The Karnataka Circle conference of BSNLEU was held enthusiastically on 5th and 6th March, 2023 at Bengaluru. Com.C.K.Gundanna, Circle President presided over. Com. H.V. Sudharshan, circle secretary, welcomed everyone and presented the report on activities. The audited accounts were presented by Com.Murali, Circle Treasurer. Com.P. Abhimanyu, GS, addressed the delegates session and explained elaborately about the issues related to BSNL‘s revival, launching of BSNL‘s 4G, settlement of wage revision, stagnation and other important issues of the Non-Executives. The General Secretary also explained about the issues being taken up by the CHQ and the necessity to strengthen the Joint Forum of the Non-Executive Unions and Associations of BSNL. The Open Session of the Conference was held on the 2nd day. Com.C.K.Gundanna presided. Com.H.V. Sudharshan, Circle Secretary initiated the discussions. It was addressed by Com. P,Abhimanyu, GS, Shri G.R, Ravi, CGM, Karnataka, Shri Prakash Gopalani, PGM, Bangalore BA, Shri Ashok Kumar Aggarwal, GM(HR), Karnataka circle, Com.Irfan Pasha, Treasurer(CHQ), Com. Muddaiah, Circle Secretary, AIBDPA, Com. S.P.Jagdale, Circle Secretary, SNEA, Com.Saurabh Agarwal, Circle Secretary, AIGETOA, Com. G.S. Bharathi, All India Committee Member of BSNL Working Women’s Coordination Committee and Com. Mahantesh, Secretary, CITU, Karnataka state. Healthy and constructive deliberations were made by the delegates. Especially, they expressed serious concern about the deterioration of the quality of BSNL’s services. Ultimately, unanimous election of office bearers was held. The CHQ heartily congratulates the newly elected office bearers.


The Court has already vacated the stay granted for the declaration of the results of the Special JTO LICE. However, the Corporate Office has so far not declared the results. Com.P.Abhimanyu, GS, discussed this issue with Shri Saurabh Tyagi, PGM (Estt) today and enquired about the reason behind the delay. The PGM (Estt) replied that, BSNL has so far not received copy of the court order. He also stated that, the Management is trying seriously through the advocate, to get the Court order. This is the reason for the delay in declaring special JTO LICE results. Soon after court order copy is received, results will be declared.
Every year, BSNLEU is observing International Women’s Day on 08thMarch. The CHQ has already informed that, this year’s International Women’s Day should be observed together with the Working Women’s Coordination Committees of Central Government, State Government, Bank, LIC, etc, in the appropriate manner. Wherever such joint programme is not possible, the circle and district unions of BSNLEU together with BSNL Working Women’s Coordination Committee (BSNLWWCC) should organise programmes like Seminars, Special meetings, etc. Holi will be celebrated on 8th March this year. Hence, in North India, International Women’s Day may be observed after 8th March.
The Coordination Committee(CoC) of BSNLEU, AIBDPA and BSNLCCWF has already given call to massively participate in the Mazdoor Kisan Rally to be organised at New Delhi on 05.04.2023. The CoC has also given call to organise district level conventions on 10.03.2023, Meet the Employees Programme from 13.03.2023 to 18.03.2023 and Street Corner Meetings from 27.03.2023 to 31.03.2023. The matter contained in the campaign material may be utilised for organising these campaign programmes. Non-Hindi speaking circle secretaries are requested to translate the matter into regional languages and print as leaflets for distribution among each and every employee.
