Commissioning of BSNL’s 4G equipments will take one more year - says Director (CM).

Shri Sandeep Govil, Director (CM),BSNL, has issued a letter on 10^th July, 2023, to all the CGMs regarding rolling out of BSNL’s 4G service. It is stated in that letter that, BSNL is purchasing 1 lakh 4G BTSs from TCS and ITI. It is further stated in that letter that, the commissioning of BSNL’s 4G equipments will take one more year, i.e., commissioning of 4G equipments will be completed only in June, 2024. It is to be noted here that, Shri Ashwini Vaishnav, the Hon’ble Minister of communications, is reported to have stated that, BSNL‘s 4G service would be rolled out within three months, and thereafter, BSNL’s 4G would be upgraded into 5G in November-December.
