The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) has given call to it’s affiliates for organising demonstrations /protests, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and against the Israeli attacks on them.  In accordance with this, the Coordination Committee of BSNLEU, AIBDPA and BSNLCCWF has decided to call on the BSNL employees, pensioners and casual / contract workers to organise protest demonstrations on 18.10.2023 throughout the country. CHQ requests all the circle and district unions to organise the programme effectively.

The Maharashtra circle committee of BSNLWWCC is held at Solapur today. Com.Nagesh Kumar Nalawade, Circle President, BSNLEU, Maharashtra circle, presided over the meeting. Com.Suchitra Patankar, Circle Convenor, BSNLWWCC, Maharashtra circle, welcomed everyone and presented the report on activities. Com.Amita Naik, All India Joint Convenor, BSNLWWCC, addressed the meeting. A good number of comrades participated in the deliberations. The meeting resolved to implement the decisions taken in the Circle Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU, held at Solapur yesterday and today.

The two day Circle Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU, Maharashtra circle, is being held at Solapur. The meeting started with the open session today. Com.Nagesh Kumar Nalawade, Circle President, presided over the meeting. Com.Ganesh Hinge, Circle Secretary, welcomed everyone. The meeting addressed by Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, Com.Nagesh Kumar Nalawade, CP & Vice President (CHQ), Com.John Verghese, Dy.GS, Com.Yusuf Hussein, Circle Secretary, BSNL CCWF, Com.Sujithra Patankar, Circle Convenor, BSNL Working Women’s Coordination Committee and com.Yusaf Jakati, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA. In his address, the General Secretary elaborately spoke on the government’s policy which had unduly delayed BSNL’s 4G & 5G launching, He explained about the stalemate created by the Management in the settlement of Wage Revision and on the decisions of the Joint Forum to mobilise the employees for serious struggle. The General Secretary also emphasised the need for a united struggle by the Executives and Non-Executives to settle the Wage Revision issue. Earlier the representatives of SNEA, AIGETOA and Jai Bhim SEWA BSNL, welcomed the General Secretary by offering bouquet. The circle Executive Committee meeting is continuing with deliberations by the Circle Executive Committee members.
