As all comrades are aware that, the DoT has issued letter on 10.11.2023 for the taking over of the ALTTC. This is nothing but utter violation of the decision of the Union Cabinet, vide which the assets and liabilities of the DTS / DTO have been transferred to BSNL. The AUAB has immediately written letter to the Secretary, Telecom, demanding to cancel this order. Since, no response is received from the DoT, the AUAB has decided to call on the Executives and Non-Executives of BSNL to organise powerful lunch hour demonstrations on 11.12.2023, demanding immediate cancellation of the DoT order. All circle and district unions are requested to coordinate with the other constituents of the AUAB and to organise the demonstration massively.

नारायण मूर्ति प्रति सप्ताह कामकाज के घंटों को 48 घंटे से बढ़ाकर 70 घंटे करना चाहते हैं।

भारतीय श्रम कानून के अनुसार एक श्रमिक को प्रतिदिन 8 घंटे काम करना होता है जो प्रति सप्ताह 48 घंटे होता है। जैसा कि हमारे साथियों को पता है, *8 घंटे का कार्य दिवस* श्रमिक वर्ग को लंबे संघर्षों के बाद ही प्राप्त हुआ है, जो वर्ष 1886 में शिकागो में शुरू हुआ था। अब, वर्ल्ड फेडरेशन ऑफ ट्रेड यूनियंस (डब्ल्यूएफटीयू) ने मांग की है कि श्रमिक वर्ग प्रति दिन घंटे को घटाकर 7 घंटे किया जाना चाहिए और प्रति सप्ताह केवल 5 कार्य दिवस होने चाहिए। इसका मतलब है प्रति सप्ताह केवल 35 कार्य घंटे। डब्ल्यूएफटीयू ने पिछले मई में रोम में आयोजित अपनी 18वीं कांग्रेस में यह मांग उठाई है। इन परिस्थितियों में, इंफोसिस के सह-संस्थापक और भारत के कॉरपोरेट्स में से एक नारायण मूर्ति ने मांग की है कि प्रति सप्ताह काम के घंटे को बढ़ाकर 70 घंटे प्रति सप्ताह किया जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने यह भी सलाह दी है कि भारतीय कामगार को आलसी नहीं होना चाहिए। नारायण मूर्ति ने कहा, प्रति सप्ताह 70 घंटे काम लागू करने से हमारे देश की उत्पादकता बढ़ेगी। भारतीय कामगारों से प्रति सप्ताह 70 घंटे काम करवाकर नारायण मूर्ति केवल कॉरपोरेट्स की संपत्ति बढ़ाना चाहते हैं। शीर्ष 1% भारतीयों के पास पहले से ही भारत की 40 प्रतिशत संपत्ति है। साथ ही, अधिकांश नियमित कर्मचारी पहले से ही बहुत कम वेतन वाले कोंट्राक्ट श्रमिकों में परिवर्तित हो चुके हैं। नारायण मूर्ति साप्ताहिक कामकाजी घंटों को 48 घंटे से बढ़ाकर 70 घंटे करके श्रमिकों के शोषण को और बढ़ाना चाहते हैं। 

पंजाब सर्कल के जेटीओ एलआईसीई के सफल उम्मीदवारों के लिए प्रशिक्षण। 

वेकेन्सी वर्ष 2014-15 के लिए पंजाब सर्कल में आयोजित जेटीओ एलआईसीई के परिणाम अदालती मामले के कारण घोषित नहीं किए गए थे। हाल ही में, अदालती मामला समाप्त हो गया है और वेकेन्सी वर्ष 2014-15 के लिए आयोजित जेटीओ एलआईसीई में 29 उम्मीदवारों को सफल घोषित किया गया है। हालाँकि, इन उम्मीदवारों को अब तक इंडक्शन ट्रेनिंग के लिए नहीं भेजा गया है। साथी पी. अभिमन्यु, महासचिव ने आज सुश्री समिता लूथरा, जनरल मैनेजर (Rectt) के साथ इस मामले पर चर्चा की। महासचिव ने पंजाब सर्कल के सफल उम्मीदवारों के लिए शीघ्र ट्रेनिंग का अनुरोध किया। जनरल मैनेजर (Rectt) ने आश्वासन दिया कि आवश्यक कार्रवाई की जायेगी। 

