The Circle Executive Committee meeting of UP (East) circle was held at Lucknow on 20.06.2023. The meeting started with flag hoisting and paying homage at the martyrs’ column. Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, hoisted the National Flag and Com.R.K. Mishra, Circle President, hoisted the Union Flag. Com.K.R. Yadav, Circle Secretary, welcomed everyone. The house observed a minute’s silence and paid homage to the departed comrades. Com.R.K. Mishra, Circle President, delivered the presidential address. The report on activities was presented by Com.K.R. Yadav, Circle Secretary. Com. Tilak Raj Tiwari, Vice President (CHQ), addressed the meeting and placed his views for the improvement of the organisation. Thereafter, Com.P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, addressed the meeting and spoke at length on the issues of Wage Revision, inordinate delay in BSNL’s 4G launching, the need for a New Promotion Policy and the Delhi Chalo programme being organised on 07.07.2023. The General Secretary exposed the anti-BSNL, anti-Public Sector and pro-corporate policies of the government and called on the employees to strengthen the unity of the working class. The subjects committee started after the lunch break. All the Executive Committee members participated in the deliberations. Com.K.R. Yadav, Circle Secretary, summed up the deliberations. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, replied to the important All India level issues raised by the members in their deliberations. The meeting unanimously passed a resolution condemning the harassments being meted out by the district administration, against Com.Rakesh Kumar Maurya, District Secretary, BSNLEU, Ghazipur. The meeting took many decisions to strengthen the organisation in UP (East) circle.

In the Circle Executive Committee meeting held at Lucknow yesterday, Com.K.R. Yadav, Circle Secretary, handed over to the General Secretary, an amount of Rs.5,000/-, collected from the members, as donation for the Agricultural Workers Union. Deccan Herald newspaper has written an article today, regarding the accusation made by Jack Dorsey, the Co-founder of Twitter, stating that the government of India forced Twitter to remove the anti- government tweets made during the Farmer’s Agitation. In reply to this, the government has told that, Twitter is having a dubious history. In this connection, the Deccan Herald newspaper has written in the article that, Twitter’s history may not be great, but that does not mean that, the statement made by Jack Dorsey about the government is false. The Punjab circle conference was held at Chandigarh yesterday the 18.06.2023. Com.Sanjeev Kumar, circle president, presided over the conference. Com.H.S. Dhillon, circle secretary, welcomed everyone and presented the report on activities. Com. P. Abhimanyu, General Secretary addressed the conference and spoke in detail about the policies of the government, as a result of which the launching of BSNL‘s 4G/5G services is being delayed unbearably. He further explained about the status of the important issues of Wage Revision, Stagnation, New Promotion Policy, the agitational programmes called on by the Joint Forum, the efforts taken by the CHQ in removing the GMTD Ludhiana, who involved in sexual harassments and to get the JTO LICE results of Punjab circle declared. Thereafter, the delegates session took place. A good number of delegates participated in the lively deliberations. The General Secretary replied to the All India level issues raised by the delegates. Finally, the election of office bearers took place unanimously.

The meeting is attended by 39 executive committee members. Com.Rajeev Chandel, Circle President, presided over the meeting. Com. Com.Animesh Mitra, President, addressed the meeting and explained about the delay in the launching of 4G / 5G services, important decisions of the Bhopal CEC meeting, the present status of Wage Revision, review of the Restructuring, payment of IDA arrears, etc. He also explained about the decisions of the Joint Forum and called on the maximum number of comrades to participate in the Delhi Chalo programme to be held on 07.07.2023. He requested the circle union to strengthen the BSNLWWCC and BSNLCCWF. Com.Jagat Ram Sharma, Organising Secretary (CHQ), also addressed the meeting. Almost all the members participated in the discussions. Com.Tara Chand, Circle Secretary, summed up the discussions. The meeting took important decisions to strengthen the Organisation in Himachal Pradesh circle.
