The two day 11th All India Conference of BSNLEU started enthusiastically at 09:00 am at Coimbatore today. The Conference started with the hoisting of National Flag by Com.Animesh Mitra, President and Union Flag by Com.J. Sampath Rao, AGS. Floral tributes were paid at the martyr’s column. Com.P. Abhimanyu, General Secretary and Com.S. Chellappa, Working Chairman, Reception Committee, welcomed all. Com.A.K. Padmanabhan, National Vice President, CITU, delivered the inaugural address. Com.P.R. Natarajan, Ex. MP & Reception Committee Chairman, Com.V.A.N. Namboodiri, former General Secretary, BSNLEU, Com.A. Soundararajan, President, CITU, Tamil Nadu & Patron, Reception Committee, Com.K.G. Jayaraj, General Secretary, AIBDPA, Com.Chandeshwar Singh, GS, NFTE BSNL, Com.M.S. Adasul, GS, SNEA, Com.Geralad, Joint Secretary, AIGETOA, Com.Vairamani, Treasurer, SEWA BSNL, addressed the inaugural session. After lunch break the delegates session started. Com.P. Abhimanyu, GS, presented the report on activities. Thereafter, delegates session started and is going on. 

The All India Conference of BSNLEU is being held at Coimbatore on 22nd and 23rd July. In this connection, the pre-All India Conference Central Executive Committee meeting of BSNLEU is being held at Coimbatore today. Com.Animesh Mitra is presiding over. Com.P.Abhimanyu,GS, presented the All India Conference Report for approval. Com.Irfan Pasha, Treasurer, submitted the audited accounts to the House. Central Executive Committee members are deliberating on the report and accounts.

A person called Saju V Thomas, from Chhattisgarh, is spreading slanders and abuses against the General Secretary in a WhatsApp Group, with the view to tarnish the reputation of the GS. This person is spreading slanders and baseless allegations against the General Secretary. Some of the slanders spread by this person against the General Secretary are as follows:-

1.  Building Fund was collected from Union members, but the amount has been transferred to a Marxist Trust at Delhi. 
2. P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, has joined hands with the NFTE leaders to sell Dada Ghosh Bhavan and to swindle the money. 
3. P.Abhimanyu, General Secretary, is Lavishly spending union funds, going on foreign tours and is living a five star life by using Union funds collected as subscription from members. 

Many such abusive messages are sent by Shri Saju V Thomas on a WhatsApp Group. This person has left BSNLEU many many years ago. Legal Notice has been issued against this person for filing a defamation case.

BSNLEU, बीएसएनएल में एकता और संघर्ष का अग्रदूत है - आइए, इसके 11वें अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन को एक शानदार सफलता बनाएँ।

BSNLEU ने बीएसएनएल की सभी यूनियनों और एसोसियेशनों को एकजुट करने और सरकार की बीएसएनएल विरोधी नीतियों के विरुद्ध निरंतर संघर्ष करने में एक गौरवशाली भूमिका निभाई है। BSNLEU के मान्यता प्राप्त यूनियन  बनने से पहले, बीएसएनएल में सभी यूनियनों और एसोसिएशनों का कोई साझा मंच नहीं था। इसे केवल BSNLEU ने ही बनाया था।

सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र का निजीकरण सरकार की मुख्य नीति है। इसके बावजूद, आज भी बीएसएनएल एक पूर्णतः सरकारी कंपनी बनी हुई है। यह केवल BSNLEU द्वारा निभाई गई नेतृत्वकारी भूमिका के कारण ही संभव हो पाया है, जिसने सभी एक्ज़िक्यूटिव और नॉन एक्ज़िक्यूटिव कर्मचारियों को एकजुट करके वीरतापूर्ण संयुक्त संघर्षों का आयोजन किया।

तीसरी वेतन आयोग की सिफारिश के आधार पर केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने यह निर्णय लिया है कि बीएसएनएल सहित घाटे में चल रहे सार्वजनिक उपक्रमों के कर्मचारी वेतन संशोधन के पात्र नहीं हैं। लेकिन, BSNLEU के नेतृत्व में हुए व्यापक संघर्षों ने दूरसंचार विभाग को बीएसएनएल के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक को वेतन संशोधन समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने और उसे सरकार की मंज़ूरी के लिए भेजने हेतु पत्र जारी करने पर मजबूर कर दिया। दूरसंचार विभाग के इसी पत्र के आधार पर वेतन संशोधन समिति का गठन किया गया है।

मासिक वेतन के भुगतान में देरी हो रही थी। पूर्व बीएसएनएल अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक ने खुले तौर पर कहा था कि "कर्मचारियों को वेतन देना मेरी प्राथमिकता नहीं है।" केवल BSNLEU ने ही प्रबंधन के विरुद्ध निरंतर संघर्ष चलाकर नियत तिथि पर वेतन भुगतान की माँग की। आज, वेतन का भुगतान नियत तिथि पर हो रहा है।

बीएसएनएल 2010 से लगातार घाटे में चल रहा है। कंपनी के वित्तीय संकट के कारण, कर्मचारियों की माँगों का समाधान करना लगातार मुश्किल होता जा रहा है। इसके बावजूद, आम कर्मचारी BSNLEU को अपना समर्थक मानते हैं।

आम कर्मचारियों द्वारा BSNLEU पर जताए गए विश्वास के कारण, यूनियन लगातार सदस्यता सत्यापन में सफल हो रही है और बीएसएनएल में मुख्य मान्यता प्राप्त ट्रेड यूनियन का दर्जा बरकरार रखे हुए है।

पिछले सदस्यता सत्यापन में भी, BSNLEU ने अपने मतदान प्रतिशत में 5.8% की वृद्धि की थी। हमारे देश के पूरे सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र में ऐसा कोई ट्रेड यूनियन नहीं है जिसने लगातार 8 बार सदस्यता सत्यापन जीता हो। आगामी सदस्यता सत्यापन में भी BSNLEU बड़े अंतर से जीतेगा।

निःसंदेह, आगामी कोयंबटूर अखिल भारतीय सम्मेलन BSNLEU को और मज़बूत करेगा।
