The pensioners of BSNL and MTNL under the banner of CBMPA have decided to organise dharna programmes at CCA/DoT/BSNL offices throughout the country on 20.05.2026. BSNLEU has already instructed all Circle and District Secretaries to ensure maximum participation of BSNLEU members in the pensioners’ gatherings. In the last meeting of AUAB, it was also decided to extend active support and solidarity to the programme, as the pensioners are fighting on the same demands.

The Corporate Office Management has taken an indifferent attitude towards settling the issues of Non-Executive employees, despite these matters having been discussed on several occasions, including in the National Council meetings and Formal Meetings with the Director (HR). The undue delay in resolving these long-pending issues has created serious resentment and disappointment among the Non-Executive staff across the country. In this regard, BSNLEU has written a letter to the CMD BSNL seeking immediate intervention for the early settlement of the pending issues. The union has highlighted certain specific and important issues requiring urgent attention and resolution in the interest of the employees and the smooth functioning of the organisation. Today the 12th May, 2026, the DOT issued order for the extension of the charge of CMD BSNL, assigned to Shri Ravi A Robert Jerard, for a further period of Six months w.e.f 15.4.2026.

Take all-out preparations for the Protest Chain programme on 20th May 2026, as the IDA Arrear- related file has still not been replied to by the Management at Corporate Office. On last Friday, CHQ had received the information that the management is collecting inputs from the Board Members regarding payment of the IDA arrears along with the salary for May 2026. However, it is unfortunate that the DoT is still waiting for a reply from the BSNL Management. Under these circumstances, all circles and districts are requested to intensify preparations and ensure the grand success of the Protest Chain programme on 20th May 2026. Unity and struggle will ensure our success.
