Vijayawada CEC Gives a Powerful Call to BSNL Employees – Mobilise for the "March to Parliament" and Intensify the Nationwide Agitation for Wage Revision and Protection of BSNL!

The two-day Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting of BSNL Employees Union (BSNLEU) began on 5th July, 2026, at Vijayawada, jointly hosted by the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Circles. CEC members from across the country are attending the meeting, which will conclude on 6th July.

The inaugural session was presided over by Com. M. Vijayakumar, President, BSNLEU, who spoke on the current political and economic situation and called upon employees to actively participate in the countrywide struggles of workers and farmers.

The meeting was inaugurated by Com. Nageshwar Rao, State Secretary, CITU, Andhra Pradesh, who highlighted the challenges facing the working class and urged employees to strengthen united struggles to protect BSNL and the public sector.

Com. Animesh Mitra, General Secretary, BSNLEU, and Com. P. Abhimanyu, Vice President, BSNLEU, spoke on the wage revision of non-executives, the proposed “March to Parliament” programme, Membership Verification, long-pending issues, organisational restructuring, and the need to strengthen BSNL. They have also criticised the Central Government’s policies, saying that repeated attempts are being made to weaken BSNL and erode workers’ rights. They called upon employees to remain united and intensify struggles against these anti-worker and anti-public sector policies.

Com. Ashoka Babu, Former Deputy General Secretary, BSNLEU, and Com. Sampat Rao, Assistant General Secretary, also addressed the delegates. They stressed the need to strengthen unity and consolidate the organisation to meet the challenges before BSNL and its employees.

The first day's proceedings concluded with enthusiastic participation from delegates representing different parts of the country. The House conveyed its Red Salute and Warm Greetings to the comrades of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Circles for successfully hosting the CEC meeting at Vijayawada.

बीएसएनएल एम्प्लॉइज़ यूनियन (BSNLEU) की दो दिवसीय सेंट्रल एग्जीक्यूटिव कमेटी (CEC) की बैठक 5 जुलाई, 2026 को विजयवाड़ा में शुरू हुई, जिसकी मेज़बानी संयुक्त रूप से आंध्र प्रदेश और तेलंगाना सर्किलों ने की। देश भर से सीईसी सदस्य इस बैठक में भाग ले रहे हैं, जो 6 जुलाई को समाप्त होगी।

 उद्घाटन सत्र की अध्यक्षता BSNLEU के अध्यक्ष साथी  एम. विजयकुमार ने की। उन्होंने मौजूदा राजनीतिक और आर्थिक स्थिति पर बात की और कर्मचारियों से मज़दूरों और किसानों के देशव्यापी संघर्षों में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लेने का आह्वान किया। बैठक का उद्घाटन CITU, आंध्र प्रदेश के राज्य सचिव साथी  नागेश्वर राव ने किया। उन्होंने मज़दूर वर्ग के सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों पर प्रकाश डाला और कर्मचारियों से बीएसएनएल और सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की सुरक्षा के लिए एकजुट संघर्ष को मज़बूत करने का आग्रह किया।

 BSNLEU के महासचिव साथी  अनिमेष मित्रा और उपाध्यक्ष साथी  पी. अभिमन्यु ने नॉन-एग्जीक्यूटिव्स के वेतन संशोधन, प्रस्तावित "संसद मार्च" कार्यक्रम, सदस्यता सत्यापन, लंबे समय से लंबित मुद्दों, संगठनात्मक पुनर्गठन और बीएसएनएल को मज़बूत करने की आवश्यकता पर बात की। उन्होंने केंद्र सरकार की नीतियों की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि बीएसएनएल को कमज़ोर करने और मज़दूरों के अधिकारों को खत्म करने की बार-बार कोशिशें की जा रही हैं। उन्होंने कर्मचारियों से एकजुट रहने और इन मज़दूर-विरोधी व सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र-विरोधी नीतियों के ख़िलाफ़ संघर्ष को तेज़ करने का आह्वान किया।

BSNLEU के पूर्व उप-महासचिव साथी  अशोक बाबू और सहायक महासचिव साथी  संपत राव ने भी प्रतिनिधियों को संबोधित किया। उन्होंने बीएसएनएल और उसके कर्मचारियों के सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए एकता को मज़बूत करने और संगठन को सुदृढ़ करने की आवश्यकता पर ज़ोर दिया।

पहले दिन की कार्यवाही देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों से आए प्रतिनिधियों की उत्साहपूर्ण भागीदारी के साथ संपन्न हुई। सभा ने विजयवाड़ा में सीईसी बैठक की सफल मेज़बानी के लिए आंध्र प्रदेश और तेलंगाना सर्किलों के साथियों को 'लाल सलाम' और हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ दीं।
