DoT Constitutes High-Level Committee on BSNL HR Issues - BSNLEU to Hold Discussions with Unions and Associations.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has constituted a high-level committee to recommend measures on HR issues concerning both executives and non-executives in BSNL, and as per the notification, the committee has been asked to submit its report within three weeks. From the BSNL Management side, only the CMD, BSNL and Director (HR) have been included as members. It may be recalled that, in the meeting held on 7th January 2026 under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, specific directions were issued to DoT regarding the staff strength of BSNL. It is unfortunate that, although the matter directly concerns employees and important HR-related issues, neither BSNL Management nor DoT has sought the views of the recognised Union and Associations. In view of this, BSNL Employees Union will discuss the matter with other Unions and Associations, and a common approach will be submitted to BSNL Management as well as to the Secretary, DoT, on this important issue.
