BSNLEU urges Government to prioritise PRC issue – Memorandum submitted to Hon'ble Minister of State for Communication.

It is learnt that an important meeting on HR issues is scheduled to be held on 15th July between the Hon'ble Minister of State for Communications, senior officials of the Department of Telecommunications and BSNL Management. Ahead of the meeting, BSNLEU has submitted a memorandum to the Hon'ble Minister, urging the Government to take up the Pay Revision Committee (PRC) issue on priority. The union has requested the Government to relax the “Affordability Clause” to facilitate Wage Revision for BSNL employees, in line with the recommendation already made by the BSNL Board to the DoT. The Joint Secretary (Administration), DoT, CMD, BSNL and Director (HR), BSNL are expected to participate in the meeting. BSNLEU expresses the hope that they will strongly support this long-pending demand and facilitate an early and positive decision on Wage Revision.
