BSNLEU has once again urged the Management to immediately convene discussions with the recognised unions and associations on the revision of perks and allowances for non-executive employees. A committee for this purpose was constituted in 2025, following the decision of the 40th National Council Meeting held on 13.01.2025, under the chairmanship of the PGM (Estt.). In the Wage Agreement Meeting held on 08.10.2025, the Management informed that the matter was under active consideration. The issue was later discussed by BSNLEU with the Director (HR) and further inputs from the PGM (Estt.) confirm that the committee has already started functioning, with items for consideration also notified by the Establishment Section. Despite this progress, no discussion has yet been held with the recognised unions and associations. BSNLEU has strongly emphasised that such a meeting is essential to place the views and demands of the Non-Executive employees. The union has therefore once again demanded that the Management hold the meeting at the earliest and ensure meaningful consultation on this important issue.
The United States has imposed a harsh and inhuman blockade on Cuba, severely affecting the daily lives of its people. Reports indicate that restrictions on essential supplies such as oil, food and medicines have created a humanitarian crisis. The shortage of fuel has disrupted electricity generation, transportation and healthcare services, leaving hospitals struggling and putting countless lives at risk. This blockade is widely seen as an attempt to force a regime change and undermine Cuba’s sovereignty. Despite these challenges, the Cuban people and their government continue to stand firm with resilience and determination. In this context, the Executive Committee meeting of the Trade Union International (Transport and Communications), held in Mexico on 19th & 20th March 2026, has called upon workers across the world to observe a “Global Week of Solidarity with Cuba” from 6th to 12th April 2026. Responding to this call, the All India Centre of BSNLEU urges all circle and district unions to actively participate by organising demonstrations, gate meetings, hall meetings and other suitable programs during this period. These activities will help express our solidarity with the Cuban people and raise awareness about their ongoing struggles. All Circle unions are requested to finalise their plans in a timely manner and ensure maximum participation of BSNL comrades to make this protest week a grand success.

More viewsBSNLEU has strongly raised the demand for a New Promotion Policy for Non-Executives during the meeting with the Director (HR) on 23.03.2026. The Union highlighted the continuing disparity between EPP and NEPP and urged early resolution as decided in the 40th National Council Meeting held on 13.01.2025. The Management informed that an Anomaly Committee has already been constituted which had already notified by the Corporate Office vide letter No. BSNLCO-A/14(12)/4/2022-ESTAB dated 09.07.2025. However, BSNLEU has strongly objected to the fact that no meeting has been held even after 8 months. All Circle and District Secretaries are requested to send their proposals immediately to CHQ. BSNLEU will press for an early meeting of the Committee with union representatives to settle the issue without further delay.
