The BSNL Management has imposed an indefinite ban on Compassionate Ground Appointments(CGA). BSNLEU is continuously raising this issue with the Management, demanding that the ban on CGA should be lifted / relaxed to give appointment to the families of the deceased employees, which are in extremely pathetic condition. BSNLEU is continuing with its efforts to at least relax the ban. Today once again, BSNLEU has written a letter to the CMD BSNL, demanding to lift / relax the ban on CGA, by enclosing a CGA case recommended by the CGM, AP circle. 

“This is part of the government of India’s efforts to build indigenous telecom technology and local manufacturing of telecom gear. TCS and its partners have integrated the EPC Core, RAN (Radio Access Network) and NMS (Network Management Software), and have started the roll-out of the network, which is expected to be completed in stages over the next 18 months,” said Krithivasan.

Israel’s siege of Gaza has entered the 11th day. 2.3 million people have no drinking water or food in Gaza. At this juncture, US president Joe Biden is visiting Israel and is confirming US’s support to Israel. In the US Security Council, Brazil put forth the resolution which calls for humanitarian access and protection of civilians in Gaza, the immediate release of Israeli hostages and condemned Hamas’s terrorist attack on Israel. However, the US used its “veto” power against the resolution and stopped it from being passed.

The JTO LICE results for the vacancy year 2014-15 are not declared in Punjab circle, due to the pendency of court case. However, this case has been dismissed as withdrawn on 11-10-2023. Now the Punjab circle administration is at its liberty to declare the JTO LICE results of the vacancy year 2014-15. At this juncture, BSNLEU has written a letter to the Director (HR) today, requesting to declare the JTO LICE results of 2014-15, by carrying forward 18 OC posts and 58, SC post, which remained unfilled in the JTO LICE conducted for the vacancy year 2013-14.
