The March to Parliament programme has been scheduled to be held in New Delhi on 07th August 2026. An online meeting of the BSNL Coordination Committee comprising BSNLEU, AIBDPA and BSNLCCWF was held on 23.07.2026 to review the preparation of the programme. The meeting was presided over by Com. R. Muraleedharan Nair, Chairman, while Com. Animesh Mitra, Convenor, presented a detailed report on the preparations for the Parliament March. At the outset, the Committee expressed its satisfaction over the resounding success of the nationwide demonstration held on 16th July 2026 and the three-day dharna conducted from 22nd to 24th July 2026. The Committee highly appreciated the enthusiastic participation of regular employees, pensioners, and casual/contract workers in both programmes, which reflected the growing unity and determination of the BSNL workforce. After detailed deliberations, the Committee finalised the arrangements for the 07th August March to Parliament, with special emphasis on accommodation, publicity, the Twitter campaign, mobilisation and other organisational matters to ensure the success of the programme. A copy of the circular containing the decisions of the Coordination Committee is attached for wide circulation among all CEC members and district secretaries.

Regarding conducting the 10th Membership Verification, Shri Kalyan Sagar Nippani, Director(HR), conducted a meeting yesterday the 24-07-2026. Representatives of BSNLEU, NFTE, FNTO, BTEU, BSNL MS and ATM participated in this meeting. BSNLEU was represented by Com.Animesh Mitra, General Secretary and Com.P.Abhimanyu, Vice- President. The Director(HR) informed the participants that, the BSNL Management wanted to conduct the 10th Membership Verification electronically and that the employees could register their votes by using their mobile phones. All the unions vehemently opposed this and stated that, this type of voting through mobile phones is prone to manipulations. All the unions strongly demanded that, the 10th Membership Verification should be conducted either through ballot papers or by using the Electronic Voting Machines(EVMs). Finally, the Director (HR) stated that, the matter would be discussed by the top Management for taking further decision.

Com.Animesh Mitra, General Secretary and Com.P.Abhimanyu, Vice-President met Shri S.P.Singh, PGM (Recruitment) yesterday and discussed the issue of inordinate delay in holding the LICEs for the Non-Executives. BSNLEU is continuously highlighting that, the holding of the JE LICE, TT LICE and JAO LICE has been inordinately delayed. The PGM(Rectt.) replied that registration for the TT LICE would start soon and that necessary action is being taken to hold the JE LICE at the earliest. As regards the JAO LICE, the PGM(Rectt ) replied that necessary inputs regarding vacancy position have not been received from all the circles. The leaders urged upon the PGM(Rectt.) to expeditiously conduct all these examinations.

The indifferent attitude of the BSNL Management towards implementing the Uttarakhand Pilot Project has created widespread resentment among employees across all cadres. The issue was reviewed in the last meeting of the AUAB, where all constituent unions strongly expressed the need to launch an immediate agitational programme against the arbitrary implementation of the project. It has also come to the notice of the AUAB that the administration in certain circles has initiated administrative restructuring on the lines of the Uttarakhand Pilot Project, further aggravating employees' concerns. In view of this, the AUAB has served a notice of agitational programme to the CMD BSNL on 20th July, 2026, expressing its strong protest against the unilateral actions of the Management. The AUAB calls upon all Executives and Non-Executives to actively participate in and make the agitational programme a grand success. The notice of the agitational programme is enclosed herewith.