As per the Indian Labour Law, a worker has to work for 8 hours a day which comes to 48 hours per week. As our comrades know, the 8 hour working day has been achieved by the working class only after prolonged struggles, which started in Chicago in the year 1886. Now, the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) has demanded that, the working hour per day should be reduced to 7 and there should be only 5 working days per week. It means only 35 working hours per week. The WFTU has raised this demand in its 18th Congress held in Rome in last of May. Under these circumstances, Narayana Murthy, co-founder of Infosys and one of the corporates of India, has demanded that the working hours per week should be increased to 70 hours per week. He has also advised that the Indian worker should not be lazy. By implementing 70 hour work per week, the productivity of our country will increase, said Narayana Murthy. By making the Indian worker to work for 70 hours per week, Narayana Murthy only wants to increase the wealth of the corporates. Already the top 1% Indians are having 40 percent of India’s wealth in their hands. At the same time, most of the regular workers are already converted into contract workers with very meagre wages. Narayana Murthy wants to further increase the exploitation of the workers by increasing the weekly working hours from 48 to 70. 

The results of the JTO LICE held in Punjab circle, for the vacancy year 2014-15, were not declared due to court case. Recently, the court case has come to an end and 29 candidates are declared successful in the JTO LICE held for the vacancy year 2014-15. However, these candidates are not sent for induction training so far. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, discussed this case with Ms. Samita Luthra, GM (Rectt.) today. The General Secretary requested for early training for the successful Punjab circle candidates. The GM(Rectt.) assured that necessary action would be taken.

सिल्कयारा सुरंग का ढहना - सुरक्षा उपायों की अनदेखी के लिए कड़ी कार्रवाई करें - सीआईटीयू की मांग।

उत्तरकाशी में ढही सिल्क्यारा सुरंग से 41 निर्माण श्रमिकों को बचाए जाने पर पूरे देश ने राहत की सांस ली। सुरंग ढहने की जांच के लिए गठित विशेषज्ञ समिति के एक सदस्य ने गुमनामी के तहत पहले ही कहा है कि, सिल्क्यारा सुरंग निर्माण में भागने का मार्ग प्रदान करने के सुरक्षा उपाय की अनदेखी की गई थी। ठेकेदार हैदराबाद स्थित नवयोग इंजीनियरिंग कंपनी है। यही कंपनी नागपुर-मुंबई समृद्धि एक्सप्रेसवे का निर्माण कर रही है। केवल 3 महीने पहले ही एक क्रेन के ढहकर मजदूरों पर गिरने से 20 निर्माण मजदूरों की मौत हो गई थी। यह चिंताजनक तथ्य है कि मुनाफे के भूखे ठेकेदारों को मजदूरों की सुरक्षा की कोई परवाह नहीं है। दुर्भाग्य से भ्रष्ट नौकरशाह भी ठेकेदारों के साथ मिल रहे हैं। इसी पृष्ठभूमि में, सीआईटीयू ने एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति जारी कर सुरंग ढहने की गहन जांच करने और सुरक्षा उपायों की अनदेखी करने वालों पर कड़ी कार्रवाई करने की मांग की है। सीआईटीयू का प्रेस वक्तव्य सभी साथियों की जानकारी के लिए संलग्न है। 

The entire nation heaved a sigh of relief when the 41 construction workers were rescued from the collapsed Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi. A member of the Expert Committee, formed to enquire into the tunnel collapse has already stated under anonymity that, the safety measure of providing an escape route was ignored in the Silkyara tunnel construction. The contractor is the Hyderabad based Navayoga Engineering Company. The same company is constructing the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway. Only 3 months ago, 20 construction workers were killed when a crane collapsed and fell on the workers. It is an alarming fact that, the profit hungry contractors do not care about the safety of the workers. Unfortunately, the corrupt bureaucrats are also collaborating with the contractors.  It is in this backdrop that, CITU has issued a press release demanding thorough probe into the tunnel collapse and to take stringent action on those who ignored the safety measures.
