CHQ has already informed that, polling could not take place in 3 booths of Kolkata Telephones circle yesterday, due to interruptions caused by unruly elements. BSNLEU made a written complaint to the Chief Returning Officer. Based on this, the Corporate Office has ordered that, polling in those 3 booths will take place today the 17.09.2019. We appreciate the prompt action taken by the Chief Returning Officer.
view letterIt may be recollected that, the negotiation on Wage Revision of the Non-Executives, between the BSNL Management and the Recognised Unions, has been stopped temporarily. BSNLEU and NFTE, vide it’s letter dated 14.05.2019, addressed to the Secretary, Telecom, had strongly demanded that the Wage Negotiation should resume. In reply, much belatedly, the BSNL Management has written to the General Secretaries of BSNLEU and NFTE, stating that wage negotiation could not be conducted since the Recognition period of both the unions had lapsed. It is also informed that the wage negotiation would resume after granting of recognition through the 8thMembership Verification process.
View letterBSNLEU has been seriously taking up the case of left out officials of Assam circle, to whom Presidential Orders has to be issued by the DoT. As a result of our consistent persuasion, finally the DoT has now conveyed it's approval for the issuing of Presidential Orders to 31 officials. The Presidential Orders will now be issued by the Director (Establishment), nominated in Assam circle.
