The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to amend Labour Laws to increase the working hours to 10 hours per day in all private firms and factories. The AP government has said that, this step was taken to attract more investments and industries. BSNLEU strongly condemns this decision of the Andhra Pradesh government and demands to drop the plan. The Chandrababu Naidu government is only full filling the desire of the capitalist class. This is not an isolate development in Andhra Pradesh state alone. The Modi government has abolished all the existing 29 labour laws and in their place is bringing four Labour Codes. If these 4 Labour Codes are implemented, then the present system of 8 hours working- day will come to an end. So, what is happening in Andhra Pradesh is only a trailer. Infosys founder Narayana Murthy has already demanded that, working hours should be increased to 70 hours per week. Similarly, the L&T chairman, S.M Subramanian, has already demanded that, workers should work for 90 hours per week. The capitalist class and the government want to convert workers into slave. The 10 Central Trade Unions have given call for General Strike on 9th July, 2025, against these anti- worker measures. Let us fully participate in the General Strike and make it a total success.

However, the Sports Cell of the Corporate Office has arbitrarily denied career progression to the outstanding sports personnel, who are eligible as per the Corporate Office orders. Today, BSNLEU has once again written letter to the PGM(Admn.) requesting to review it’s decision to deny career progression to Com.Nandita Datta of West Bengal circle.

बेंगलुरू में जीत के जश्न में 11 लोगों की मौत – BSNLEU ने मौतों पर शोक जताया।

एक हृदय विदारक घटना में, कल बेंगलुरू में मची भगदड़ में 11 लोगों की मौत हो गई। मृतकों में 4 महिलाएं और 2 बच्चे शामिल हैं। अन्य 33 लोग घायल हुए हैं, जिन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है। आईपीएल टूर्नामेंट के फाइनल में रॉयल चैलेंजर्स ऑफ बेंगलुरू (आरसीबी) टीम की जीत के उपलक्ष्य में बेंगलुरू में आयोजित जीत के जश्न में भगदड़ मच गई। BSNLEU ने निर्दोष लोगों की मौत पर शोक जताया है और मृतकों के परिवारों के प्रति अपनी हार्दिक संवेदना व्यक्त की है।

न्यायाधीशों द्वारा सेवानिवृत्ति के तुरंत बाद सरकारी पद ग्रहण करना नैतिक चिंता का विषय है- भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति बी.आर. गवई ने कहा।

जैसा कि हम जानते हैं, पिछले साल कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय के न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति अभिजीत गांगुली ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया था और भाजपा उम्मीदवार के रूप में संसद का चुनाव लड़ा था। भारत के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति रंजन गोगोई को उनकी सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद सरकार द्वारा राज्यसभा सदस्य के रूप में नामित किया गया था। केंद्र सरकार द्वारा सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के कुछ न्यायाधीशों को उनकी सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद राज्यों का राज्यपाल नियुक्त किया गया है। आम लोगों का मानना ​​है कि यह कुछ और नहीं बल्कि सरकार द्वारा सत्तारूढ़ पार्टी के पक्ष में निर्णय प्राप्त करने के लिए उच्च न्यायालय और सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के न्यायाधीशों को प्रभावित करना है। इन परिस्थितियों में, भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति बी.आर. गवई ने कहा है कि सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद न्यायाधीशों द्वारा सरकारी पद ग्रहण करना नैतिक चिंता का विषय है। यह भारत के वर्तमान मुख्य न्यायाधीश का एक महत्वपूर्ण बयान है। पिछले मंगलवार को ब्रिटेन के सर्वोच्च न्यायालय द्वारा आयोजित एक सेमिनार में व्याख्यान देते हुए न्यायमूर्ति बी.आर. गवई ने कहा, “यदि कोई न्यायाधीश सेवानिवृत्ति के तुरंत बाद सरकार में कोई अन्य पद ग्रहण कर लेता है, या चुनाव लड़ने के लिए पद से इस्तीफा दे देता है, तो यह महत्वपूर्ण नैतिक चिंताएं उत्पन्न करता है और सार्वजनिक जांच को आमंत्रित करता है।”

As we know, last year, Calcutta High Court judge, Justice Abhijit Ganguly resigned from the post and contested Parliament election as a BJP candidate. The former Chief Justice of India, Justice Ranjan Gogoi, was nominated as a Rajya Sabha member by the government, after his retirement. Some Supreme Court judges have been appointed as governors of states, by the Central Government, after their retirements. The public view that this is nothing but the government influencing judges of the High Court and Supreme Court, to get judgements in favour of the ruling party. Under these circumstances, the Chief Justice of India, Justice B.R. Gavai, has told that judges taking up government posts after retirement, have raised ethical concerns. This is a significant statement by the sitting Chief Justice of India. Delivering lecture in a seminar organised by the Supreme Court of the UK last Tuesday, Justice B.R. Gavai said, “if a judge takes up another appointment with the government immediately after retirement, or resigns from the post to contest elections, it raises significant ethical concerns and invites public scrutiny.”
