Earlier, the JE cadre was an SSA cadre. Entire JEs were treated as SSA cadre. However, subsequently, the JE cadre was divided into two parts. Those JEs recruited prior to 2014 are treated as SSA cadre. The JEs recruited after 2014 are treated as circle cadre. This duality in the status of the JE cadre has not benefited the Organisation in any manner. However, this division has created confusion and is not being liked by the JEs. Today BSNLEU has written letter to the Director (HR), demanding to take action to ensure that, the entire JE cadre is treated as the district cadre.

BSNLEU has written letter to the Director (HR) today, requesting to give appointment for a meeting to discuss the following items.
- Requesting to break the deadlock prevailing in the negotiations for the Wage Revision of the Non-executives.
- Requesting to review the norms for the sanctioning of posts in various cadres, in respect of circles having hilly and far-flung terrains.
- Lack of fairplay and transparency in the selection of coaches by the Sports Cell of the Corporate Office.
- Directing the Non-Executives to mark attendance through Mobile App in Kerala circle – BSNLEU strongly opposes it.
- JTO(OL) LICE held in February, 2024- requesting to consider posting the willing qualified candidates in other circles where posts remain unfilled.
- Hardships experienced by the candidates in the recently conducted LICEs.
After implementation of the VRS, the Corporate Office has issued revised norms for the sanctioning of posts in various cadres. In this, no difference is made between the circles with hilly and far-flung terrains and the circles located in the plains. Many parts of the circles like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir, remain snow-laden for many months of the year. Similarly, the North-Eastern circles are having far-flung terrains. Naturally, more manpower is required to man the services in the above mentioned circles with hilly and far-flung terrains. BSNLEU has written letter to the Director (HR) today, requesting him consider issuing revised norms, for the sanctioning of posts in various cadres, in respect of the above mentioned circles with the hilly and far-flung terrains.

वीआरएस के क्रियान्वयन के बाद, कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय ने विभिन्न संवर्गों में पदों की स्वीकृति के लिए संशोधित मानदंड जारी किए हैं। इसमें पहाड़ी और दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों वाले सर्किलों और मैदानी क्षेत्रों में स्थित सर्किलों के बीच कोई अंतर नहीं किया गया है। हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड और जम्मू-कश्मीर जैसे सर्किलों के कई हिस्से साल के कई महीनों तक बर्फ से ढके रहते हैं। इसी तरह, उत्तर-पूर्वी सर्किलों में दूरदराज के क्षेत्र हैं। स्वाभाविक रूप से, पहाड़ी और दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों वाले उपर्युक्त सर्किलों में सेवाओं को चलाने के लिए अधिक मानव संसाधनों की आवश्यकता है। BSNLEU ने आज निदेशक (मानव संसाधन) को पत्र लिखकर अनुरोध किया है कि वे पहाड़ी और दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों वाले उपर्युक्त सर्किलों के संबंध में विभिन्न संवर्गों में पदों की स्वीकृति के लिए संशोधित मानदंड जारी करने पर विचार करें।
