and has written to the CMD of BSNL demanding immediate payment in the March 2026 salary. The Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) issued the IDA order on 27.02.2026, with effect from 01.01.2026. Subsequently, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) recommended its implementation to BSNL. However, instead of taking prompt action, the Corporate Office unnecessarily referred the file for further clarification, causing widespread dissatisfaction among employees. On 23.03.2026, Com.M. Vijayakumar, President, and Com.Animesh Mitra, General Secretary, met Dr. Kalyan Sagar Nippani, Director (HR) BSNL and conveyed the strong resentment of the staff side, submitting a letter to the management. During subsequent discussions with PGM (Estt.) and PGM (SR), the management informed that the required clarification has now been received from DoT and will be placed before the higher authorities for necessary action.

On 22^nd March, 2026, the Silver Jubilee Celebration of BSNL Employees Union (BSNLEU) was held with great enthusiasm and pride at the historic Dada Ghosh Bhawan, the CHQ Union Office. The occasion turned into a memorable and historic gathering, witnessing massive participation of comrades from various circles including NTR, UP West, Haryana, Corporate Office, UP East and others. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the Union flag by Com. M. Vijayakumar, President, who also presided over the meeting. In his address, he narrated the inspiring journey of BSNLEU since its formation in Visakhapatnam in March 2001, highlighting the struggles, sacrifices and achievements of the organisation over the past 25 years. Com. Animesh Mitra, General Secretary, welcomed the gathering and reflected on the determined and consistent efforts of BSNLEU in safeguarding BSNL and championing the rights and demands of employees. A seminar on the theme “Role of PSUs in the Indian Economy” was a key highlight of the celebration. Senior leader of telecom movement, Com. C. Singh, General Secretary, NFTE BSNL, emphasised the present challenges faced by BSNL and underlined the urgent necessity for united struggles. Com. Animesh Mitra, GS, BSNLEU and Com. Ashwini Kumar, AGS, BSNLEU, delivered insightful speeches on the policies impacting Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). They elaborated on how these policies influence both the national economy and the lives of common people. The speakers highlighted the vital contributions of PSUs such as ONGC, BHEL, State Bank of India and Life Insurance Corporation of India in nation-building and economic growth. They strongly stressed the need to strengthen PSUs, including BSNL, to protect the interests of the country and its people. In the concluding session, union leaders felicitated the office staff, Com.T.A. Biju, Com.Pradeesh.C, Com.Harish Arya, Com.Baijuraj, Com.Rajan who have dedicatedly served the organisation over the last 25 years. Com Animesh Mitra (GS), Com.M.Vijayakumar (President) Com. Ashwin Kumar (AGS), Com. Pradip Kumar (Organising Secretary, CHQ) and Com. Anand Singh (AGS) honoured them with flower bouquets, mementos and shawls as a token of appreciation for their committed service. The programme, held in the historic building of the P&T movement in Delhi, left a deep and lasting impression on all participants, reaffirming the collective resolve to strengthen BSNL and uphold the proud legacy of BSNLEU. Similar programmes have also been observed in various circles and districts.

23 मार्च, 2026 को धरना कार्यक्रम।

बीएसएनएल समन्वय समिति सभी सर्किलों और जिलों से आह्वान करती है कि वे 23 मार्च, 2026 को बीए स्तर पर देशव्यापी धरना कार्यक्रम आयोजित करें। यह कार्यक्रम कर्मचारियों, श्रमिकों और पेंशनभोगियों के सामने आ रही ज्वलंत समस्याओं को उजागर करने के अभियान का एक हिस्सा है। समन्वय समिति ने इस कार्यक्रम के लिए एक मानक पोस्टर लेआउट तैयार किया है। सभी सर्किल और जिला सचिवों से अनुरोध है कि वे इस पोस्टर को डाउनलोड करें और स्थानीय स्तर पर इसकी छपाई की व्यवस्था करें, ताकि यह अभियान प्रभावी हो सके और इसका व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार हो। इसके अलावा, मांगों का एक चार्टर (मांग-पत्र) वाला पैम्फलेट पहले ही सभी सर्किल सचिवों को भेजा जा चुका है, जिसमें निर्देश दिए गए हैं कि वे जिला और शाखा स्तरों पर इसका व्यापक वितरण सुनिश्चित करें। यह कार्यबल की ज्वलंत समस्याओं को उजागर करने, कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों को एकजुट करने, और आवश्यक कार्रवाई के लिए सरकार पर दबाव बनाने हेतु एक महत्वपूर्ण अभियान है। सभी इकाइयों से अनुरोध है कि वे इस कार्यक्रम को पूरी तरह से समन्वित तरीके से और प्रभावी ढंग से आयोजित करें।

