A meeting of the Joint Forum was held online on 15.05.2023. The meeting seriously discussed about the issues of non-implementation of Wage Revision, inordinate delay in launching BSNL’s 4G & 5G and also implementation of a New Promotion Policy for the Non-Executives. The meeting unanimously decided to organise the following programmes demanding settlement of the issues.

1. 01.06.2023                – Organising Human Chain programme with placards - In all district headquarters.

2. 14.06.2023                – March to Governors’ Residence and submission of memorandum - In all circle headquarters.

3. 26.06.2023                – Delhi Chalo – Massive mobilisation to be made at New Delhi.

Copy of the circular of the Joint Forum is enclosed. All the circle and district secretaries of BSNLEU are requested to successfully implement the programmes, with the widest mobilisation.

01.06.2023 से स्वैच्छिक समूह स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना-Voluntary Group Health Insurance Scheme का कार्यान्वयन।

प्रबंधन बीएसएनएल कर्मचारियों के लिए 01.06.2023 से एक स्वैच्छिक समूह स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना लागू कर रहा है। इसके लिए ओरिएंटल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी के साथ समजौता किया गया है। इस योजना में शामिल होने के लिए विकल्प जमा करने की तिथि 15.05.2023 से शुरू होती है और 21.05.2023 को बंद रहेगी। विकल्प देने के बाद यदि कोई कर्मचारी वापस लेना चाहता है तो 22.05.2023 से 23.05.2023 तक वापस किया जा सकता है।

रु. 5 लाख की पॉलिसी के लिए प्रीमियम राशि इस प्रकार होगी :

(1) स्वयं + पति/पत्नी = 23,002/- रुपये. 

(2) स्वयं + पति/पत्नी + 3 बच्चे = 24,222 / - रुपये. 

(3) स्वयं + पति/पत्नी + 3 बच्चे + 1 माता/पिता =  40,011 रुपये. 

(4) स्वयं + पति/पत्नी + 3 बच्चे + 2 माता और पिता =  55,495 रू.

Management is implementing a Voluntary Group Health Insurance Scheme from 01.06.2023, for BSNL employees. A tie-up for this, is made with Oriental Insurance Company. Date for submission of option for joining this scheme starts on 15.05.2023 and will be closed on 21.05.2023. After giving option, if any employees wants to withdraw, it can be done from 22.05.2023 to 23.05.2023.

For a Rs.5 lakh policy, some of the premium amount will be as follows:- 

1. Self + spouse = Rs.23,002/-
2. Self + spouse + 3 children =  Rs.24,222/-
3. Self + spouse + 3 children + 1 parent =  Rs.40,011/-
4. Self + spouse + 3 children + 2 parents =  Rs.55,495/-

In the Formal Meeting held with the Director(HR) on 10-05-2023, BSNLEU pointed out that, at present, the JEs have  to complete 5 years of service to appear in the JTO LICE. The Union also pointed out that the qualifying service for even appearing in the MT examination is only 4 years. Hence, BSNLEU strongly demanded that, the qualifying service of JEs, for appearing in the JTO LICE, should be reduced from 5 years to 4 years. The Director (HR) replied that, this demand would be looked into.

15.05.2023 is the last date for submission of self-appraisal for E-APAR. Our comrades from some circles have demanded that this last date should be extended by a few days. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, discussed this issue with Shri S.N. Gupta, GM(Pers.), BSNL CO., today and demanded to extend the last date by a few days. The GM (Pers.) kindly agreed to consider the demand.
