काम के घंटे 8 घंटे से अधिक बढ़ाने के लिए तमिलनाडु विधानसभा में पारित विधेयक वापस लिया गया है ।
21.04.2023 को कारखानों में काम के घंटे 8 घंटे से बढ़ाकर 12 घंटे करने के लिए, फैक्ट्री अधिनियम में संशोधन करने के लिए, तमिलनाडु राज्य विधानसभा में एक विधेयक पारित किया गया था । सत्तारूढ़ डीएमके के सहयोगी दलों की ओर से भी इस संशोधन का कड़ा विरोध हुआ । सभी केंद्रीय ट्रेड यूनियनों ने संशोधन के खिलाफ 12.05.2023 को तमिलनाडु में एक दिन की हड़ताल की घोषणा की । इन परिस्थितियों में, श्री एम.के. स्टालिन, तमिलनाडु के मुख्यमंत्री ने कल चेन्नई में मई दिवस की बैठक को संबोधित करते हुए घोषणा की कि काम के घंटे बढ़ाने के लिए पारित संशोधन वापस ले लिया गया है ।
On 21.04.2023, a bill was passed in the Tamil Nadu State Assembly, to amend the Factories Act, for increasing the working hours in factories from 8 hours to 12 hours. There was severe opposition to this amendment even from the alliance partners of the ruling DMK. All the Central Trade Unions announced one day strike in Tamil Nadu on 12.05.2023, against the amendment. Under these circumstances, Shri M.K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, while addressing a May Day meeting at Chennai yesterday, announced that the amendment passed to increase the working hours is withdrawn.