The BSNL Coordination Committee calls upon all circles and districts to organise the countrywide dharna programme on 23rd March, 2026 at BA level, as part of a campaign to highlight the burning issues faced by employees, workers, and pensioners. The Coordination Committee has prepared a standard poster layout for the programme. All Circle and District Secretaries are requested to download the poster and arrange local printing to ensure effective campaign and wide publicity. Further, a pamphlet containing the charter of demands has already been circulated to all Circle Secretaries, with instructions to ensure broad distribution among District and Branch levels. This is an important campaign to highlight the burning issues of the workforce, mobilise employees and pensioners and exert pressure on the Government for necessary action. 

BSNLEU is a proud member of the Trade Union International (Transports and Communications), which is a part of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU). The Executive Committee meeting of this Trade Union International (Transports and Communications) was held in Mexico on 19th and 20th March 2026. Com.P.Abhimanyu, who is the Convenor of the Communications Sector of this TUI, took part in this meeting. The meeting was presided over by Com. Ali Riza (Turkey), President of the TUI. Com.Matthiew (France) General Secretary of the TUI, placed before the house, the Declaration of the meeting, as well as the Action Plan for 2026 & 2027. Com.P.Abhimanyu, Convenor of the Communications Sector, participated in the deliberations and spoke in detail about how 30 crore workers of India went on strike on 12^th February, 2026, against the anti-worker and pro-corporate Labour Codes, against privatisation of the Public Sector and other demands of the working class. He explained how BSNL, the Public Sector telecom company in India, is being systematically weakened by the pro-private policies of the government. He underscored the role of telecom technology in the present day geopolitics and called upon the TUI leadership to strengthen the telecom sector trade unions throughout the world. The meeting accepted the proposal of Com.P.Abhimanyu, Convenor, for organising a virtual meeting of the world telecom trade unions on 10th September 2026. After serious deliberations, resolution was passed condemning the strangulation of Cuba by the United States, by way of enforcing an inhuman blockade of oil, medicine, food supplies, etc., to the people of Cuba. The meeting decided to effectively organise a "Global Week of Solidarity With Cuba" from 6th to 12th April 2026. The meeting also condemned the brutal war being waged against Iran by the US and Israel and demanded immediate stoppage of the war. The meeting ended with Com.Ali Riza, President, announcing the decisions taken in the meeting.

अखिल भारतीय केंद्र बैठक के निर्णय – ज़मीनी स्तर पर कार्यान्वयन।
BSNLEU की प्रत्यक्ष अखिल भारतीय केंद्र बैठक, जो 10 मार्च 2026 को आयोजित हुई थी, ने प्रमुख संगठनात्मक और नीतिगत मामलों पर महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिए हैं। इन निर्णयों के संबंध में विस्तृत परिपत्र सीएचक्यू  द्वारा पहले ही जारी किया जा चुका है और डाक द्वारा सभी सर्कल तथा जिला सचिवों को भेज दिया गया है। बैठक की अध्यक्षता साथी  एम. विजयकुमार (अध्यक्ष) ने की, जिसमें समिति के सभी सदस्यों ने भाग लिया। बैठक में जिन महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर चर्चा हुई, उनमें 10वां सदस्यता सत्यापन, रजत जयंती समारोह, BSNLWWCC अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन, उत्तर प्रदेश (पश्चिम) सर्कल का पुनर्चुनाव, सरकारी हमलों के विरुद्ध अभियान, बीएसएनएल की घटती सेवा गुणवत्ता, मानवशक्ति में कमी, AUAB का कामकाज और लंबित सर्कल सम्मेलन शामिल थे। सभी सर्कल और जिला सचिवों से अनुरोध है कि वे इन निर्णयों और कार्यक्रमों को ज़मीनी स्तर पर प्रभावी ढंग से लागू करें, जिससे सदस्यों की सक्रिय भागीदारी सुनिश्चित हो और संगठन मज़बूत हो।
